I love the grooming salon and Claire -- she treats my dog as he is her only client. I tell her he needs a cut and he always comes out looking so handsome!!! I let her take care of him and she just loves him (i bet she says this to all her clients) but he loves her too so it is all good in my book. I go to this store frequently; and had my Sheltie groomed here for years. Shelties are double-coated and high maintenance dogs; they need their feet trimmed, and their double coat can present problems. My dog tended to get his fur matted on his belly, which was very hard to get out without professional help. His ears were cleaned, his teeth brushed, his feet done, and his hair coat was attended to by these groomers every couple of months. The staff at this store has always been helpful and cheerful, and they've always done a great job. They're also really helpful when I'm shopping for other things such as training treats and toys. They have one of the sweetest people I've ever met at the checkout, who happens to be a young man who is disabled and in a wheelchair. He always has a smile, always has fun and engaging conversation, and is an amazing customer service rep. Petsmart's employees are great sales people without being too pushy. They suggest things you might not have thought about, in a gentle positive kind of way. I bring my dog to this store while I'm shopping, and he gets to see people who love dogs; both employees at the store and happy customers. We always have great experiences when we go into this store. Well, short and sweet. I pretty much buy two things here: Goodlife Recipe cat food and Tidy Cats Pure Nature cat litter. PetSmart discontinued the cat food, without notice, and shortly thereafter I found out that a bag of the cat litter is $3 (or 25%) cheaper at Mariano's down the road. Outstanding customer service and competitive prices on most items. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, yet not at all pushy. The store is clean, bright, and well laid out, and they have a great variety of products and is always well stocked. Their dog obedience classes are absolutely wonderful and I can't say enough good things about them! Everything from teaching basic commands, socialization and even tricks to full therapy dog training. Expert and highly skilled trainers! Janet V has done an amazing job with my wife's 3 lb. Yorkie, Hairy Pawter, who will eventually become a Therapy dog. Skills training makes such a difference in a dog's personality and manners that we highly recommend it! read more

Took my dog for grooming there. Absolute mistake. The groomer called us and informed us that they cannot continue grooming our dog because he very anxious and they had to put a collar around him for safety reasons. According to the groomer, our dog was rolling over nonstop and trying to get rid of the cone. Our dog is a very calm old dog and very well behaved when he gets a bath at home. This never happenes before. I found it odd so I went to pick up our dog. When we got there, my kids and I noticed that the dog who they were still grooming was yelping a lot. Our dog was barking like crazy from the back which tells us there was absolutely something wrong here. My kids noticed the groomer squeezing the other dog's paw so hard when the dog yelped. We noticed that our dogs eyes were red and looked irritated. They also shaved his groin area and we noticed cuts around his private thing. It looks like they were very rough with our dog that's why he went nuts on them because he got really hurt. Read other reviews here and noticed other people had a similar experience and one person also noticed other dogs yelping there during grooming session. read more

Good customer service and great selection of items! The only slight complaint that I could possibly make about this place is that whenever i come here to buy crickets for my lizard, there's no one to help at the cricket desk. I have to go up to the registers (because there's no one on the floor to help) to ask for someone to be sent to help me. Then I have to wait at the cricket desk for someone to get up there. This happens 9/10 times I go there and it always takes forever! read more

Enter Petsmart. With the help of the lovely and knowledgeable staff, we are now the proud new owners of "Rainbow" the Betta Fish. I actually didn't really have a big problem with this store until a few days ago. They have everything I need for all my pets and the prices are usually fine. The staff is nice enough (disinterested usually, but nice) and the store is clean. I've never used the grooming, vet, or training services so I can't speak to those. Yesterday, however, I had an experience that is probably going to keep me away from this store from now on. To be clear, I'm a bad furmother. I feed my pets (gasp) major brands of food, specifically Iams. I stopped in to pick up a bag of my usual when a woman from Nutro approached me and started telling me how bad my food choice was and how I have to try her brand. I don't think it is appropriate for a store that sells multiple brands of food to allow the representatives from one brand to camp out in the aisle and confront shoppers about their food choices. After telling her I wasn't interested she continued to talk to the point where even if I wanted to listen and was receptive, I wouldn't have given her the satisfaction of my purchase. Not to mention, I don't think Nutro is that great of a brand so I find it funny that she was insulting my brand choices. I put the food back, walked out, and bought at another location. We've taken our chocolate lab here twice for shampoo/ nail trimming / ear cleaning and he looks great and got quite a good job done for less than $30. I can do the shampoo at home, but when he needs his nails done, he won't sit still,, so this is a good splurge for your pet every couple of months. Good service and price! read more

