Looking for an alternative to my usual mobile groomer who jacked up price and more importantly was inconsistent. K-9 is centrally located, so it is easy to get to you. They also offer drop off and pick up, if needed. Groomers were friendly and location was clean. I liked the open little area where the larger doggies could hang out waiting for their turn. My Milo is not a fan of the process but he was considerably less stressed out afterwards than he usually is. Results were adorable. The hand written thank you note mailed to my home with a discount card for the next visit was a nice touch. Prices are very reasonable- seems like they offer the "discount" regularly. Was a regular here for many years until our fur baby passed away. Now we have a new baby and today was his first grooming experience at k9 The staff is always courteous and professional and the prices are much better than other local spots. Tried K-9 Kuts for the first time, unfortunately this is the worst place that we have taken our dog for grooming. First of all, the place did not look as if it was clean as well as looked run down without any up keep. Secondly, our poor dog was cut and was bleeding not just in one location but four places, I could understand one cut by mistake but 4 cuts are too many. Our dog is 14 years old and is very calm so I don't think it was my dogs fault, also, he has been groomed for many years and I don't recall ever having this problem. Finally, if you're considering taking your pet to K-9 Kuts, please re-consider, it's not worth taking your dog to this place. read more

Called to get a quote for grooming my Bernese Mountain Dog. One would think that being a first time customer, the response would be full of enthusiasm and that she would offer information about their facility and services. Unfortunately, the woman who answered the phone was cold, and made me ask questions rather than offering any information whatsoever. End result, their tub "only holds dogs up to 90 lbs." I have been a client for years until recently. I have five dogs, which I brought in all the time. On my last visit I made an appointment for my two yorkies. I brought them in the morning and specified how I wanted there hair cut- which was extra short, and as usual they were not ready until closing time (which always bothered me bc I don't like to keep my dogs there all day unneccessarily). When I returned in the afternoon it seemed as though they had barley been groomed at all. They both had long hair, just now very choppy long hair, opposite of what I had requested. I told the groomer that I wanted there hair shorter and would wait while she cut it. She told me that she was actually closing early because she had somewhere to be. There was another girl in the back, so she hollered at her to see if she could stay, which she also said she could not because she had plans. Trying not to be difficult, I told them it was not a problem and that I would bring them around 11 am the next day, which the lady said was fine. The following morning when I was to bring them in I recieved a text message at 9 am saying I needed to bring them earlier (which I had also specified I could not) because 11 was too late for drop off. Um. excuse me but I was already being inconvenienced to have to bring them again so I called and was answered by the owner, Serina. I explained the situation and that I was bring them back in and had made an appointment for 11 and asked if that time would still be ok. She was extremely rude and acted as though she was doing me a favor by re-cutting my dogs hair. I disregarded it and brought my dogs in anyways. I arrived promptly at 11 am to be greeted by the very rude Serina. I asked approximately how long it would take because I planned on waiting since it was only a shave and she snapped back that I could return at closing time. Not wanting to make the drive again I asked her if it was possible for them to be done first, or at least within a couple hours- especially since she was rushing me to get them in. She told me no. Why should she make my dogs priority? I don't know? Maybe because I am a regular, paying customer that was unhappy with the service I received? She then continued to be extremely rude and difficult to the point that I felt uncomfortable leaving my dogs there. I told her I would wait however long it took, and she told me that I could not wait in the store. Seriously? At that point I definitely was not going to leave my babies there, so I asked if I could just have a refund and leave. She offered me only half of the cost back, which I accepted just to leave that place. The next day I had to take my dogs somewhere else and pay full price to get them regroomed properly. To say the least, me and my FIVE dogs will not be back EVER again!!!! For being in the hospitality industry, she really needs to learn a thing about customer satisfaction and how to make things right. If anyone reading this must go, then just stay away from the owner, like I was fortunate enough to had never to this point dealt with, and maybe you'll get a bad haircut but no attitude. read more

Since we don't have to rush from one dog to the next, we can take our time and really interact with your pet while we are busy making him or her beautiful again." "Pampering Your Pet Is Our Passion." And Google's K9 Kuts reviews were all 5 stars with Statements like "Best groomers ever." "K9 Kuts was awesome." "TLC" "The staff is friendly and professional." Wow, our mini-schnauzer, Maddie, will really have a great groom and cut and have a great time too. WRONG. Friendly and Professional staff? It didn't happen for me or our dog, Maddie. I expected a warm, friendly, and caring staff member to check us in. One that would make friends with Maddie first, like the way our other groomers did. One that asked questions about how we wanted Maddie cut. One that told us what the grooming included. I got none of this. I got a person that was far from warm and friendly and she gave no information without being asked. She made no effort to make friends with Maddie at any time while I was there. I was the one that had to ask the questions. I went back to the Condo and told my wife I was surprised that the place didn't live up to its website and reviews. I had reservation about leaving Maddie there. But how could all the great 5 Stars reviews be wrong? The most important thing is Maddie will be getting a great cut from the "Best Groomer Ever." Maddie gets groomed every 3 or4 weeks. Her hair grows very fast and we like Maddie to look good. We live in Brookfield, Wisconsin and we were visiting Weston for 2 weeks during our 3 months stay in Florida. Petsmart doesn't have a store in Weston. So we looked on Google for a Weston pet groomer. We picked K9 Kuts based on their website and Google's reviews. Maddie was groomed at Petsmart in Brookfield just 4 weeks ago. We have always been happy with her grooming at Petsmart. Maddie last cut was the way we liked it. What we got was not what we come in with. The cut was not the same. Maddie needed a trim. Maddie didn't need a new cut. The outline of her last cut was there. It was not like Maddie did not have a grooming and cut for 3 or 4 months. Maddie new cut was one of being over cut. The front legs were cut too low. The rear legs were cut with too much off the inside leg. Now, I know that each mini-schnauzer cuts can be a little different, but why not ask the owner first before you change the cut? As I was leaving K9 Kuts, I even told them if they have any questions or problems to call me. They did not call. At Petsmart we always get a report card for Maddie's visit. A report on what was done and how Maddie did and if we should do something to make Maddie's next visit even better. All I got from them was the here is the bill. I asked, "How did Maddie do during her grooming and cut?" The young lady said, "She did all right for the most part." What does that mean? The groomer in back didn't have the time to stop her grooming another dog and show me about any trouble she had with Maddie's cut. She told me from the back of the room where she was grooming another dog about hair in Maddie's ear and a problem she had with the skirt. I would give K9 Kuts 1 Stars for grooming and cut and for lack of communication with me. I would give them no Stars for "Pampering Maddie, and a Friendly, Professional Staff." This adds up to 1/2 Star overall. I contacted them by their website's, "contact us" email, asking them for their side of our encounter before I posted a Google's reviews. I did not hear back from them. Had the owner called me with her side of the story, I wouldn't have posted this review. And I really don't understand why my encounter with K9 Kuts wasn't even close to the Google Reviews. read more
