Went to this PetSmart a few months ago, and found a female betta that was missing an eye. Thankfully it looks more like a birth defect and not an injury. After showing a staff member I'm pretty sure she had no idea about this specific fish and its deformity. And after we proceeded to the checkout counter she told us we could instead adopt it (take it for free) despite the fish being displayed at full price previously. Firstly I want to thank the worker because her offer showed that she cared for the needs of disabled animals. But secondly I wish the workers had more care for their animals, like atleast knowing they exist instead of just marking them at whatever price they're told, sitting them on the shelf and never giving a second glance. I had an extremely disappointing experience at this PetSmart location. I came in to purchase specific urinary-health wet food for my cat and had found an online deal that I hoped the store could honor. The manager on duty at that time was very helpful and had no issue applying the discount; she simply adjusted the price by removing a dollar amount. I bought a few different flavors since I wasn't sure which my cat would prefer. Once I realized he didn't like one of them, I returned the very next day to exchange just that flavor for another, the exact same product line, just a different variety. Unfortunately, the helpful manager from the day before was not working. I explained the situation and showed my receipt, but the associate told me I would have to pay full price for the replacement, which made no sense. They then called a manager, who repeated the same thing, that they couldn't honor a discount another manager had already applied, even with clear proof on my receipt. They insisted I show the online deal again, which should not have been necessary, since it had already been verified and honored the day before. They refused to work with me and ultimately chose to inconvenience me over a simple flavor exchange. This is my closest location, but after this experience I will be avoiding it. I went to the Sawmill location immediately afterward, and they resolved everything without hesitation. They were shocked that the Plain City location would not assist me. read more

I was looking at booking a grooming appt on their app. It showed many available. When I went back 30 mins later it showed 0. Mind you I was checking numerous times and it still showed all appts. I called the store and they claimed they were booked up. They lost a customer forever. Will never set foot in there again. Sorry I do not believe these all were filled up in a matter of 30 mins. read more

I took my Bella boo here on their grand opening day last Saturday and she had so much fun browsing the store. We missed the chance to get free grooming which is located at the front of the store but we were just there to see what the new store looked like inside. It's very clean compared to some of the other PetSmart locations and the staff are very helpful. Everything in the store was well organized from dog to cat stuff. Bella enjoyed all the love the staff and customers there were giving her. So we will be back for more puppy love soon! read more

Another PetSmart on my way to work. This one is huge, and of course shny new, clean, well-organized. Staff were very welcoming, not surprising since they just opened. Easy to find what I need, and plenty of choices. There's a dog grooming area up front, and cats for adoption in the back. Plenty of parking, decent prices, assorted food, beds, whatever you might need. I'm sure this will be a fairly regular stop for me. Grooming review for Emma! I booked two of my blowing coat Siberians for subsequent appointments. When I got there the staff was very friendly and came to say hello to the dogs. They made check in easy and we're very friendly. The dogs look and smell great! My senior lady Piper who has an awful spay coat even looks great and all of her undercoat is out (which is a feat, trust me). Very happy with the service and my clean dogs! read more

Grooming... After planning my routine grooming visit I was contacted yesterday by your store asking if I could bring my dogs in 1 hour early on Friday 4/7/2023. I had 3 dogs and 2 homes and was planning on staying at my other home in Zanesville; however, the petsmart employee asked if I could drop the dogs off at 8:30 am so they could be done early for the holiday. I asked if they needed anything else they said no. I changed my plans and stayed in my Hilliard home so I could be there at 8:30. When I got there the door was locked. I did find a buzzer and someone let me in. The young girl asked about vaccines on one of the dogs and I assured her that I had brought them the last time. She said if I didn't produce them then they would refuse one of the 3 dogs. I called my wife who was driving to work and she contacted the vet and sent me the docs that I brought with me last time. Another Person named Kenny came in and started causing issues. I asked where I needed to send the documents so they would have them the next time, that I have had to do this the last 3 times and didn't want to do it every time. I pointed at the counter and said these are the same docs I put right here on the damn counter last time. He had repeatedly raised his voice and told me it just a mistake, purposely agitating me as he obviously didn't want to help me. I'm guessing because it was a holiday weekend and they wanted to get out of grooming the dogs. He then said sir your are obviously agitated so we are going to refuse the dogs. He offered no warnings, no options, nothing just get out. I never raised my voice, but he did, I made no threats, I simply wanted to know how I could keep from dealing with this every time. So I changed my plans to accommodate your store, had to endanger my wife to get the information we had already sent prior, and after all this they did not groom my 3 dogs who had all been there before. read more

So I thought I would try petsmart for grooming because my groomer was booked out a few weeks and I needed to get her groomed ASAP before leaving town. I prefer booking things online so I went ahead and used their online booking. Found my time slot and Boom! All set right? No. I show up at my scheduled time with my dog and I was told my appointment was "pending". Pending what? I was told apparently me and someone else were both trying to book at the same time and apparently the other person's was confirmed and mine was not. There was never anything when I was booking that would have made me believe anything other than my appointment was booked. I explained my timeline they told me they couldn't help me that day OR the next day. Offered no resolution, no apology, nothing. Luckily I found another location which had an appointment the following day that worked. But very disappointed at the lack of customer service on something that was clearly a Petsmart problem. Employees are always rude. I try to ask them a question and it's like I'm asking them to do file my taxes for me. I just want to know which product is the best for my dogs and I get annoyed faces and sighs. And typically when you say thank you to someone, they say you're welcome, but they just hungup the phone instead! Great job guys. read more
