My journey with OFF LEASH K9 TRAINING began when I chose them after extensive research on the best company to train our first two huskies at Colorado. Everyone had told us that huskies can't be trained because of how stubborn they are. People would call us crazy for even owning TWO HUSKIES. Our life was a mess because we couldn't build the communication ourselves. Thank God we got Gustavo as our dog trainer to prove everyone wrong. He built a clear communication between us and our dogs. Which has led everyone to turn around with amazement to watch our dogs have an excellent recall upon hiking. To have an extended down when going out for a coffee or to walk next to us when going to the stores. Happy with the results, once I moved to Texas I recommended my family, living in Texas with their two yorkies and a husky, this company. The results were off from what my two huskies had with Gustavo at Denver Colorado. Which led me to drive TWENTY HOURS to give Dracarys, the new member of our family, the opportunity to be trained by Gustavo at Denver. He trained Dracarys to be calm, obedient, patient and to follow all the commands diligently plus he also gave me a refresher for the husky trained with off leash in Texas. Gustavo is fluent in English, Spanish and he happens to be a dog whisper as-well. He explains how the dog thinks and acts in a very easy to understand manner. He has well organized thoughts which has led me to be able to instruct my dog on what it is that I want from him without creating any confusion on the dog. He gives you the confidence to be able to ask questions. He is honestly a great choice for your dog. After calling every possible training facility and trainer in the West Metro region, expressing major concern about Shadow having possible aggression issues, Jon + Judson + Blaine very patiently heard me out, answered every question I had, put my mind at ease, and also showed me that he does not in fact have aggression issues, just had some fear and needed to have his confidence built up. This was a stark contrast to a "professional trainer" (I will NEVER do business with nor recommend Canine Dimensions, particularly Summer Rhodes) who basically told me: (1) my puppy's behavior was beyond unnatural, and (2) I was not the right person for this dog, which was devastating to hear. Everything from Pomeranians to Labrador and Golden Retrievers and every breed, temperament and personality in between. It's easy to find trainers but it can be really hard to find a GOOD trainer! Over the years, we've spent thousands on dog behavior veterinarians, breed specific trainers, and your basic pet store group classes. All of these can work for some dogs, but not all. We lost our two black Labrador brothers this past summer to age related health problems. We were completely devestated. We didn't know if we could do it again until Jack decided for us. Jack is a male Bichon mix rescue, but who rescued who? Jack rescued us - literally ! When we got Jack home we wanted to start out on the right foot immediately. We used two online trainings - waste of money and time. We asked, searched and found several self-proclaimed and "guaranteed results" trainers. You had a time limited training. From past training experiences, if your dog didn't learn everything in that timeframe you were left feeling frustrated and confused as to what to do next. Then we found Adrienne at Bark Busters. We also recently adopted a high-energy 1-year-old rescue, Rambo (he's part blue heeler), who came to us from an abusive situation so he was very reactive and hard to manage. She has been going there for all most 3 years now and she loves it so much!! Gigi is a high energy dog with some anxiety issues. From the beginning Bradie worked with us helping me to understand, and Gigi to overcome her anxiety issues, not to mention that I know Bradie continues to work with Gigi whenever she's at daycare. It is definitely one of the perks you get when you have a trainer caring for your dog, whether it is for daycare or boarding. I also have friends who have used Bradie for help training their dogs and they too have been very impressed with the progress they have seen with their dogs, both puppies and older dogs. My dog is afraid of hard wood floors and doorways so getting him in was a big of a struggle but the man and woman working were very sweet to him and there was also another dog there just hanging out that absolutely helped with his nerves. They were efficient and really listened to our requests. I worry about bringing my dog into the groomers because I am pretty particular about where to trim him and not to touch. They followed exactly what we requested and trimmed the areas that needed it perfectly. There prices are also extremely reasonable!