They do a great job of handling our dog and grinding his nails. But every single time we go in there they claim they don't have his rabies information on file and won't accept that he has his tags. Then we have to call the vet and if the vet is closed we're SOL. We will be going somewhere where they update their information so its not an issue every time. read more

It's my favorite pet store. My dad used to take me to other pet stores, I mean they were ok, but when we stumbled into this store, I'm staying here. Especially now that I can drive, I go here too much. The staff here are friendly and very helpful, I don't ever remember a mean staff. I'm very good at taking care of pets, but I got a beta fish that died the next day. The staff were friendly and they allowed a refund, I just got another beta. Don't miss understand, their pets are pretty healthy, in like 7-8 years since I've been going here, only 2-3 fish died. Other fish died of old age xP I know some people don't like how there's no dogs here, but I'm actually glad they don't. Puppies from pet stores are from puppy mills where it's animal abuse and you can look up puppy mills if you don't know what it is. If you want a dog, find a breeder. Don't support puppy mills please. read more

We have gotten our dog groomed here several times and it has always been a fantastic experience! They are nice, efficient, and good at what they do. He used to get cranky while being groomed (luckily he's a little guy) but now he adores the pampering! In addition to a wonderful grooming staff, the rest of the employees are great too. BEWARE the manager named Jon! Seems unstable. I have always had a good experience with the grooming dept. NOT THIS TIME! I was told a time my dog would be ready, when I showed up it was almost done, probably another 20 minutes. No Biggie. My daughter mentioned she wish she could see the grooming but was not with me, so I filmed some of it for her. I was approached by an employee (not a groomer) that told me I could not take pictures. This is NOT posted ANYWHERE in the store, return policy is however. I put my phone away and let the person know I was unaware of that policy as it is not posted. He said it is their policy. I asked to see it in writing. I had time to kill waiting for my dog, and quite frankly was board. He left and a few moments later the manager Jon came over and nicely said I can't take pictures. My phone was in my pocket and I said I understand but why, I don't see it posted. He said because of other dogs! (this I found quite strange) I let him know I was watching my dog and asked if the policy is in writing. He would not answer that yes or no question. He stared in about it being a private store, his groomers did not give permission, etc. Again I asked if he was going to answer my yes or no question. One more round of him tap dancing and when I asked for a direct answer to my direct question again...he lost it! Started yelling at me that he didn't have to answer, went into the grooming area and told the groomer to stop and return my dog. His aggressive behavior was unreal. His refusal to answer a direct question leads me to believe there is nothing in writing. I will be calling the corporate offices to complain and follow up. He needs to find a job away from the public. Jon is a horrible representative for PetSmart. Not the employee I would want in my business, he would be gone after snapping like that at a customer! read more

I can't review the quality of the grooming here because my cat never received the service and that alone warrants the low rating. I had an appointment which was confirmed the day before and I even spoke to someone day of. Come time for my appointment, I ended up waiting for over 20 min without a groomer in sight... finally I decided to just leave. Why have appointments if you don't honor them? Pitiful. read more

the staff are really friendly, maybe one of them wasn't my favorite, but everyone else is really friendly. I bought all my fish, many different types, from here and they all live long and healthy. I've been going here for a couple of years and I love it. they had 2-3 of the small breeding tanks for the fish. I've already done my research and I know which one is the best for the fish. I had to ask " which is the best one" I expected her to sell so I expected her to say the most expensive one was the best one, but instead, she answered truthfully and told me that the cheapest one is actually the best. I have been so satisfied every time I go here. I rescued a Shiba Inu a few months ago, when he was only 11 weeks old. We knew he had to go to puppy training as soon as possible, since Shibas are notoriously stubborn. I went in on a Saturday to inquire about classes in person. As soon as I walked in, one of the trainers picked him up and started talking about classes with me while giving him such good pets. The next day I was in puppy class! Normally PetSmart classes are six weeks. However when another dog joined our class, we started it over, at no extra charge to us. So we got several extra classes for free. Our trainer also gave us bags of treats to help train our dogs, and always lets us know when she's got extra coupons for food and toys. If we were having certain issues with our dogs (my dog has issues going down stairs) she would take extra time to one-on-one train our dogs and give us tips for home. Marvel will be starting his next round of classes soon! I haven't tried their grooming salon, so I plan to update when I do! read more

This PetSmart is my regular go-to location. The cashiers always welcome me with a smile and provide me with all the specials and deals available. I had also visited this location for grooming purposes when my regular grooming salon was closed or too full. Previous groomers had given my puppy and I nothing but excellent service and reassurance that my pup was in the best hands. All until, I met Kitty. Kitty was on the phone when we arrived, and as she got off the phone turned around to complain about something to a young man cutting another dogs hair. Her attitude was so negative, I sincerely doubted if my pup would be safe. Given that it was Black Friday, I figured she had a difficult day, so I decided to give her a shot. Kitty performed the worst grinding nail job I have received from PetSmart or any other groomer for that matter. Kitty was a bit more positive when I returned to pickup my pup; however, she was clearly displeased to be at work. Disappointed and will not return for their grooming services. read more

