First impression.. the store shelves were almost empty throughout the store. The store was in desperate need for a restock. There was only one lane open with a long line. I didn't see any other associates on the floor. The cashier was so rude. My first bad experience at a Petsmart. Im not sure if it was because the store was busy and she was the only one but she was not pleasant AT ALL. I really wish I had her name. I witness her spoke rudely to the guy ahead of me about a return. I am not one to leave negative reviews until I have honestly received bad service. I had an appointment for my BichonPoo today and the service I got went my mom went in with him was horrible. They barely touched him and said they could not because he was matted too close to the skin. Then proceeded to accuse us of always leaving my pup with a collar on which is absolutely incorrect. Laurel asked another groomer for their opinion and she did not even touch him and said no. They ended up giving me numbers to vet hospitals to get the service done which did not help me in any way. PetSmart should really consider who they hire as groomers and or services they offer if they are not real professionals which in my opinion they are not. I've see them cut down a bulldogs nail to the point where they were bleeding everywhere. Save your money and do not go here to get your fur babies groomed. We love love love our PetSmart! We bring our Great Dane puppy here for baths, for fun shopping times and all the pets from people shopping and working there. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. We recently had to switch to a prescription food. I called to ask if they had a very specific food at this location and the girl who answered was incredible. She checked in the computer system and couldn't find it but still took the time to walk back in the aisles and physically look for us. When they didn't have it there she gave me perfect recommendations on how to find it. The extra care they take with their clients is outstanding. This is my go to spot for my dog. Items are always well stocked. Employees are cheerful and great you and are available. They carry a variety of dog food and snacks. The only negative may be that the section for the supplements and shampoos was not stocked on that day and on other days I have been there. Other than that, Very pleasant location. Horrible Customer Service Lauderhill. I made an online purchase at the incorrect store (100% my fault). I called the Lauderhill location and explained what I did and needed to cancel the order and get a FULL refund as I purchased at the correct store. I was informed I would receive the refund in 5-7 business days AFTER I haven't picked up in 72 hours. Its now been 2 weeks and Delia one of their managers has a nasty attitude and refusing to help. I got an unexpected new addition to the family. An adorable little chihuahua. He came without much and we needed to get him a few things. I have not been to this Petsmart before and I feel like I should have. I have two other dogs, but I usually get their food closer to home. What attracted me to this particular sore was the animal hospital they ha e in house. This store os massive and carry pretty much everything you may possibly need for your furry friends. They even sale snakes! I encountered a few sales associates throughout the store and was asked if I needed assistance. Also, the nurse I spoke to at the clinic was very courteous and helpful. I made an appointment for my new dog. One thing I was iffy about was some of the dogs walking around the store with their people. I understand they are allowed in the store of course, but some are not that well behaves and rile up the other dogs. All in all a great store. I will definitely be back read more

I have always been hesitant on dog groomers until I brought my German Shepard puppy to pet smart groomers and had the pleasure of meeting Kat! Her and the whole staff in the grooming division were super welcoming and answered any questions I had. They made my puppy look amazing and now when we drop him off he SPRINTS to the ladies ready to play! They even wrote a little report card on how his visit was and if there was anything I needed to know such as his behavior in the bath and how he handled being in a kennel. I highly recommend going elsewhere for grooming. First red flag was seeing the way they were grabbing the dogs faces saying NO!!! It certainly doesn't help them to calm down and feel safe. I have a pitbull who is a lazy ol fat girl and pretty easy but they refuse to cut her nails saying she won't let them which is strange because she never has problems anywhere else and her normal groomer is an older Asian woman. I asked to try it while I am there so I can see what exactly she's doing to be difficult but the girl refused saying she rather not. Then she said she wouldn't even get up on the table which was obviously way to small and even the dog could see that and wasn't comfortable so I asked can she just do it while she's comfortable on the ground but she said she rather not. We left and went to my moms who has dog nail clippers and I ended up just doing them myself. As usual she sat down and let me with no problem. I even put a towel over her head lol My Cleo loves going to the groomers but both times we came here she seems so stressed and scared afterwards. I had an appointment for a puppy bath with apprentice (Aly, G.) In the grooming services department. Horrific experience and customer service with her in particular. This was my second time here in the grooming service department but this time I had a different groomer than the first time. I wouldn't let her touch my puppy again to make this clear. She bluntly stated "he needs training" and we're not going to be able to trim his nails or blow dry him anymore. Not to sure what puppy at 15 weeks is fully trained but my puppy knows the basic commands, maybe she needs more training. I was then charged for a Puppy bath and a "Top Pup Plus" separately which was SUPPOSED to be included in the FREE Bath coupon and should have been combined as 1. I was told i didn't initially tell them I had a "coupon". I didn't know i had to tell them i had a coupon, when transactions aren't done in the grooming services but completed at checkout with a cashier at the front of the store.The store overall is great and friendly, but I will definitely request a more experienced groomer capable of handling large breed puppies. They proceed to tell me that my favorite groomer called out (everyone else has a pretty bad track record- urine on the dogs during pickup, scratched on her belly, etc.) and has a high fever. No worries- I get that. Then, they proceed to tell me that there's now no openings, and we'd have to reschedule, after they took a Caucasian gentleman in as a walk in for 8am already. Expensive!!! I've been here several times and I am not sure why I am just noticing how expensive they are. So I went in to buy my pitt some snacks and more flavorful and rich foods and everything was overprice. After I left, I went straight to Walmart and found the same exact products for half the price, from the Beds to the food to the collars. Besides being a rip-off, they always only have one cashier even when they are busy. I think they are understaffed. I had to stand in line for ten minutes while someones giant overweight dog bark at my dog the hole entire time. If dogs aren't friendly, they shouldn't be allowed in the store. I shouldn't have to stand in front of my dog to avoid another dogs anger. They need more cashiers and definitely more sales or discounts. read more

