We cannot begin to rave enough about Wet Noses Grooming! I only wish I knew about them when I was home with a toddler and newborn, instead I packed the family into my car to drop off our sweet little Molly the Maltese for grooming. This meant unbuckling toddler, hanging on to newborn and dog leash, entering the groomers (hoping for no other people or animals to distract the toddler, newborn, and dog. Tired of reading this? Imagine doing it! Then Wet Noses Grooming entered our lives when my sons were about 5 and 7! Total game changer and have been ever since! I will never give up Jessica, our groomer! She is a real professional and Molly loves her! Making appointments with Susan is easy breezy. She's so easy to work with and is incredibly patient with me at finding appointments that works with our crazy schedules. Since we first started with Wet Noses, Jess has gone through a ton of struggles owning her own business but she has never sacrificed her services or cut corners! Molly looks just as pretty as she always does. Jess had some staffing struggles like all businesses (before, during, and after COVID) and then the hit of inflation that raised prices of everything including gas and goods. It's so hard to find a talented groomer who is loving, caring, and consistent. We will NEVER give up Jessica or Wet Noses! Our sweet baby girl leaves the house looking like a scraggly, overgrown polar bear and looks like the adorable Maltese she is after being groomed. The grooming van is equipped with all sorts of goodies like warm water, heater, AC, hair dryer and other needs to make my girl look good. It truly is a doggy spa on wheels. They don't need anything from us except for Molly to groom. The van is clean, sanitized, and disinfected between each client. I never have to worry about handing Molly over. My sanity and my dog are both so grateful for Wet Noses Mobile Grooming! Believe me... SO well worth the money! read more

Two months ago this would have been 5 stars. 7 year client. Our usual assigned groomer told us after the last grooming in July that we couldn't schedule our next one direct with her because she was going out on leave. No problem, I'll text to schedule like i have in the past. Text, no response Week later text again, no response Called, they don't take voicemails - they said to text. I again text. Nothing. 3/4 weeks later email again asking if they can't service us to please have the courtesy to respond and let us know that. Understandable they could be short staffed. Radio silence. Ghosted. Never once heard back from them. Not once. Absolutely terrible. The only reason it's 2 star instead of 1 is because Tori, our groomer, was a fantastic groomer with fantastic communication. Have been getting my dog groomed with them when I am in Illinois, but now they say they cannot service in my neighborhood because quote "We had to, unfortunately, cut back on towns due to the cost of gas", which I completely understand, and in which I replied that I would cover any and all gas prices for the groomer to get to my house and back. In turn, this company simply replied back "Unfortunately we can not do that. I'm so sorry". I do not understand why they gave me a bullshit reason as to why they cannot provide me service when I provided them a solution to the so-called "reason" they had to deny me this service. If they did not want to provide me this service they are advertising, rather than just give me the real reason as to why they denied me and not just tell me one of the current issues going on across the ENTIRE country as a reason to not provide paying customers service, ESPECIALLY when I (a customer) is providing this company with a solution to a problem they are stating as the reason why they cannot provide me with the services they are advertising read more

Very disappointed right now. I have been going to the same groomer for 10 years and I drive over an hour to get there b/c I trust her with my dog. Finally gave in and decided to try Wet Nose mobile ... And after I booked the appointment on-line, I got an auto reply saying they would call to confirm.... NO CALL... So I emailed them. The appointment came and went... So I gave them another chance. THEY said 4pm, then replied with 4:30pm- ok I agreed. Today 4:30 came and went, so did 5pm.... Then I emailed and called. Twice, however, we had appointments which were made WELL in advance (months!) and we were cancelled on at the last minute. Most recently, we in fact got two texts CONFIRMING our appointment, only to have a girl call us and cancel it the afternoon before our appointment. Really crappy business, and we will not being using them again. The grooming is only half of your business, folks. The other half is the convenience factor, and if you can't keep appointments, your service is useless to us. *** Update as of 20-Sep-2018 While Allan's family's illness is unfortunate and we're sorry for that, his response nonetheless skips over a few facts: * We had TWO separate appointments cancelled on us. The illness was the second one. We didn't go online to complain after the first cancellation. * It wasn't that we didn't want the weekend appointment that was offered to us; we simply couldn't take it. We have a dog immunocompromised from chemotherapy who can't be exposed to other dogs (and we made Wet Noses aware of this). As such, we had been requesting the day's first appointment. The weekend appointment offered was not the day's first appointment, so we could not take it. The next "first appointment" was about a month out. This then made it the second time that our cancelled appointment was to be rescheduled for the too-distant future. * We said the grooming itself was good. We were happy with the way our dogs looked. After two cancellations, and with the rescheduled appointments each being several weeks out from the original ones, this is not a service we could continue to make use of. read more