The staff in the store is very helpful and polite. I wold not use the grooming services, if you would like to have a complete grooming experience. Part of a normal grooming is having your dogs anal glands expressed. At least if you request this to be done, it should be. They claim the dog didn't need it done. I know for sure this needs to be done because she is displaying the signs. When I asked if it was done the groomer said she didn't need it. I mentioned it while paying and the manager offered to go back to the groomers with me and have it done. I passed because the groomer was not interested in the first place, and I didn't want her to get mad and then take it out on my dog. I should have know when I called for the appointment that this was a bad idea since they said they like the vet to do the anal glands. Now, I will be taking her to the vet for $20 to do the procedure, and I have already paid $63 for the grooming which should have taken care of it. read more

TOTAL FAIL- I tried this Petsmart grooming after a few bad experiences at the one on Sutton Rd. After going in the store in person to check it out and explain the bad experiences I had at the other location, I was assured by Traci H. that things like that wouldn't happen at this store.... So I made an appointment with Traci H. for a grooming online a few days later.... I handed my dog over to be groomed and left assuming he would be taken care of by Traci whom I specified at the time of my reservation..... Pick up my baby and his hair was waaayyyyyyyy shorter than I asked it to be and long pieces of random hair are sticking out on his feet that I had to go home and trim myself.... and to top it off he had NOT been serviced by Traci...... and no one asked me if a different groomer could service him and I was not told anything upon pickup.... I looked on the report card they give you and it was NOT Traci's name..... So next time he needs to be groomed I decide to try it again and make sure to get Traci as my groomer..... next appointment (today) I reserve it with "Traci H." I booked it online and specifically choose her as the groomer.... I get there and the same girl that groomed him the first time greets me, meanwhile Traci is next to her greeting another customer, I said he has an appt. with "Traci" So Traci speaks up and says "O I was going to let the other girl do him, I am too busy, I have 3 appts. that all booked at the same time, is that ok?" and i said "NO"," I specifically booked you at 11:30 online" and she replies, "well I had 3 people book at the same time and didn't specify me but they are all for me, sorry" and I said well I DID specify you.... and she says "well I can do it but it will be a couple hours, is that ok?" and I said "NO".... REALLY, I'm not going to make my dog sit there a "couple of hours" before he can be groomed or go back later when I made my appointment the correct way!!!!!! What a joke this place is..... I care waaaaayyyyyyy more about my dog than putting him through that..... Get your crap together and give better customer service!!!!!! read more

I have been taking my current dog & previous dog here for 9 years for grooming. A few weeks ago I brought my dog in for grooming & she was fine. When we picked her up her eyes didn't look right. When I got home I texted the groomer & asked if she had got soap in her eyes, I didn't get a reply, I sent another message stating we were going to take her to the vet to get my dogs eyes looked at. I was told I don't think so, that she has allergies or she may have a hair that got in her tear duct. Not the case on either! We took our dog to the vet & the vet stated that soap got in both of her eyes & scratched both of her corneas, one eye is better the other eye has a non healing ulcer that she needs to see a eye specialist for a procedure to heal it. She is on eye drops, ointment, pain medication. I found out the groomer didn't follow PetsMart's protocol by putting saline in the dogs eye before & after the bath. I let the groomer know what happened & she offered me a $5.00 Coupon! That was INSULTING! You can keep your Lousy $5.00 COUPON!! Then she said she was going to talk to her Managers & come up with a solution, never talked to anyone & never got back to me! The groomer should have got fired for this! read more

Zero stars!! My husband and I adopted a cat from their pet adoption agency. When the cat was adopted they told him the cat had allergies and he was okay with that. The adoption agency told us to give him lysine to help with his sneezing. It did not help, they gave us antibiotics in pill form (which is not recommended by the vet because the antibiotics can irritate the cats throat). Since he was not getting better we took him to a vet, where when I told her the agency told us he had allergies and told us to give him lysine, she knew exactly what was wrong, the cat had FELINE HERPES!!!!! We have spent several hundred dollars treating our cat. The kicker is, we have another cat that is 10 years old and until now was perfectly healthy. Now, she also has feline herpes, has become depressed (a symptom of the virus) and her eyes constantly bother her. I would not recommend this adoption agency to anyone, go somewhere else where they care about animal health and not just getting rid of an animal yo unsuspecting people that are opening up their hearts and homes. read more
