The events in this post took place between 12/16/25 and 12/20/25. I will preface that my dogs groomer, M, is amazing. But the owner and manager Tessa, from the first and only encounter I've ever had with her, is simply not. For context my retired mother is kind enough to drop off / pick up my dog due to my work schedule. Prior to this incident I had never set foot in this establishment or talked to any employee other than text to schedule said appointments. Neither me or my mother have ever had any prior issues with M or the Salon. The situation centered on if my dogs nails were or were not being trimmed as part of the service I was paying for, asking for a discount for the 12/20/2025 appointment for past services that I believed were not being preformed (because I was trimming my own dogs nails) and switching groomers for an appointment on 12/20/2025 as my normal groomer M was fully booked out until early Jan 2026. The whole exchange on 12/20 occurred via phone call and in person. I was told that they would not give me a discount. When I asked why I was told that it would not be fair to the new groomer and that the businesses itself would not lose money. I asked for clarification on why the business itself could not provide the discount without it affecting either groomer but got no answer. The owner Tessa became very unprofessional and started screaming at me via the phone. I, me the client, (not her as the business professional) tried multiple times to deescalate and calm her down. At no point during this whole situation did I raise my voice or yell. Nor did I insult or belittle Tessa or any of the groomers. Nor did I ever use any swear words or inappropriate language. I remained in control and made my point in a concise but firm manner. I again expressed my confusion and asked questions for clarification. Tessa proceeded to tell me that my dog was banned from their salon and that I could never use their services again and I had to come and pick up my dog and then hung up on me. When I got to the salon (my first time ever stepping inside) and I asked for Tessa but she not only refused to speak with me directly but then when she did come over she pretend to not hear me when I said hello and introduced myself. She snapped at me and refused to let me speak. And then she would not speak with me directly even rhough she was listening in to my conversation with the receptionist and M from a few feet away. M and I were thankfully able to speak directly with one another as adults in a mature, dignified, and respectable manner. We were able to listen to each others sides to clear up our misinterpretations, misunderstandings, and get to the facts of the situation. Which I am very grateful for. I also made it clear that me switching groomers was in no way M's fault but rather her being fully booked and a time crunch I was on. M was also very impacted by this whole situation which was so unfair to her. Sadly M lost a client due to no fault of her own, but rather due to her boss Tessa. Specifically; -Tessa's lack of maturity -her inability as an adult to emotionally regulate her bad temper -and lastly her blatant unprofessionalism. Tessa projected past bad experiences with truly problematic clients onto me and my dog. Jumped to conclusions without asking verifying questions. And acted in an immature and childish manner by refused not only to identify herself the first time but also refusing to have a conversation with me. Instead accusing me of arguing with her though she kept interrupting and would not let me speak. Tessa then still charged me not only for the bath that they had given my dog but also an additional $15 day care fee even though I was there to pick up my dog within 30 minutes of her hanging up on me. Tessa is an example of how broken people run broken businesses. And from other similar reviews here and elsewhere clearly has a pattern of behavioral issues. Which clearly impacts not just her business, but her employees, clients, and dogs. After taking my dog to a different groomer I have realized that they over charge for their services as I paid less at the new groomers but got more services (teeth brushing, ear cleaning, glands, ect) than here. read more

This was a very unfortunate experience. I brought my dog in for a grooming on a Saturday and I was told to come back in 2 hours which I did. The groomer that groomed my dog was a young man who was pleasant to me. I came back at 2:00 PM which was the time I was told to come back. When I walked in my dog was on a grooming table and the groomer and another woman were working on him. The woman turned around and said in a very rude and unfriendly way "will you go back outside". I complied figuring that she might have been having a bad day and I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I was a first time customer and this demostrated terrible customer service. I took my dog home and he seemed stressed out and he was licking himself in his private area. He continued to lick himself and was panting. I figured that he might just be stressed and I would wait and see if things got better. Finally by Sunday evening things worsened and he was panting, crying, and I called the vet. After 2 phone calls to the Vet they told me to bring him in. He had an abrasion on his scrotum and he was in pain. The vet treated him and he still was struggling for several days of discomfort. I called the groomer on Tuesday as they are closed on Sunday and Monday and I spoke with a manager named Brittany. She wasn't very unsympathetic and was matter of fact asking for paperwork from the Vet. I sent her the paperwork and she said that she wanted to call the vet and speak with her. She then told me when talking with her again that she can not get in touch with the vet. It was the emergency vet and this vet is not there daily but I was told by the vet clinic that Brittany the woman from the groomer left a message for the vet and the vet was going to get back to Brittany when she worked again. Brittany did not take responsibility at all for my dog being injured, and stated"your dog is just sensitive". She tried to make me feel that I did something wrong. She told me the owner Tessa woukd call me and she never did so I called her back today and she was very cavalier and told me in her opionion my dog did not need to see the vet and she feels that I could have cared for him myself at home. She said that they would NOT take responsibility for this and she hung up on me in mid sentence. I was not rude to her so there was no reason for her to hang up. This is not a good place to take your dog and it is a high volume factorylike atmosphere with poor management and to top it off, the place was dirty and some of the employes were unprofessional. If it was possible I would not even give them one star. Also the actual hair cut wasnt good, they barely cut any hair from his body and they cut off one of my dogs set of eyelashes on one eye and the other side still has long lashes. read more

