Beyond disappointed at Woodbury location. We Have been bringing our full size golden doodle service dog for 3 years now and the last 3 grooming they have hurt him and said nothing. First it was they cut 2 nails on 2 different paws to short and he was bleeding all over our floors and his bed. Then again 2 nails cut short only this time one of the nails split down the middle and caused pain and limping for over a week. The groomer actually blamed my wife for his nails being to long which is the farthest from the truth, this dog comes to work with me every day and walks on cement and hard flooring all day his nails are not long. He also gets grooms 4 times a year at $200 a groom with a generous tip. The last groom we said no nail cutting. A few days after we noticed a spot on his back and found they had sheered a small cyst he had on his back since he was a puppy and said nothing. We don't shave him close either we request a #3 setting so it's not to short. He must have yelped loud in pain. The cut then got infected and $600 later and 2 weeks of antibiotics he is finally healing. They also found under a microscope bacteria, according to the vet it's from the sheers being dirty This dog is the sweetest dog I ever had and since he is my service dog I am very in tune with him, he definitely suffered and deserves more. We will no longer be using them. read more

Bones bath and beyond is an amazing place to get your dog groomed. As the owner of an Australian shepherd I find myself nervous taking my dog places as their whole coat can change if you don't care for it properly. I trust the groomers at bones bath and beyond woodbury to bring her back to me clean and soft as ever. It does cost a pretty penny, but they do for me what I cannot do myself (she does not like baths ahaha) and that is worth every dollar I spend there. Absolutely horrified. My little mini golden doodle Rusty was injured or abused here! Stay away!!! After a grooming (cash only) Rusty got home and wouldn't walk up the stairs. He seemed nervous and sad. After him limping around all night we took him to the Vet. The Vet said he had a swollen leg. WTF!!! My wife went to the Groomer asking for a refund and for her to pay the Vet bill. The owner refused a refund and said you can't prove it happen here. True! But 99% chance it did. My wife left very upset. Now it gets interesting. She heard and saw the owner screaming like a maniac at the groomer. Hmmm. She's knows she employees a butcher hurting dogs? Be careful if you choose to leave your dog here. Who really grooms your dog? My dog was cut bad enough that it required 2 trips to the vet and antibiotic medication. The owners way of accepting responsibility was to not allow my dog to be groomed there anymore which is crazy because I would never go back! By the way, my dog is the most friendly and easy going. They loved my dog, they just have no business sense when they do wrong! read more

We had a very good experience with our two medium sized dogs for a bath, ears cleaned & nails cut. I called and asked what is the shortest amount of time that we can leave them there since they are senior dogs and anxious. They took us at 3 pm and they were done by 4 pm! Let me start off by saying that I have been going to this location since my dog (Maltese) was a puppy. Almost 4 years now. Some of the girls that used to cut her hair left the location. But I continued to take her there because I never had issues and they always did a good job. The last time I went about 5 months ago. They did a horrible job on her hair. I asked them not to touch the top of her head because she gets bows and this time around they did not listen and cut "the visor" on a female dog ! When I called to complain they basically called me a liar and said they "were not responsible for what happens to the dog when she gets home". After a long discussion with "Juan" who claims not to be a manager there. They agreed to a discount on her next cut. I Pay 100 dollars plus a 15/20 dollar tip every time and Always agree to an extra 20 dollar fee for any knots or matted hair. Never had an issue with the price. Never complained about the price. This one time that I was truly unhappy they gave me a hard time and after much deliberation they finally agreed to a discount. I decided not to leave a bad review back then , well because I actually loved taking my dog there and considered taking her back since they knew her from when she was a puppy. Past forward to 8/25/22. I made an appointment at the woodbury location because merrick had no availability until September 6. I asked very nicely, if they could apply the discount here since they are the same owners and the receptionist put me on the phone with her "boss". Juan gets on the phone and tells me he does not remember me or my dog. That he is not the manager there and that he cannot apply the discount and that I would in fact have to take my dog back to merrick to the same lady who messed up my dogs hair the first time. Why in the world would I go back to the same lady! When I asked for the managers name. I was told I couldn't have it because it was personal information. They have my sisters. My dogs. My fiancés name and phone numbers on file and I trust them with my dog. But I could not get the managers name to speak to him the next time I called back!! After being so rude, Juan finally said he would call merrick to confirm if I in fact had a pending discount , because again apparently I lie. Meanwhile the receptionist for a second time confirmed he was the boss but Juan kept insisting he was not the boss. They finally agreed to accept the discount they offered me months ago. Needless to say I will never return to this place again. I gave them a second chance and once again Juan was so rude! The costumer service is disgusting and as a paying customer who religiously pays for the most expensive package for my dog. I expected better treatment and not to, once again basically be called a liar. Save yourself the headache. They will be nice when you give them your money but the second you have an issue they will treat you horrible! read more

Terrible. Had an appointment at noon for my puppy. I asked them not to cut her tail and told them three times - no perfume. I saw them write the instructions down. Was told she'd be finished in about 3 hours. I called at 3:45 asking if she was ready. They said she'll be on the table in about 20 minutes. They had been busy and had some big dogs. At 4:45 I called to say I was coming to pick her up. 5 minutes later they called to tell me she was ready and I said I just spoke to you. She said I don't remember if I called you. When I picked her up her tail had been cut and she stunk of perfume. I asked why her appointment had taken so long and was told it was because it's the holidays ( Thanksgiving) and the got busy. I asked if they took other dogs with no appointments before mine and she sheepishly said yes. This was our second time there. The customer service has gone downhill. Won't be back. read more
