Recently moved to the area a few months ago (Active Duty Military) and had a horrible grooming expierance at another PetSmart location in Raleigh (The groomer made my teacup yorkie look like a bald and uneven looking chihuahua ) Just got home and I am still amazed at how good my little guy looks - his coat, cut, ears, feet everything about him looks and feels great. Jaylene (groomer) not only met my expectation but he had exceeded them. He took awsome care of my little guy. I am totally satisfied - if I could give 5 more stars I would. This location is so,equations out of the way, and a little bit of a drive, but it's well worth it. Definitely recommending this location and groomer. read more

There is plenty of parking outside of the business. Once inside an employee was very helpful in assisting me while locating items. Petsmart has a rewards program for discounts and they sell a variety of products such as food, treats, accessories, and clothes for all of your pet friends. They also have yearly photos with Santa for your pets. read more

No professionalism, lazy workers in grooming department, dismissive behavior. My pet appt was cancelled on the spot after waiting 30 minutes in the lobby area . reason was a groomer in training was doing my services and they cant cut matted pups due to lack of training. My pup is half doodle so his hair is thick and has had matted areas before and he was just cut low so being in training should not be the customers problem. Next appointment offered was 7 days later!! I will not be returning to this franchise. I will move my services to somewhere else :( read more

Won't be back to the groomers there they either are lazy or just incompetent . Advised them we wanted to keep puppies fur long they shaved him completely down in February knowing it's still cold . I could have shaved him myself at home for free , won't be back I did call and tell the manager no solutions or refund or discount offered . read more

Don't waste your time or money! We've been bringing our golden here for grooming for over a year now, but unfortunately over time the quality and customer service have just gone down hill. At our most recent appointment, I booked a full grooming package that included a haircut, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing. When we picked him up, he looked a mess--his haircut was uneven all over and he was still damp which left his coat sticking up in all directions. When I called to ask what happened, the woman who answered the phone was less than helpful and seemed dismissive before I asked to be transferred to the manager. I was then told they only performed an outer trim, so none of the teeth brushing or ear cleaning & yet we were still charged the full $81 for the complete service. I would've had better results letting him run through a sprinkler and air drying off in the yard. Sadly, we won't be coming back. read more

I recently took my dog today April 17th for grooming. Her appointment was at 9 AM, and I didn't pick her up until 2 PM, which felt excessively long. This was my second visit. The first time, my dog had a full coat of hair, so I expected it to take longer, and surprisingly they called me about 4 hours later. However, this second time, it was just a bath and a little touch-up, so I didn't expect such a long wait. As a service provider myself, I know how important communication is. Unfortunately, the person I spoke with on the phone was quite rude, which was disappointing. However, when I arrived, the groomer, kaitlin I believe was much nicer and more professional. I was told that puppies were prioritized, which made me feel like my dog's grooming wasn't as important, even though I'm paying for the service as well. Towards the end, I overheard a comment that it doesn't take 3 to 2 hours, which was frustrating since I'm not new to this. Because of how I was treated, I might not be returning. I had finally started again on grooming her prior to me doing it myself . It's unfortunate since I was recommended to this place and live 3 minutes away. Sharing our terrible experience from yesterday at Petsmart Grooming in Knightdale so others don't make the same mistake. Are you kidding me? I brought my 10-lb shih tzu chihuahua mix to her 11:30am grooming appt at 11:25. I was rudely told not to ring the buzzer when groomers were in the room, despite me walking in and not being acknowledged. I was told it would take 4 hours. There was a new sign saying latest pickup tonight was 6:30. I asked to be called 10 mins before Mila would be ready so I could be sure to get there before I had to leave to teach a 5:30 and 6:30pm workout class. I was assured she would "definitely be ready" before then. I call at 3:45 and after being put on hold for 10 mins by 3 different employees (no exaggeration there), I was informed that Mila was JUST NOW getting on the table. I expressed my surprise and frustration as I reiterated what I told the groomers at drop off and how I was assured she would be ready in time. I was told that was an "estimate" and that they've been backed up and "busy all day." Well that's funny because I had this appointment booked out for 6 weeks. I explained I had to teach and couldn't come until after if she wasn't going to be ready in time and the employee said, "well what do you want to do? You can get her now and whatever is already done will be done she just won't be finished." I scheduled a full groom for my dog because she needed a full groom. What I *wanted* and expected was for my appointment time and length to be honored. Even their website says 2-4 hours for a groom. Again, this is a small dog- she's maybe 10 lbs soaking wet. Instead, my poor girl sat in a cage for the better part of 8 hours until I could come and get her at 7:35pm, just before close. They called me at 5pm to say she was ready- well beyond the 4 hour window I was given and past the time that I could pick her up before leaving to teach. The manager who got Mila from the back was unapologetic. Quite frankly it's not my problem that they were backed up today, had someone on maternity leave and had a groomer quit 2 weeks ago. I was charged the full price of the groom. I will sooner learn to groom my dog myself than ever EVER return to this location. From start to finish this was handled terribly and I'm more than disappointed and infuriated. This is completely unacceptable. I am not one to write a public negative review, but Petsmart made the mistake of emailing me asking for one after the service. Several mistakes were made, to be honest, and not one single apology was provided. Let this serve as a warning to others that your precious dog will likely sit in a cage with no food or water for 8+ hours despite booking an appointment 6 weeks prior. Not to mention, it was a pretty shitty groom. Deplorable. UPDATE- I just got a call and had a conversation with someone named Aaron from the Knightdale PetSmart. He was very professional and apologetic. I appreciate that this was not his doing and was not his fault, but it's unfortunate that my dog had to pay the price of a mis-managed grooming department. He let me know this is not their standard and that I'll be getting a full refund. While I won't be returning to this location (or potentially any other PetSmart for that matter) I do appreciate the courtesy of him reaching out and doing what he could to help. It's a very unfortunate situation all around and I hope that they do implement changes and stop over-booking. read more