Grooming: Customer Service. I was going out of the country and made a grooming appointment for when I returned. The app allowed me to make an appointment for 5:30. The day before the appointment, while I'm out of the country with no way to call, they leave me a message telling me to call before 9:30pm because they close at 6pm on the day of my appointment and will not have enough time to provide the service. I get an email at 7:35 that my appointment was cancelled. There are no other appointments available at that location or Pembroke Pines on the day I need. Marianne truly has been the best groomer I've taken Maxwell to! I've tried other PetSmart's that I won't mention and they just don't pay as much attention to detail as Marianna does! My pup is a long haired Shepard Husky mix and sheds uncontrollably. She tackled his undercoat by using the #10 blade and then perfectly blends his head, legs and leaves his tail nice and fluffy (I request the tail to be left alone). I signed up at PetSmart for delivery at food, because it was cheaper and I wasn't in good health to travel around, I placed the order and went on my merry way, the next morning I opened my email to find they cancelled my order, I checked my checking account and had plenty of money to purchase the dog food. I then called the number in the email and get in touch with a wonderful customer service rep named Doreen and she helped me get my email to verify account, replace my orders and after 45 minutes straight out the account. FLEAS!!!!!! I have been going to this PetSmart grooming for over 5 years. Normally I don't have a problem besides the occasional hair cut too short or left too long, or taking a little longer then estimated time. The last two visits have been very unpleasant. They cut ( his penis )my dog during grooming couldn't finish the haircut and had to send him to clinic i was told the grooming next time would be free after his wound healed. When I went back for the grooming they gave me a hard time because they failed to put a note in the system about the incident while my dog clearly was un even and there was another groomer who was vouching for me as she was there the day he was cut. Now this is the last time because when I picked him up he had FLEAS and when I called back the manager ALEX ( who was rude ) insisted that it's a pet store and there are so many other places he could have contracted them and if he's treated then they'll die. Needed my dogs nails cut urgently as she has skin irritation and was cutting herself with her nails because antibiotics hadn't kicked in yet, but they rather watch a dog's skin peel off than put a muzzle on her for 3 mintues it takes because her rabies shot was a couple months past due. Went down the block to the pet groomer and they had no problem doing it, didn't even use a muzzle because you call tell the dog is a an angel. I live in Sunrise but bring my cat Tigger here for grooming since the one nearest to me doesn't have a cat groomer. Yavonne takes amazing care of my baby. He's very nervous and skittish when leaving my home but I can tell she has a way with him and he feels comfortable with her. If he starts getting nervous, she just gives him time and let's him relax which I appreciate. She also makes sure to tell me if she notices something goes on like for example last time she noticed his nails were starting to get split. I took my Ruby there to get groomed yesterday (just a basic $28 bath package) and they treated her really well. Since it was her first time there (I normally bathe her myself) they slowly took her through everything while I was there to make sure she would react OK to it. When she did, I gave them the thumbs up. It took about 2 hours so I got some shopping done at Super Target next door and when she came out she was clean, hyper, and happy as ever. I've been coming to this location for 5 years or more. I had three pomeranians, one passed away in 2019. The groomer we had moved away and ever since then it hasn't been the same. While living in Tallahassee temporarily, I took my dogs to get groomed at the Petsmart there. My dogs are over 10 years old, so they get cranky. Well one of my dogs bit a bather when she attempted to pull him out the kennel. There were no other issues or complaints about his behavior during that visit, just the fact that he bit someone and from now on he has to be express. Fine. I moved back home to Fort Lauderdale. Scheduled appts for my two dogs to get groomed online. Added that one needed to be express in the comments. I get there and I'm told, they can take one dog, but the other one can't come in until 10 mins later. What? I was annoyed but came back and dropped my other dog off. I picked them up, they got praise for being so well behaved. Awesome. Scheduled another appt two months later. I get a phone call that only one person is there and they can't take anymore dogs, so can they reschedule for the next day. Annoyed again, but I rescheduled. I arrive the next day 5 mins before their appt time. I'm asked to bring the dogs back in 5 mins because the groomer isn't there yet and the dog I have that is express can't be left in the kennel and she was just a bather. Um, seriously? My dogs are between 11-15 lbs and they are elderly. What are they going to do to you, that they can't be left in your kennel for 5 mins until the groomer comes???? Once again, annoyed and did as she asked. 2 mins later the groomer comes, takes my dogs. I come back, once again no complaints about my dogs behaving badly during the grooming process. Because of all these issues my last two visits last year, I decided to schedule the grooming appts on separate days. I took one dog today, on my way I called to let them know I was running 10 mins late. Gave the woman my dog's name. She said it was okay. I arrive. She sees in the computer after adding my dog's new updated Rabbies vaccine date, that my dog has to be express all of a sudden and not when I gave her my dog's name on the phone 10 mins earlier. She talks to another woman and they both tell me they can't take my dog and I need to reschedule. I told them I scheduled them on different days so I wouldn't run into this issue, and he's been coming here for 5 years and never did anything to anyone here and the incident that did flag him as express occurred in Tallahassee. One of the women said, well he needs to be rescheduled cause we close in 3 hours and have other dogs to do today. First of all, I had an appt. So my dog was one of those dogs to be done before you closed. Secondly what is the big deal? He's a little dog? So I asked them to cancel my other dogs appt for tomorrow. I'm done! I'm no longer taking my dogs to another Petsmart to be groomed. That "we need to reschedule" line has to do with them not wanting to do the work. They all looked tired when I walked in there. I see new people every few weeks which isn't a good thing in my opinion. My dogs always looked great when I left. The issue isnt i of how well they groom my dogs, but they're policy and how much things have changed since Covid. read more