I cannot say enough good things about our first experience. We had 3 dogs bathed and they all came out smelling so good and looked great. They all came out of the van wagging their tails and do happy. So much better for our dogs to be at home and be groomed properly. Katie was the best. No more driving to a groomer and having our girls in a cage during grooming appointments. So much less stress on everyone. The cost is only slightly more than when I drove them to a groomer. Cannot say enough great things about this service! We rescued two brothers (35 lbs each) who don't do well in a traditional grooming environment where they need to be crated. Also let's be honest, as a working mom with a toddler there is nothing like the convenience of having a groomer come to you instead of your day's schedule being based around their grooming. Anyways, when Jessica shows up you can tell that she truly likes working with animals. My dogs, who can be shy around strangers, seem so comfortable with her which puts me at ease and confirms I made the right choice with a groomer. When they come back in the house freshly groomed they are super happy like they just had the best time. Their coats are super soft and smell AMAZING too! We annoy them the day of the grooming because we can't stop petting their super soft coat, lol. Highly recommend this company and especially Jessica! read more

Horrible customer service, I have been using them for a year and the last few appointments have had issues. The first issue the owner lost or destroyed my $90 Soresto collar,and told me it must have fallen off. No those collars do not budge! Next Nicole comes on a below freezing day takes my dog and returns 45 minutes later saying the water lines are frozen. Hours later she does call and come back to groom. Only after that she tells me the fee has gone up. Wish I knew before I wrote the check. Then yesterday a NO SHOW or courtesy call! I called and e-mailed NO RESPONSE 24 hours later. Usually I'm pretty hands-on when it comes to my dog...you know, I'll walk her (and by *I* I mean my unwed life partner), pick up the poop (unless it's been an entire winter of freezing and thawing and there's a yard full of it {that one I leave to businesses, not my poor overworked partner, I swear}), give her baths (okay okay so this one is like every 6 months or so but I still do it myself), yada yada yada. Now that I just typed all of that, I guess I'm not so hands-on after all. Either way, whether you're hands-on but need a hand or don't want to take care of your dog by yourself at all, Wet Noses has you covered. A van that comes to your house and grooms your dog for you is by far the laziest option when you have your own house, self-serve baths, groomers that you can go to, and finally groomers that come to you as options. With that said, and having a new(ish) baby as an excuse, I went full tilt lazy and called in the experts. I emailed to see price and availability and got a call back the next day which was awesome. My appointment was also set within a couple of days for an "as soon as possible evening after 5pm" which most places are not open for. Last, the girl who I spoke to on the phone (Jessica?) was really nice and helped me pick out a bath that would be best for my disgusting dandruffy monster of a dog. The mud bath is $10 more but totally worth it if you too have a disgusting flaky and dandery dog. The van literally drives right to your house, parks in the driveway (or street if you want it that way I suppose), washes/dries/grooms your dog, and then walks the dog right back to your door. They even take credit cards so you don't have to have cash on you (though I did so I could tip!). It was seriously worth every penny and I will continue to use them from here on out since I'm guessing I'm not going to get any less busy or any less lazy. read more

With one of my dogs having seizures, I have to be the first appointment at a groomers because it can be too stressful when there are lots of dogs present. I have a toy poodle and we LOVE Jessica. I'll say it again...we love Jessica and Wet Noses Grooming. She is so careful and kind and excellent grooming skills. Really pays close attention and if she notices anything out of place or different lets us know...she spotted a yeast infection in our dog's ear and we so appreciated it. My fiance and I LOVE Nicole! I decided to try a mobile grooming service because my dog does not like being around a lot of other animals. I am really picky about how things are done and Nicole listened to everything I said, down to the tiniest detail. My dog is also usually very uneasy around new people and by the end, I could tell she was really comfortable with Nicole and that is hard to find. She was very friendly and pleasant to work with! The young ladies didn't even have enough professionalism to contact me. I left messages on the phone and their website. The only response I got was giving rates of 85 dollars a dog without them knowig the specifics. I tried to call back and make appointment to have them groomed, again to no avail. I got in touch with Studio Fifty Fur out of Glendale Heights who called me back immediately, asked me about my goofiies and quoted different prices (much more accomidating then wet noses). I used them for the 1st time for our new pup (5 lb Havanese). Explained to owner that this would be first hair cut. Groomer showed up 30 minutes early. We were not ready. Took pup away and came back 20 minutes later and the only things that were done were shaved bridge of his snout, trimmed nails, and bathed him. He looked terrible, it was like he had a football helmet on his head. She charged me $70. Was never told by anyone that if the cut can't be completed would still charge full price. Tried talked to owner about this and it was oh well, not my problem. A week later took pup to another groomer and they had absolutely no problem doing everything! Buyer beware!! read more

This is the best groomer I have ever used! My Havanese Dulci has been afraid of every groomer I have used and Nicole put all those fears to rest. She did a great grooming and made her look so cute we get stopped all the time and asked who does her grooming! They always take their time and do a thorough job with all aspects of the grooming.