I've come to this location a few times for my mom's dog. We use banfield as her vet and we've had a good experience so far. We used the grooming salon for the first time this weekend and as much as I hate to, I was disappointed. Everyone was nice and friendly when I dropped my dog off. My dog's hair was really matted and I expected to get charged extra. It was $16 more than regular one but she needed her hair cut so I went ahead and asked them to cut it as short as possible. And to make sure they get her butt, around her eyes, and face in general. My mom had to pick her up and as her English is not as good as mine, she just brought our dog home and told me how much she didn't like it. She insisted that I take her back. They had shaved all of her hair except for the forehead. Apparently it was in a ponytail but our dog hates accessories so when we took her hair down, she looked hideous with no hair on the body but hair all up in her eyes and in the air. I ended up taking her back and they were again, very friendly. They just shaved it off and it looked much better. When I brought her home, I noticed that there are random long pieces of hair throughout her body that they had missed. I had to cut the long pieces myself because I was not gonna take her back again. I also noticed that her facial hair was cut very unevenly. It looked like it was just chopped off. I also had to go back and cut to make it even myself. I was irritated at this point and felt like my money was wasted. THEN, I noticed that she kept scratching her face. I took a look and saw that they had cut her face right under the eye. The scar was not there when I dropped her off in the morning. It was so red and swollen. I know that my dog can get a bit scared, has separation anxiety, and she doesn't like getting hair cuts. However, if the stylist noticed that the dog cannot sit still for the haircut, they should've asked to put the dog on Benadryl or something. Not only that, they did not even mention such thing had happened when she was picked up or when I went back. You know, if I'm paying almost $65 for grooming, I expect good results. I've been going to this location for over a year and I've not had any issues whatsoever and for the price, I'm am content w/the finished result. My little guy is now over 14 years old, he's a mixed terrier of sorts, he has skin issues that we can't seem to get under to be able to rid him of them and he's real sensitive with his paws and legs being trimmed, he's also got reoccurring ear issues ... that being said Abby is absolutely AWESOME at her craft and she's so patient with him ... before I started using her, Imani was cutting him and she did a wonderful job as well ... very nice gals. I definitely recommend either one of them. read more

Petsmart's grooming service is one I've used many times over the years, and it's a consistently awful experience. Just once, I'd have loved to book an appointment for my pet, have them provide the service as described, and then move on with my life. Instead, it's a comedy of errors every single time. Most recently, I had an appointment standing for several days, and they called to cancel 30 minutes beforehand because "senior dogs take too long." Actually making it to the appointment without a cancellation is a coin flip, with a cancellation appearing for some reason or another about half the time. I've never once had them actually cut my dog's hair like I've asked. The problem was so consistent that I assumed it was on my end, so I started bringing pictures, but still I showed up and had to awkwardly ask for revisions when they cut my dog's hair however they wanted. Can y'all please get a grip and figure out whether or not you want to groom dogs here? You'd have wasted a whole lot less of my time if you'd answered that question sooner. read more

