I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment at PetSmart Vet and checked in with three people ahead of me, which was completely understandable. What was frustrating was watching at least seven people who came in after me get taken back immediately while I continued waiting. After sitting there for 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, I had to go ask when I would be seen. They told me someone would come get me soon, but I ended up waiting another 10 minutes. When they finally came to get me, I asked how long the appointment would take and was told "only about 10 minutes." That made the 40 minute wait even more frustrating. I asked why everyone else seemed to go straight through while I kept waiting, and I was only told they were "backed up." Poor communication and long wait times completely ruined the experience for me. I will not be returning. read more

But I was also not willing to walk the store looking for someone to help me either. Found what I needed then went to check out. Associated we're talking. Do I give five stars because it's a typical PetSmart? Seriously it's the same exact thing as the other PetSmart. I have to say the workers here are friendly. I even called hours earlier to do a price check on cat food because only about a month ago my cat's Oral Care Science diet was approximately $20. Luckily the girl on the phone took the time to check the price for me. She said it went to $24 approximately. Yah what a big change for only a month. I don't blame PetSmart though. Economy it's a little NUTS right now. I went in and got what I needed. At check out there is only one line. I can bet it's only one line because ITS d#%^* expensive to pay for more workers. When I got to the line there was at least 7 people waiting. Anyways - typical PetSmart. Workers are nice, store is super clean and I found what I needed. Was it stellar customer service? I guess it would be stellar if they opened another check out cashier. But then again.... like I said I literally UNDERSTAND! In this time in our culture, we tend to be satisfied QUICKLY. In May 2024, I took my Yorkie Rio here for dog training and we were paired with Tierra. She was amazing with our Rio and Rio immediately took to Tierra, Both Rio and I learned so much from Tierra. I previously posted a review but don't see it. We took our 1 year old rough coat Collie to get groomed here. They took him in and when I came back to get him I paid before picking him up at the register. After taking him home (no I didn't inspect him before and evidently no one else did) and they shaved his beautiful long hair in his whole back side. And it was chopped with clippers. He looked so bad we haven't taken him out with us like we wanted to do. They refunded the grooming, the manager said she could smooth it out but too late. This place is great! The man (I'm assuming he's the store manager) is amazing! He's super friendly and helpful. I will never forget. Been coming here for 10 years. He's the one opening the doors on Black Friday with a smile. He's the one walking to get carts in the parking lot in 100 degree weather telling customers hi in the parking lot with a smile. He greets you in the store and makes sure to bring you a cart if you need it while shopping. There's another man with long hair that's a cashier. He always remembered me when coming in but haven't seen him in awhile. The woman who does curbside orders is also on point! Big name store with personalized, friendly service. ZERO stars I made an appointment for my dog for a simple nail trim. The soonest was 2 weeks out but I took it. Today my son takes my dog for his NAIL TRIM. They keep my dog for 4 hours! And did NOT trim his nails!!!!!!! When I told them I don't understand 4 hours for a nail trim when I watch someone walk in and they trim HER dogs nails as she watched. They tried to tell me they give next day appointments for nail trims - well I specified NAIL TRIM when I called AND when my son showed up with my dog. I am BEYOND angry. Ana at Petsmart did a fantastic job Grooming! He is a Bichon Frise, so his hair is more difficult to groom. He does not like to be groomed, so some groomers would rather not take the time for him. Ana knew it would be a challenge and was not bothered. She listened my requests and was very patient with him. After all was said and done she grave him an excellent grooming! read more

I took both of my dogs for grooming and on arrival a man was taking out one of my dogs, apparently the lady gave my dog by mistake, my dog is brown and his dog was black. He was about to take my poodle to his house. I'm glad I was at the store at that time. I don't recommend this place as they are not organize. read more

I took my corgi mini Aussie mix here for the first time for a bath and cut. I dropped him off at 9:30am and he wasn't ready until after 4pm. My dog was there for almost 7 hours. I was told 4 hours at the most when I dropped him off. Which has been normal for the other grooming appointments we've had. So I called after 4 hours and was told another hour and a half. So I went in an hour and a half later and was told another 45 minutes. Came back 45 minutes later he still wasn't ready. They said he didn't like the dryer which I understand. But that shouldn't cause the appointment to take 7 hours. Not very impressed. Will not be returning for grooming services. read more

