I have hesitated to write a review (it has been months) because it's not entirely positive. It was our first time going here and I wasn't told they would come out and collect my dogs. But I wanted to talk to someone because one of my dogs was in diapers and I wanted to make sure she was taken care of, so I went in. The person at the desk said it would be fine, they had lots of experience and they would send pics everyday. So I left thinking they would be well taken care of, especially after reading the great reviews. After the first day when I hadn't received pictures, I called to see if they were ok and if I could get pics. I was assured they were fine and they sent pics. The next day, nothing. I had to call everyday to see if my dogs were ok. I didn't get pictures everyday like I was promised. When I did get pictures the one time I asked why my dogs were together, in a small enclosed space, with no other dogs. I had asked that my one dog get to go out and play with other dogs, but they didn't do that. They said they wanted to keep them together, although I had explained that my older dog in diapers wouldn't have cared. I began questioning whether anything I asked had been done. We paid over $1,000 for a week and don't feel that the service we received was worth it. There are lots of great reviews here but we can't add to them. read more

We generally have a pet sitter, and our dog and cats love her, but the other week, something came up, and she was unavailable. So our dog, Glitch, needed a place to stay. Dog Gone Happy came through for us. I was nervous, and Glitch went in hesitantly, but when I went to pick him up. Watching the dogs run in when they got there for daycare made me feel better, and when I picked him up, you could tell he had played hard and had a good ol time. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a place. read more

This place is amazing and I don't know where they managed to find such great people to work there. I'm single and have one dog. She's one of the most important things in my life. I travel for work frequently and would do anything to ensure that not only she's safe, but that she's happy and enjoying her days as well. I trust Dog Gone Happy to take care of her - that's saying a lot. They are so mindful that they separate the dogs by energy/personality groups AND they have individual suites with beds for overnight stays. I 1,000% recommend these people. read more

Love that they send you some pics of your pet while your gone but was told it would be an everyday occurrence which was a little disappointing. They say you can bring your dogs bed so they can feel more comfortable while your away but I don't even think they have it to him. I was worried sick my whole holiday. I called to get an update on it he's sleeping or eating or playing with all the other dogs. It looks like the "outside yard" is a tiny covered outside porch that is really small.. read more

Used dog gone happy for day care and boarding for my 2 year old Havanese, Henry. They took great care of him - especially as he isn't normally in daycare/boarded (he's a bit spoiled and is with me...pretty much all the time). Staff took the time to answer all my questions and were able to accommodate a last minute booking. Dog Gone Happy is the best! Their drop-off and pick-up routines are so easy. Liesl loves it there! I don't worry about her because I know the dogs get personal attention, and are playing with size and temperate appropriate friends. I enjoy getting pictures of her having fun. Although I try not to, it's nice to know that if things come up last minute, they will do their best to accommodate. I will continue take my baby for boarding and day care! read more

Robin E absolutely amazing facility. I have enjoyed the daycare as well as boarding and additional services they offer. The staff is over the top when you drop your four-legged child off, you know they are in safe hands, and well loved as if they belong to the staff. They spend the majority of their day out of kennels instead of in a kennel and are interacting with other dogs as well as staff. I recommend Doggonehappy in Raleigh NC. read more

We toured Dog Gone Happy today and it's absolutely amazing. We will be going out of the country on vacation for a week, and I was insanely nervous about finding the right place. I have no worries about leaving our dog with Dog Gone Happy. The entire place is super clean, the service is great. The owners personally gave us a tour of everything and spent over 30 minutes with us. They answered our questions and you can tell they genuinely care about animals. They are both past employees of VSH. The pricing is very reasonable, and they truly don't nickel and dime you like other places (see my other reviews). Our two senior dogs, Bentley and Sophie, just completed a 12-day stay. They are both "special needs" i.e., one is deaf and one has walking issues. Sophie is a shitz-tu generally unfriendly with other dogs. We have rarely boarded them, so they are strongly attached to being only with us. Jen took them for a "trial play day" which we were nervous, as they both flunked at Dogtopia. She and the handlers took close care to put them with size & temperment-appropriate dogs and they got along just fine! Jen & her staff really know what they are doing! During boarding, she sent us pictures of them playing with other dogs. Bentley & Sophie stayed together at night. The best thing I like about DGH are the variety of overnight accommodations. No wire cages or pens-Only spacious concrete walls with glass front doors. Great for the dogs to see out and nothing for the dogs to chew or bite. Comfortable accomodations for all sizes. They are allowed their own bedding, toys, comfort items, treats, etc. We picked them up after 12 days and they were happy and healthy, and have settled back into their normal routine with no issues whatsoever. I will not hesitate to use DGH again and feel very fortunate to have found them for our dogs. read more

I adopted my sweet boy, Cooper, from the SPCA in June of 2018. He is a sweet boy, but he had zero social skills with other dogs. He received obedience training and gained some confidence, but he needed to be socialized. Cooper received daily walks from a Rover sitter, but because I could not trust him in the house alone, he remained crated while I was at work. He was full of energy and I felt bad having to crate him for the majority of the day. Things happen and my Rover sitter was no longer available. On the advice of my neighbors, I took Cooper to Dog Gone Happy for a temperament test. Cooper did not do great. He was anxious and scared (that day was the first time I had ever left him anywhere!). I brought him home and was trying to figure out what to do next, when I received a call from one of the owners, Jennifer. She said Cooper was a sweet boy (he is) and asked if I'd be willing to bring him back for two days in a row and they would see if they could work with him. I was more than willing to do so. Cooper did GREAT! Jennifer, Karen, and the staff worked with Cooper and gave him the individual attention he needed. The owners really know dogs and knew how to bring Cooper out of his shell! He is slowly working his way into becoming a happier, healthier, socialized dog who is now living his best life because the owners at Dog Gone Happy took a chance on Cooper and worked with him. I do not know how to express how grateful I am for their kindness. Cooper will be attending daycare five days a week for as long as he can. I highly recommend Dog Gone Happy. The owners and staff are patient, kind, knowledgeable, generous people, who genuinely care about the dogs in their care. They will not only take excellent care of your dogs, but will also go the extra mile to work with dogs like Cooper, who need extra attention. I will be forever grateful! read more

What a wonderful experience! I have two older dogs who can be challenging, our male dog requiring a muzzle(they are both skiddish and large!) but today both successfully had baths, brushing, nail trim, you name it, I added it onto their service. After we had several issues with our previous daycare/boarding hotel, we found Dog Gone Happy. We were primarily interested in the luxury suites because our dog Delilah loves to sleep on our bed. Since then, this is our go to for daycare and boarding. Even though there are other places much closer to our house it is worth the drive. Jen, Karen, and the rest of the staff are incredibly nice, knowledgeable and our dogs always come home tired but happy. We love that if our dogs stay for the night, they spend the day playing without being charged extra. I would highly recommend DGH. read more
