My dog completed private training with Nancy and though she was not a fan of having to do work for treats, she learned a lot during her time here. My dog was nervous so Nancy had an intro first before starting our sessions and took the time and patience with her to help her warm up each and every class. Held 45min for grooming needed to know if my dogs were ready for pick up it was the end of the day, drove there from work and they still didnt pick up i was paying and the hold music was playing still on my phone. Manager said they were short, but she had to come out of her office, why not help your employees. The line was 10 people deep and she went back to her office. read more

They had minimal staffing and the store looked like I had walked in on an overnight shift when employees are stocking shelves even tho there was nothing really on the shelves but carts of things that needed to be unpacked. The Petsmart locations in Levittown and Farmingdale are much more appealing and the cages and sales floor are better stocked and are cleaner too read more

I will say that the small number of employees working were wonderful, helpful, and polite. Store is clean and well stocked. I find this chain overpriced but needed some mothers milk for a kitten who walked into our business. There was only 2 options- the can of dry or the small "sippy" style container. I purchased a small bag of Hills kitten kibble, 1 small container of mothers milk, a small kitten collar, a small box of kitten pate, a cat toy, and a bed from the clearance section. $140 They have an awesome cat rescue inside! read more

Definitely not customer friendly. I recently went there for a $30 bottle of Flea spray for the home. The $30 Bottle of Flea spray wasn't even the issue. It was A new rule that all store bathrooms are to be used by the employee staff ONLY! Customers do not have access to the bathrooms So even if you have an abdominal infection like I do (Ulcerative colitis) or a child who has to go, Then you better bring a diaper. Otherwise avoid this establishment, and stick with Amazon. It's more convenient and customer friendly. read more

The staff is so friendly and nice, you can definitely tell they're in the business because they truly love animals. My dog Luke was one of the winners of the Halloween Costume contest! We love to dress our dog up for all the holidays and take a family picture. This past week my dog got fleas. The gentleman David helped me find the right products and even went out of his way to find me a coupon! That was definitely going beyond what he had to do. I was excited when this Petsmart location opened because I would normally have to drive to one about 20 minutes away & this one would only take me about 5 minutes.... but after two quick stops there i'd much rather take the longer drive. Employees are rude and don't have any knowledge about anything in the store. I asked an employee a question regarding where they kept something in the aisle, and I got a "uh... I don't know" as a response. The one in Airport Plaza in Farmingdale is the best location. read more

Staff was helpful when I've been here in the past, however, after my experience today I will not be coming back. I stopped by to pick up some treats for my pup to train him. A staff member (didn't get his name) asked if I needed help. I asked where the treats where and he asked about the dog I was giving treats to. The dog is almost three months old and this employee insisted that he should still be with his mother and be on milk only - no solids or soft food. I know this isn't true since most dogs are separated from their mothers when they are around two months old and the pup is eating solid food without any issues. I asked what age he thinks the dog should be given treats and he didn't give me an answer. If Petsmart's employees are going to be giving out tips and advice to their customers, it should at least be correct - especially if it's something as simple as food. read more

Went there today & was denied a return b/c I had no receipt on 2 brand new, non perishable items they for sure sell that no other pet store sells b/c the item even says "only at petsmart", see picture (the 1 pictured is not what I tried to return as its used, just using it to show the wording of the package, the ones I had in pink & green were brand new). The cashier called the manager who told me she couldn't do the return b/c the amount was "too high" ($32 with tax), couldn't even get a gift card for a future purchase despite me telling her I have 3 dogs. Well guess what? Went to another petsmart & was given NO PROBLEM whatsoever to get a gift card to shop later. I will never ever come back to this store. read more

Most of the staff works with animals outside of their work here so I feel confident in asking for advice, some are even licensed trainers. Im comfortable with the girls in the grooming salon as well, they are very knowledgable and open to my craziness about my dog lol... very patient with both my boy and me! Groomers are decent...once they answer their phones. 15 minutes on hold for them to ask for my phone number to call me back. 20 minutes later they called back. I Missed the called by seconds and called back to be put on hold for another 5 minutes before they got on the phone and asked what I was waiting for. I told them the groomer and they were about to put me on hold AGAIN when I said "forget it, I'm calling Farmingdale." You're better off going to Farmingdale. It's a little further from my house, but well worth the service. They answer the phones promptly, made an appointment in less than a minute. Probably one of the cleanest PetSmarts I have shopped at and great sales. This review is mainly for the grooming section. I took my yorkie mix for his first puppy haircut. He is a fun loving, hyper little guy so I was worried about having scissors near his eyes. I don't trust anyone with him and neither does my husband. A family member recommended we try Eva, since she groomed her Havanese puppy. Right off the bat, I could say Eva is patient and LOVES what she does. She explained everything to me and the importance of making sure my puppy doesn't have a traumatic first grooming experience. I left my puppy there and when I picked him up Eva communicated every step with me. She said he did great with his bath, sniffed the tools before she used them, gave her many kisses, and so much more. This is exactly what I wanted, I want to know details of what is happening when I'm not with my puppy. I highly recommend Eva as a groomer. She treated my puppy like the little King he Is and I appreciate it! My puppy is adorable with or without a haircut but knowing his groomer loves her profession and is patient definitely puts me at ease. I am looking forward to visiting again because the Starbucks has a drive through and I can get a massage while my puppy gets pampered by Eva. Both my dogs, German Shepard and Morkie were well groomed and I was very happy with every aspect of the service from the time I called to the time I picked them up. Store has a lot of good and variety of stuff but the reason give a 2 star is because when I brought my puppy in for a dog collar two of the employees started saying how my puppy was acting more tired then usual ( obviously since we just picked him up I know he wasn't going to be the most energetic which I told them)then one of the employees started saying how she goes to vet school and started listing possible diseases and infections my puppy could have because he was sleepy . My sister in law was in there and she's young and started panicking and getting super worried. Well we brought him to the vet and everything is totally fine with our puppy ghost and is very happy and super energetic. My advice to those employees is to stop giving false information and stop making people worry if you're not a certified vet yet or stop listing possible diseases just by looking at a puppy and not running any tests. read more

Will continue shopping for dog food and accessories however I will no longer be getting my dog groomed here. This was my dogs third time getting groomed here. They never give her anything fun in her hair (bow, bandanna), they sound confused every time I call and try to book an appointment (I just want my dog to have her nails clipped, a trim, and then bathed and I guess those three things don't fit in any of their packages-weird), and the last time I was there they said we should have told them our dog was a pug... this is her third time there! For every appointment I have explained On the phone she is part pug part jack Russell. Their employees then aren't making correct notes. I also brought in her paper work that states her breed, so maybe they should look in the computer. And this is her third time here! Why is it now a problem my dog is a pug. The lady said pugs have smushed in noses making it hard to breathe. Ok, duh, but my dog has a long snout like a jack Russell and not at all like a pug which you can tell by just looking at her. Just sounded dumb. I'll be trying a new place that doesn't make this experience weird and awkward. I just want my dog to smell good and look cute when I get her back. Didn't know that was a strange thing to expect when going to a dog groomer. read more