I have been taking my dog Sully here for over a year. Megan has done an amazing job with him. I struggled for years to find a groomer that gave him a cut i could deal with and didn't take all day. I was so pleasantly surpassed when he was ready in s but over an hour. It was the best for he's ever had. Megan listens to what you want and follows through. Another thing I love is that appointments are scheduled correctly. There's no doing of your dog at 8AM and then sitting in a kennel fir hours waiting to be groomed. This is the only groomer i have ever taken Sully to that he doesn't panic going into. He loves Megan and goes back willingly. I will continue to use Doggy Styles for the rest of time I have a dog, whether I live in Parker or not. 10/10 would recommend! read more

First trip was fine- great even! My shih-poo was happy and we scheduled another appt. Second time was a huge red flag and I should've stopped then, she came back with the big cut on the corner of her right eye. Blood red and puffy. She also had another cut on her leg. I was not too happy but understood accidents happen and my dog does not like people touching her hair (which this is something they were made aware off and were OK with). My sister then scheduled another appt for Nov (she was the one that picked her up) and took her. I get a call at work saying that my dog is "too sick" and they cannot work with her(?) what? My dog was NOT sick before going to her appt, but they said she was vomiting everywhere. And that her eyes are BLOODSHOT red and we have to take her to the vet asap. And so my sister did. We did not see my dog vomit ONCE before or even after. We take her to the vet get some eye drops and the thing is situated. We were going to a small groomer in Castle Rock that could no longer get us in when we needed them to. So we searched everywhere and came upon this place based on the ratings. So far so good! They do a great job grooming our pups, and they have availability. I also like the fact that they have little kennels for the dogs to wait in. Our dogs are so little and I just don't trust other bigger dogs when I'm not around. This gives me peace of mind. The prices are also very reasonable! read more

Came here once before and left a great review but today is a different story. Walked in to drop my dog off and was 2 minutes late due to the weather (my car doors were frozen) she told me she would charge me $15 for late fee which ok fine she asks me same cut? I said yes just to be careful around her paws bc there was a cut last time that made me take my dog to the emergency er. Her whole mood changed and the attitude kicked in she still took my dog and then proceeded to bring my dog out back to me and said they won't be taking her due to me letting THEM know she had a cut from them last time. The first time I went my puppy was groomed, easy process, affordable prices. The second time I took in my other puppy and same experience. He for a more detailed grooming and even for a little neck tie. The third time I brought both puppies, and I emphasize puppies because they were not potty trained and I was charged accordingly. I've had dogs that need grooming for over a decade and I've never been charged for my dog having an accident. I never thought I'd be charged for two puppies in a new location, around other dogs, excited/ scared, would I be charged because they peed. We have since found another groomer. You can tell when I picked them up they were irritated the dogs had accidents, neither had any special touches as they each had before and it was an unpleasant experience. They did fine on their own, and were treated well. When they went together however it was a very different story. Also no charges for accidents the first and second visit. read more

Went there last Saturday. We provided pictures, explanations, and even indicated do exactly like last time. And what we got from Ashley was $hit. The store manager called and couldn't help much and tried to say it was a miscommunication which it WASN'T but said the owner would call back to fix. Have I heard from owner?? NOPE. Brought my two pooches in and extremely happy with the results. They're both double coated large breeds that are in the season of blowing their coats. They did a great job of deshedding them, smell so much better, and I'm happy to hear that my dogs did well and we're comfortable being there as in the past I've had some people be intimidated working with them, they can be a little difficult to handle and my dogs have a sense when someone else is uncomfortable with them. Asked for a trim and to not change his current look--- (even showed pictures of exactly what we wanted-- which was really nothing more than a TRIM) but they did NOT follow directions at all. Followed my groomer to this location almost a year ago. She's always done a great job so driving from Highlands Ranch was worth it. Unfortunately the owner of this poor establishment told me today that they would no longer allow my dogs back after I refused to pay their ridiculous "daycare" fee they tried to tack onto my bill. They claim I didn't come and pick them up right after she was finished grooming my dogs. "We don't run a daycare service". I had exchanged texts with my groomer asking her to let me know when they were done. After not receiving any communication over an hour later, I reached back out for a status. I headed right over once she confirmed and apologized for the miscommunication. Amazing how a business thinks they can expect to stay on business with such a lack of Customer Service. Took my dog here a few days ago and they were able to fit me in even with all that's going on with the virus. The staff were professional and they picked up my dog from outside. I wanted the whole shebang and my dog came back definitely much better than before. The butt hair gets really unruly and, thankfully, that was fixed. The complaint I have is that there were some missed pieces of hair on some parts that weren't cut so I went and cut them myself. Some parts of my dog's hair still had some matted parts. I am unsure if they use unscented shampoo, but I am guessing they do because I couldn't smell anything on my dog. I'm giving four stars because the lady at the front was very nice and prompt. I was emailed very quickly about making an appointment as well. This place and the staff are not bad. I just think the price is a little steep especially if I have to cut some pieces myself. read more

I have been taking my sheepadoodle to a groomer every 6 weeks for the past 4 years. I have tried SO many groomers and either the groom wasn't right, or impossible to get on the schedule. I found Doggy Styles via yelp and decided to give them a try. They were able to get my dog in quickly and when I dropped her off they were so attentive and understanding of my overly detailed grooming requests! When I picked her up, she looked PERFECT! I have been searching for someone who can do the "doodle" not poodle cut, and that is exactly what I got. I just picked up my dog from her second groom here and she looks just as good as the first time. I love that they groom one dog at a time and call you when they are done so they are not sitting in a kennel waiting all day for their turn to be groomed. I love this groomer! I started taking my 3 pups there when I lived across the street as it was convenient. I've moved to castle rock and still take them here because they are so great!
