Last week I took my 2 year old dog to get groomed by Jeanette and as a result of her terrible customer service, I wont be taking him back. She's not welcoming and throughout my conversation with her while dropping him off she just seemed irritated and rude. This Pet smart is HORRIBLE!!!! Not only did they not finish our dogs haircut they tried to charge my daughter more money... They also said because he was trying to bite them which he doesn't do with other groomers that he is BANNED from ALL Pet smarts... How ridiculous is that... I have NEVER heard of that.. This place is a headache. Understaffed, rude manager by the name of John and employees who need training. Seems like one person is running everything and picking up the slack, Ray, I believe his name was. Took my pups to get groomed confirmed twice with staff on the phone and person of what I wanted for each pup... Was over charge for an item I did not request. One of my puppies came back with two of her nails scabbed with dry blood, my dogs did not smell clean they still had that dog smell, and the bandannas were just tied on them as of there was no patience or time taken into consideration. I spoke to the manager John about being overpriced I was just transferred back and forth from one department (super frustrating) to the other and all John could say was "didn't you figure it out with them" in a very rude tone of voice. I did eventually come in person and Ray helped me without hesitation. I would not recommend going back here only reason why I went was because I had a coupon. I would recommend Doggy Land Grooming in Downey my puppy came out adorable and smelling great!! read more

I will never bring my dog back here!!!! The groomer said my 10lb dog gave her a hard time. This was his first grooming experience, she failed to tell us she cut him under his right eye. I would not recommend bringing your pet here. read more

I went in to SPCA after seeing an adorable chihuahua online ( love at first sight) , and since I've realized I want to help find animals a caring/dedicated family. When I went to SPCA, I was happy to see that they take very good care of their pets, and was notified by Patrick that they take them outside all the time. I was helped by Patrick and another kind young lady. Patrick was more than helpful, and patient , in my emotional adoption of Grace ( my chihuahua). I like how they really want the best for the dogs, and do research to make sure the dog is going to a nice safe home, with loving owners. Once you meet their requirements, the process goes actually very quickly, unless you need to bring in other dogs to meet the one your interested in. I would completely recommend adopting from here. Just the fact that you are interested in adopting, is reassuring. Hope you find a great addition to your family with the help of SPCA! read more

I like Petsmart and I was satisfied with the employees, but when I called to ask about Training my dog they did not answer and I was on hold for a long time. I had to hang up and call them back and they did the same thing all over again. I don't like their phone service, but they are great in store and with their Grooming services. read more

I've been bringing my dog here for the grooming services for about a year, all the stylist are really nice and make me feel comfortable leaving my dog in their hands... today especially, I went to pick up my dog and he slipped out of the leash, the stylist working on my dog Morgan took off running after him without any hesitation!!! I couldn't thank her enough she went above and beyond to make sure my dog didnt get hit by a car... my kiddos would have been devastated but because of Morgan's quick reaction she was able to get him out of harms way!! read more

I didn't think I was in the market for another doggie - I did dog/cat rescue in Florida for over 10 years - and had personal matters to attend to in LA. But I happened to see Noel at the shelter in Pico Rivera, and I couldn't get her out of my mind. She was this tiny white butterball, with the biggest dark and longing eyes, and a pink sweater. It was just after the holidays, and I was really depressed about the election. I felt like I needed a bunch of TLC, and my 17 year old MiniPin, adorable as he is, is not a kisser. I needed a kisser. And that's just what I got!! Noel has become the hit of the toddlers at the day care down the street, she is soooo dangerous, trying to lick them to death! LOL I'm going to look into having her certified as a therapy dog, she would love it, she's perfect for that! And I can't even imagine a more perfect match for me. The staff at spcaLA, especially Phillip, were the best! They were professional, provided everything needed for me to walk out with Noel, even a donated harness and collar, since I totally forgot mine - it was pouring down rain that day - but I made the hour long ride because I had to have Noel as a part of my family. It was really comforting to know that my emotions could not have ended in my making a disastrous decision by getting the wrong doggie for my situation - which I personally have experienced so many times in rescue. But, you know how it is when you fall in love! So grateful to be able to trust these guys to do right by their fur baby charges - since they have no voice of their own. For the first time ever I was left VERY dissatisfied. The groomer (Melanie) left my yorkie's nails too long after supposedly filing them down, which cost extra. She shaved parts of my dog that did not need to be shaved leaving her a bald spot on the top of her head. She shaved off part of the fur in front of her right eye but not her left eye so it looks uneven and the hairs on her left eye keep poking her eye. She didn't take off the little knot that was on my dogs face making it look clumpy on one side and had some weird gunk on her face hairs. She also did not do the sanitary shave on her leaving a little knot on her butt hairs. It seemed as is she was rushed and was not even there when we went to pick her up. Janette on the other hand has never dissapointed and has always given the proper quality of care. read more

I recently bought a guinea pig with everything included from this specific store and spent over 300 dollars for him. The guinea pig came with an ear infection and I didn't think it was a big deal but it was I thought his ear naturally looked like that's. So if it's crusty and dry compared to his nice pinkish ear take him to the vet. Than one day passed and the day before he was fine and than the next day in his igloo the whole day won't eat drink or play and was whimpering I felt bad in my area most vets are closed Sunday so I decided to go next morning so I woke up and looked at him to know he was passed away. Now I probably didn't know how bad it was but I can tell he was in a lot of pain from the tears from his eyes. Remember guinea pigs get really sick and ill so send them to the vet immediately. It's gonna cost ten times as much as a guinea pig for the vet so come prepared do your research. I'm also disappointed I thought PetSmart did not carry any disease in there pets but they do. Too keep him from getting ill and less buy lots of bedding for them so they can be changed on the daily.Please take him to the vet even if there acting weird they can get ill in the mater of minutes so take car of them.Do research give them lots of love as possible if there ain't more than 1 guinea pig. I was just at this location waiting in line to checkout and I could see the grooming area from where I was standing. I stopped taking my dogs to Petsmart for grooming because they never did a decent job and for the price I found something better. Well today what I saw going on in the grooming department just confirmed why I don't take my dogs there anymore. There was a poodle getting groomed and the lady who was grooming the dog seemed to be handling the dog very rough. She was working on the dogs paws and was squeezing it super hard and would shake it whenever it would move. Now that wasn't my dog but it did not matter, no dog should be mistreated while getting groomed that is just unacceptable! Dog owners are trusting these people to groom their dogs and treat them correctly while they have them. I would definitely consider going elsewhere for grooming. And Petsmart needs to get higher standards for the people they hire as groomers. read more
