I visited PetSmart in The Summit plaza. They were having dog training so I watched for a bit. I went in hoping they had reptiles to look at. This is a smaller store who focuses on dogs and cats. They have a small variety of aquariums with live fish. They also sell live crickets. They groom your pooch as well. Most of the supplies I saw were for dogs. It was still a fun visit. Very nice dog store. Friendly staff. Clean environment and helpful & knowledgeable staff

We took bichipoo in for Grooming and when we picked her up, all looked fine when we got home, we found out that they really cut her nose in between her eyes really bad and covered it with white powder the kind they use at dog shows when we got home and the powder washed off, we noticed how damaged her nose was and swollen. We have the vet coming out tonight. We neither recommend this groomer nor will we ever return. read more

So friendly, so helpful. There was a small miscommunication from my end and Tiffany was super active and friendly when dealing with the issue. She was able to get me a new appointment within 15 minutes. On top of that normally my dog has to be held down when getting her nails done however Damien was able to do it by himself and super fast. Don't leave reviews normally, but I felt inclined to do so with this location. read more

Online hours say open until 9pm. Drove there arrived at 8:01... doors locked. Closed with a window sign with a patch over the hours changing it to an "8". Thanks for wasting my time and gas because you're too lazy (or inept) to update your hours online. This is the last chance I will give this store. No wonder you're running out of customers.. the last time I was there someone literally told me "no we don't carry that.. we are a small store" arguing with me when I said "you should have it.." I pressed.. went to the shelf and there it was- the product I asked for- salesgirl then gave attitude "well there are literally millions of products- I can't be expected to know them all"... I said, "that's why we check instead of STARTING out saying "no".." and you can't have it BOTH WAYS- either it's a "small store" OR "millions of products". This is a mini Petsmart in my neighborhood. It's about 1/4 the size of their regular stores. It's perfect for me since they carry all my dog supplies. Today I found non-gmo version of my dog food. So happy that healthy choices are available for my dog. I feed him Nutro brand only because he seems to tolerate it better than many other premium brands I had tried. Another bonus of this location is that I can park 10 feet away from the door because the store is never crowded. It's great when I'm carrying 40 pounds of dog food. They also have dog grooming which I haven't used yet. read more

I drove to my appointment at 11:00 am today 4/25/23 and was told the groomer was not there. The trip was 25 minutes each way. The woman at the groomer register said the groomer had left me a text cancelling the appointment yesterday. The message I received was for me to confirm my appointment not a cancellation. I checked my text. No text message. She was rude and didn't even apologize. Last time I step foot in this Pets Mart Ashler Hill location in North Scottsdale! Found professional grooming a block away without big store chain name. Pets mart needs to properly train their employees to be polite. They are my new groomers. Now I see why I am the only customer at this store. I took a minute after posting this review to read others. Even going back 4 years customers complained about how rude the grooming department was. Extremely disappointed with the staff in the grooming department. It takes weeks to get an appointment and then when you finally do and show up on time you're told it's still another week out. I took my cat here to get his nails trimmed and he is a really good kitty never have any problems. They trim his first paw perfectly fine and all of a sudden he gets jumpy and run in his carrier. The lady didn't finish the next paw and when I went to look at it she had cut to the quick (the pink part of his nail) which you DO NOT cut. He was hurt and now one paw is finished and the next paw just has one nail dangling off on the quick :( DO not go here for any nail trimming read more

I previously had a good review of this grooming location, not anymore. My dog had an 8am appointment today for bath and haircut. It's 1:13pm now and she's still not done. At 8am they said, 4 full hours, come back at noon. My husband arrived at noon, sorry we need 45 minutes more, one hour later her went back, not done, need more time-- he had a fit so they started trimming her. Oh they said to him, "we are obligated to take walk ins" what the heck policy is that, random people show up, no appointment, so your appointment is pushed back?? Never going back. Customer service is awful, dog in a cage 5 hours and 17 minutes, waiting parents thinking she will be done soon, day totally screwed up!!! read more

I was beyond happy when we got our baby girl Chloe back. She is a rescue Maltipoo and doesn't love grooming. I took her in due to severe matting from partaking in pool parties with our boys! Her hair was very dry and after bathing her I could not get her tangles out! I was greeted by a beautiful young lady, Athena who was so kind in receiving us. She was followed by the groomer, Mystica (not sure if I spelled right) but as uniquely beautiful as her name was, her skill set was the same. I told her my concerns with Chloe and she assured me she would take care of her. Shortly after I came to pick Chloe up, not only did she look 10x better and felt amazing, I could tell she felt amazing! She was so happy and so was I knowing she didn't have any more pesky mats! It made our week!!! Little things like the great customer service we received and the kindness and gentle nature of the staff during these hard times melted our hearts! Thank you again Ladies for taking care of our babies needs and helping us make the choice to call Mystica our go to groomer!!!! We love you guys!! read more

Spacious and clean location that opened up in the old Heard museum location there in the Safeway shopping center by the gas station. Plenty of parking. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I was able to get my pet supplies for same or lower price than what I normally pay at Safeway. read more

Just a quick note to share some wonderful comments about Kirsten, the store manager, and Hillary, one of the groomers, at this Petsmart location. I actually followed these two women from the Scottsdale Promenade location where they worked prior to this location. Kirsten Horvath helped train our Lucy and is super...now, as store manager, however, she no longer dog trains. And Hillary has been grooming Lucy for 21/2 of Lucy's 3 years, doing a fantastic job! The ride is a little longer from our house to get to the Summit, but we only need to do it every 6 weeks and so worth the trip! Highly recommend it! read more