Grooming salon: Awful customer service. The staff working at the grooming salon need serious lessons in communication and appropriate customer interactions. Petsmart really should look into who is representing their brand in this salon. We've been going here for a year and their service has continually degraded. I was hopeful my dog would get a good grooming experience this time, but this was not the case. First my dog ended up in there for 5-1/2 hours. She is a medium size dog, a bath and a cute has never taken that long here or anywhere before. Second her cut was shorter than we asked and it was not a teddy bear cut as we requested. Ya, that's not me....though..lol Went to buy a specific type expensive mercury vapor bulb for our Bearded Dragons... called first to confirm availability. Went in and found the bulb on the shelf.. priced higher then told on the phone, and $20 more then available on the net. but hey local store so I get that. Packaged looked "off" opened and looked at bulb.. it clearly was USED.. dust and fingerprints on the top, metal socket showing clear signs it had been screwed into a socket. Asked if they had another for sale, told no,, pointed out this bulb looked used and was told.." oh".. then she put it back on the self... Have called several times to ask about small feeder cricket availability.. told YES, only to drive down and find,, yes they have some.. BUT NOT FOR SALE. .. Umm why do you think I called??? Have waited for more then 30 min while being ignored... Employees not even ignoring the customers waiting while they performed maintenance tasks (im sure needed, required.. but hey.. LIVE customer over here ) I asked once why customers were left waiting.. and was told they had to finish listed tasks before they could go home at end of shift.. so that took priority over helping customers. ..Sounds like a management issue. read more

I had a bad experience taking my dog to the groomers here. They had a problem with me standing and watching them grind her nails. They wanted me to go shopping and insisted on it. I then went to pick her up and the treatment of my dog when picking her up was unacceptable. The way they restrained her was not okay. They caused her to have non stop coughing when handing her to me from how tight they were holding her. She couldn't breath. I cried when walking to the car from how upset I was. I will not be bringing her back. If I could give zero stars I would. Just the over all feeling when I arrived didn't feel right. read more

Took my pug to get groomed. Bought the bath with furminator add on and teeth brushing. That place smelled terrible!!! I know there are wet dogs but, coming from DFW where I used to live, this place is below standard. How can you expect your dog to be clean and come out smelling good when that place smells so bad? My dog smelled gross, the furminator did nothing because he was still shedding immediately after and they cut his nails crooked. Some are long and some are short? I'm at PetSmart 3-6 time a month buying items for my Maltese and Yorkie pups. It's clean, and many of the employees are friendly (even when they aren't so helpful). Prices could be better, but it's slim pickings here in Killeen! Despite being a difficult pet-parent to please, I've yet to have a horrid experience at the PetSmart in Killeen in the one year I've lived here, which I can't say the same for it's competing establishments AND other PetSmart locations elsewhere. I took my dog to come here two weeks ago and the only real issue i had was it took them 6 hours to get my dog ready for me! They said he was scared of the blow dryer when I know that's not the case. My dog loves the blow dryer when my regular groomer fixes him up and when I do it we joke he acts like a diva. So apparently this added to the time. Also it cost over 80 dollars for a 25 lb dog which is ridiculous for what was done. Considering they buzzed him down no tedious trimming or shaping. Not coming here again. read more

I toke my dogs to the Petsmart groomers 7/18 and they did an ok job. On of my dogs didn't even look like he was brushed or his nails clipped. The other dog was hygienically shaved and nails clipped ok but everything other then that was very bad. I work a store very close the that Petsmart and the lady at grooming and the people at work at petmart now me very will and the GIRL/beast that checked my dogs in was a "f"ing bitch. She was rude, not friendly at all. And if a employ is rude to some one that work at a place around there then that tell u how she is going to be around customers all day. I took my mini schnauzer here a couple of times for grooming. It really depends on who grooms your dog. Sometimes it's so so and other times it's just plain awful. First of all they NEVER call you when your dog is ready and they literally keep your dog for hours. The last time I took my dog there the lady butchered her cut. Was uneven on her head, beard wasn't really trimmed, her ears were also a hack job. On top of that everyone in that grooming salon a bad attitude on the phone and in person.
