I shop at PetSmart pretty regularly and the store is always clean, organized, and easy to find what I need. The staff has generally been helpful as well. My only complaint is that they rarely have enough checkout lanes open, which can make the line longer than it should be. If they improved that, the experience would be even better. read more

The Grooming Parlor, man-o-man do they do an excellent job of grooming your fur baby to look like a, well a movie star. We groom our rescues all the time but our schedules were such couldn't get 2 done so we took them in to get groomed. When we picked them up I must say I was really impressed with the work they did. I had a very bad experience at Petsmart. I bought several fish and paid at the checkout without checking the receipt. In the morning, my husband asked why $180 had been charged. When I looked at the receipt, I saw that they had charged me two bags of food I didn't buy. My husband and I went to the store, but they said they had no proof that we didn't buy the food. We called the bank, but they also refused to help. In the end, we spent a day trying to get our money back, and it turned out they had cameras, so they checked and saw that I didn't take the food. We were so stressed out, and it wasn't until 9 pm that we got our money back. I didn't like the way they treated customers, I didn't like how much stress I had caused... and please check your receipts at the checkout, be very careful. read more

So many dead snails in the fish tanks you can SMELL it. PetSmart and Petco cycle water through all the tanks, so all that gross diseased water is in all the tanks. I know it's more expensive to buy fish at an actual fish store, but when you buy here, you are buying diseased and dying fish and animals. There's no excuse for level of negligence. How these stores keep passing Animal welfare checks is beyond me. read more

The grooming salon here is horrible. I only came here because they were the only location that had an opening soon. Both of my girls got groomed here today and they did an awful job. For paying $150 for both its not that hard to do it right. They both still have mats in their ears and tails and the teddy bear face on both are so off and uneven. Since I could not leave a message after business hours, I decided to take it to a yelp review. This Pet Smart put "bows" on my two dogs. My bigger dog, had no bow, but a string around his neck that looked very similar to a bra strap. From the look of it that's exactly what it was; It was extremely tight on both my dogs, restricting me from merely putting my hand under their collar. This is inhumane and not right. You are a pet providing facility and this is not what I would have expected. All in all, if you decide to take your dogs to Pet Smart on Parker Road please ensure they're safety and check their accessories immediately after leaving. Had to get cat food and he didn't want to shop at a busy grocery store so we stopped here on our way home. Because the store is larger in footprint, it makes it seem less crowded. They had what we needed and we stood in the checkout line. It was busy. They had two cash registers open and as the line grew, another sales associate opened a third cash register lane. GROOMING. I literally waited a month just to give them the benefit of the doubt before posting a review. I brought in 2 dogs. One was done great..no issues. The other one looked okay at first sight. Took him home and noticed the attached photos the next day - he has huge ears so I didn't see the extreme razor burn on sides of his face, and it bled the next day. I noticed him scratching at it. I had to apply antibiotic cream as it started to get infected. I called the store, left a message for the grooming manager (Karen or Kim or something similar) to call me, so I could know what to do. I emailed the manager of the store. I did not get any phone call or email back. I emailed a second time, nothing. I think I am more disappointed in the fact that I had a dog who was injured, and they didn't even care enough to return a phone call. I saw a note from someone else that said you have to bring the dog back, we were 80 miles away camping for a week. So that ship sailed. I am disgusted about the lack of caring for even a phone call. I have geckos, birds, fish and dogs. I shop here a lot. This really has me thinking I'm shopping elsewhere. Sad. read more

The groomer name Katy had my puppy and she was going to shave her but ended up cutting her leg. The cause of her cut ended up needed her to have stitches which means surgery. The cut itself was an inch and half long. The hair cut of my puppy was only half of her body was shaved and the other side wasn't. My puppy is now in pain but she taken care of by the vet. I really hope no dog has to experience this because it was dramatic experience. read more

Walked in to get two dogs groomed. I was informed that my 5month old puppy was too hyper to do his nails. Now that's fine however the attitude of the groomer was horrible. Told me maybe I should throw a ball before coming next time to tire him out. I explained I did take them to the dog park. Absolutely horrible. Took my dog in to get a cut, bath, and teeth cleaning, get a call maybe 30 minutes after dropping him off that they gave him a cut but couldn't give him a bath because of a rash, and had to go pick him back up, when I got there there was no rash at all, and they didn't clean his teeth, don't know what teeth have to do with a supposed rash on the butt. But absolutely horrible location, not the first time I've had issues here, they've previously told me they couldn't do something so I left there and went to another location and they gave me no issues and got it done for us. How do you stay open with policies like these? Stopped by the local PetSmart tonight to pick up my dog's prescription food. I usually get it from my vet but I had to work late and we have a snow storm coming, so I needed to get it quickly. I pick up my purchase and head for the counter, prescription in hand. The girl at the counter advises me that the prescription is not enough and I need some sort of medical card from Banfield, which is weird, because they are not my vet. I approach the Banfield counter and the woman sitting at the desk looks me in the face and deadpans "we're closed." No, you are not in fact closed. You are sitting at the desk. It's only 6 p.m. and the store is open until 9. What the heck? In the end, a different vet tech took the initiative of helping me, so I did end up getting the food. However, I walked away shaking my head, and a transaction that should have taken 5 minutes took 20. I buy a $60 bag of dog food every 2-3 weeks but I will NOT be buying it from you. read more

