I'll be brief. I recently lost my beloved 6 year old cat at MedVet after his 4 day stay there…read more That loss was very difficult and painful enough, but the over $12,000.00 vet bill for his care and stay made his death much, much worse due to the sad simple fact that MedVet does not offer either any kind of a bereavement discount if your pet dies in their care or any kind of a discount to seniors living on a limited income. Those types of compassionate discounts are something that they very seriously need to think about offering. I think it would seriously help with their ratings (and their ratings could frankly use some help). I honestly do trust that they did everything possible to save my cats life and they all appeared very professional, very caring, compassionate and concerned. However, their billing policies shows very clearly that their final bottom line is that they are very much a "for-profit business" and you should have no illusions about that if you take your pet there for help. The first thing they ask about after getting your name and your pets name and why you are there, is your credit card information. One final thought......please carefully look over their other reviews here (I sincerely wish I had before I took my poor cat there) and then think about what you have read in these reviews a bit and then honestly ask yourself: "Why are so, so many of their reviews only one star?" Today was our first time going to Jen's. We have used another groomer in town for almost 4 years,…read moreuntil our dog Maisey started acting fearful. When it got worse at the next visit, we had to make a change. With the pandemic shutting down groomers for a while, I trimmed her at home a few times, and now seemed like a good time to try sometime new to get her looking her best again. Taylor met us at our car, and took Maisey in with her. There was minimal paperwork to fill out. She was very pleasant and professional. After much less time than I am used to, she called to tell me Maisey was done. The only real complaint I have is that picking her up was a mess. Nobody answered the phone or the doorbell (not counting a bunch of barking dogs). On my fourth try, I got someone. Still nobody came out. Finally, someone noticed the barking sofa and came to the front door. Shortly after she went back inside, Taylor brought Maisey out. She looks beautiful, and was very happy. Her nails look like the grinding was a bit rushed, but she hates having her feet touched. Taylor was worried the cut might be too long, but it was much shorter than we're used to. With the hot weather, I had requested exactly what she gave us. Maisey seemed to have enjoyed her time there, including some play time with Taylor's dog. Payment was handled over the phone, and was less than I had been paying. We're very happy with Taylor, and will be returning for all our grooming needs in the future.

We brought our Coton for a grooming and told them please leave him long, just trim and clean him…read moreup. We figured a "luxury" dog spa with a three hour appointment would do a good and gentle job. When we picked him up his backside had been shaved almost to the skin. This area is now extremely irritated and on the verge of bleeding. The dog is rubbing and licking himself incessantly. We called and explained we were very unhappy. The groomer told us that there was nothing she could or would do, that she "had to" shave him because she said he was matted. He had just been brushed the night before and was not matted, but even if so, there was no reason to shave him to the skin and cause this level of irritation. Either take the time to de-mat (the appointment was three hours long) or inform the client that you could not. We did not authorize her to shave him like this. In the dogs 10 years of life, this has never happened once. When I asked why she would not refund the money, she said that well her regular clients know that sometimes the dog will come home with "an itchy butt." From her response, I have a feeling this is not the first time she has been confronted about this. She also suggested we call the vet and that if things got worse we might have to take him to the vet. We did call the vet and even with the Benadryl and Cortisone, he is still miserable. Here is a picture of the area. Needless to say I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to deal with a total unprofessional person who will not take responsibility for a terrible job. Feel free to make up your own opinion. Update 1: Second picture is third day post-grooming, the area is now getting worse and starting to scab. Unfortunately the vet is not open tomorrow to go get antibiotics. We spoke with one of our old groomers who said likely this was due to a dull or hot clipper and that in any case the groomer should not only provide a full refund but also pay for the vet visit. As described above, the groomer is taking ZERO responsibility, not refunding a single cent. Feel free to Youtube "clipper burn" to see what happens to a dog after this happens. Its not fun and the dog is miserable, aggressive, irritable, and requires constant monitoring so as to scoot on the floor to further inflame.

I recently stopped shopping here…read more My vacation was disrupted for over an hour overlapping two days over the need to cancel / reschedule an appointment that was to occur over my vacation time... an appointment that I had canceled / rescheduled before leaving town but had not been fully addressed by Mutts & Co Grooming. I was told that even though I had grooming appointments booked for the remainder of the year that my July appointment could not be booked because I did not have a method of payment stored within their new online booking portal. Storing a form of payment on an online booking portal is not something I would ever do and did not appreciate the effort that Mutts & Co put into trying to convince me otherwise during my vacation. I was away for five days. I was interrupted during two days of my vacation over this matter. The unfortunate part of this story is that Savanah is amazing at grooming my fur babies; however, I will not place a method of payment within their online portal. I now need to make alternative arrangements for grooming which is not at all appreciated. Life is busy enough without arbitrary and unplanned side quests. Mutts & Co does offer a variety of healthy products for cats and dogs. They are good about assisting you to the car with large orders or even assisting with curbside pick up. However, all of the products that they carry can be gotten through online retailers. My only other complaint is that they continually store the shopping carts on one side of the store and shopping baskets on the other side of the store. Their shopping carts require the use of a shopping basket too as items fall through the shopping cart when used alone. Disabled persons have a hard time traveling to each side of the store to collect a shopping basket and shopping cart. I would point this out each time and would return to the same set up the next trip.