A truly HORRIBLE experience with the grooming service. The groomer was arguing about my dog's hair on her paws being matted from the rain. She lied about only shaving the paws and was petty and rude and shaved my entire dog bald. I would have never allowed her to shave my dog and she wouldn't even come out to tell me herself that she did. It was insulting to be offered $3 off of the grooming service. That woman should never be grooming another dog if she is going to go behind people's back. read more

We used to shop at the location exclusively for our dogs food, but unfortunately it's become a major issue. Since shortly before their location change, and now consistently since, they never seem to have quite a few different dog foods in stock, including what we need. I've emailed the manufacture and they've been very clear that there is ZERO availability issue, that it is very simply an inventory / stocking issue on the stores end. This is the most convenient store for us, but sadly we'll be going elsewhere from now on. Maintaining stock of the items that you sell is of utmost importance to maintain customer loyalty. Obviously, they're going to be issues that sometimes affect this, but what I see here is a bigger, different problem. Absolutely horrendous child in grooming dept who told me she just got out of the grooming academy thinks it's ok to speak down to you. We moved here two weeks ago across the country with our kids and dog and with packing/moving and the chaos that comes with it, our dog became matted and we scheduled her appt. They called one hour before the appt to tell me they can't take her in, I explained the deep need for her grooming and this kid starts giving me lessons saying "1st of all we can't control people getting sick, second of all, if you brushed your dog she wouldn't get matted" ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING. To belittle me with advice as if I'm not aware of properly taking care of my dog. She has no idea of our situation and has no right to speak to a customer that way. Shame on you. And shame on petsmart if they keep this girl in this department. read more

Great experience! My picky senior dog, Milo, (who has kidney disease) needed to switch up his Hill's Science Diet prescription dog food. My vet didn't have any in stock & couldn't get any from the company. I called around to several Petsmarts in the Triangle area & pretty much no one had it in stock. Thankfully, this location did! When I called, the associate was quick to find the product, tell me how many cans they had & offered to put it on hold for me. When I arrived at the store later that evening, two associates happily greeted Milo & I & commented on how cute he was. :) At the next register, I saw the basket of the dog food. They got it for me, rung me up & we were on our way. I was happy about the price, too. I used a Hill's coupon & saved $7! Plenty of parking & clean store. read more

Just left after purchasing a bag of dog food. While I was there, I told the store associate that one bag had a hole it in and there were LIVE LARVA crawling all over the bag. The only other bag that was left also had cobwebs and dead larva on it, but I didn't see any LIVE larva on it. I told her this was the only bag left, as well and that it was also covered in cobwebs and had some dead larva on it. She let me go ahead and take the bag. When I got home and opened the bag it was full of LIVE bugs and cobwebs!!! I called and spoke with the manager.....I will only be getting to exchange my bag for another bag. Really!!!? Will never return. Drove 25 minutes for them to tell me they wouldn't groom our dog because he showed his teeth. I have taken him to 6 other groomers and NEVER had a problem. Obviously if I am still standing there he is gonna be uneasy with you touching him. Very unprofessional for being a pet store smh. Vets and pros only for now on! The store itself was fine. However my experience at the groomers did not go so well. First problem was the young lady greeting customers. She held a conversation with another customer for about 15 minutes. I wouldn't mind until I noticed that she was just making small talk. Example "he is so cute where did you get him, I have two dogs and etc etc. " . I have a dog and he was a walk-in for a paw-dicure . This was a special or some kind of deal that was posted so I decided to take advantage. My dog was supposed to get the fur around his paws cut and nails cut and grind, bow or bandanna. My dog comes out with only a portion of his fur around his paws cut the fur between his little feet still had fur that was untouched and no bow or bandanna. I don't think it should have taken approximately 25 minutes to drop off my dog for a paw-dicure for a walk in that I was told that my dog would be the only one at that time. read more

We get our dogs groomed here and get dog food, etc at this location. Mostly friendly staff. Nice manger. The groomers do a good job. Some of the staff can be overly talkative in an attempt to be friendly, but tend to hold up the line. All with good intentions. Location is very convenient to getting other shopping done. read more

My dog loves his groomers and the staff. Groomer makes sure I'm aware of any issues that may be occurring like possible ear infections. We have been going here for about 3 years. Store staff is always friendly and greets my dog on every visit. read more

He took extra care to consult with us on exactly what we wanted and was so thorough and enthusiastic. You can tell he loves his job and dogs. Our dog looks so good and he loves his cut!