Went in to buy a fish here today, once the lady who was helping us got the fish in the bag, she spun the bag in order to close it and put a rubber band on it. In doing so she killed the fish. She didn't close the bag like normal, which should be fairly gentle, but rather she took out all of her aggression on the poor little guy. She was like Darla from finding Nemo. Sometimes she'd come home with hair still falling off and her booty didn't look good. But yesterday I picked her up and she was GORGEOUS!! I don't think I have ever seen my baby look so beautiful!! I had an appointment with Whitney for my dog to get a full service groom on 3/31/21 at 12:30(first time at this location). Due to one family in the office at a time he didn't get in until 12:40. We communicated our wants as far as his cut goes, she said, "it would take 3-4 hours before he is done" (when booking online it says the same thing). I received a call at 1:26, asking if my dog is a first timer being groomed? I said, " No, he is a regular getting groomed. I've had him since 8 weeks old, and he has been groomed from that day forward consistently outside of me doing a bath for him. He's almost 4." She then saying, my dog is being aggressive. I told her, " my dog had never had a complaint about behavior or aggression". Whitney them says, "maybe it's the kennel, I'll try again if not i may have to try and another day." I say okay, we hang up. I get another call at 2:18. Saying my dog is ready to be picked up, an If I can come and get him. Before I make it home I noticed my dog had been acting weird so I pick him up and his eye is red and swollen. So I called Petsmart and the store leader S.B( first and last name initials) answers and tells me to bring him in, I get there under 15 minutes. S.B shows no remorse! The Banfield Pet Hospital Doctor tells me to take him to the vet. So I did immediately. The Doctors there seen him and saying it looks like head trauma. Hours later I finally get my dog back with a cone and prescribed meds. The nurse complimented him saying, "how sweet he was the whole time and how surprised she is because most dogs with their testicles(my dog has his) are aggressive but he was the complete opposite". Bummer that zero stars is not an option. Made an appointment to get my dogs nails clipped. So far, no problem. Make the drive to the Parker Petsmart and they ask for the actual rabies paperwork. Seems the tag on the collar isn't sufficient. Brought up that they should have mentioned that when I made the appointment and the lady just shrugged and said I should have known. WTF? Should have known? Since when? If it was that important then they should have mentioned it when I made the appointment. Will not go back. read more

6 week Intermediate boot camp: our 8 year old American Bulldog loved Mindy the trainer. The Intermediate class taught him commands such as Leave it, Wait, and Park it Etc. Mindy gives you a worksheet and you have to reinforce the commands every week so the result really depends on your effort. I recommend the class overall because it gives you the knowledge for continuous training even after the course. $109 for 6 classes is worth it, PetSmart also do individual sessions for a higher rate. For extreme behavior issues, go in and talk with Mindy and she can at least give you recommendations for other dog trainers around the area. read more

Something is definitely different since the pandemic. There were some really friendly people in the past, there are a lot of new faces. The vibe is a bit different. I've done this same exact job but in NYC which is beyond stressful so I'm not sure know why some of the employees seem more guarded and somehow less friendly. I'm sure there are things going on behind the scenes but they shouldn't take it out on the customers who are spending good money there. They don't greet everyone the same way, either. There is this one woman Angela who is amazing, she's very friendly, down to earth and super professional but she is hardly ever there. The dog trainer, she has blonde hair, is also a very nice woman. I'm not going there to hang out but I would at least like to feel welcome. Hope it improves. read more

Also because When we scheduled the appointment they told us bath, nails, and cuts are 45 each dog. Which was cheaper than our place. When we went to pay they charged 3times that amount. They didn't tell us the correct pricing, that everything is actually a separate cost. They call it an upgrade! When we were originally told that it should be included. When trying to talk to the manager about it. He treated us like crap. And said it's their policies. He didn't care that their employees lie about their pricing. In addition to it all. It was so sad to come here and shop for a fish. We were specifically looking for a beta fish and while doing so, saw many that were injured, sick, and dead. Most all got the containers contained green water and muck, so I was not surprised to see how the fish looked. It was truly heart breaking to see the treatment of these animals. This needs to be addressed and fixed. Animals do not deserve to spend their lives living this way. read more

First of all, the general help we got was great. Jeff, one of the sales persons in the store, was very knowledgeable and helpful about products. He deferred our specific training questions to the trainer, Mindy. Although Mindy was knowledgeable, it felt as though she was really pushing us to get our dog into training classes instead of offering constructive suggestions and options. I don't want to offend anyone, but her hygiene was HORRIBLE. We had to step away from her to continue the conversation because her body odor was so awful. That alone will prevent me from registering my dog for training classes at this location. I'll seek another store for training. read more
