The manager is disrespectful! I have 5 aquariums and I shop here sometimes. I was buying a Java fern for a tank and they said they would price match. When I showed them the image they went on a ranting spree trying to match the image up. When she scanned the barcode it pulled up my image from the app and she tried to decline it. Had my pup groomed there (tried) and they just did her face and said she "nipped" them. She's been to two groomers before and another since without issue. She's is super friendly and no one has ever had an issue with her. She even loves going to the vet to see her "friends". Only tried them since my other groomers were booked. read more

LOVE the groomers and trainers here!!! Had a fantastic experience with the training sessions, my puppy is so much smarter because of the courses they offer here! And the GROOMERS!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG FOR GROOMING TO THIS SALON. One star is way too much for the grooming salon at this PetSmart. We took our dog to get a haircut this summer, my husband asked them if the knew how to do a Westie haircut, they say yes. I'm not going to tell you a long story, you can see the before and after pictures. They don't know what they are doing, my dog's whiskers were cut along with all his hair and he was sick for a whole week, I think he was very depressed. Don't use this salon. The store manager apologized and said someone from corporate was going to call us, that never happened. read more

I feel so bad for the animals here. This is obviously an oldest store but regardless the poor animals are not cared for. The fish department was an absolute mess. There were dead fish in almost ever aquarium. Five of the fish I bought died within the first 3 days. I am aware of their return policy but based on the conditions in which they were living at the store I'm almost positive they were Ill to begin with. The poor employee that helped me had no idea about fish, she was clearly new and trying her best. There was even a disgusting odor to the store. So disappointed they would allow the treatment of animals this way. Someone should make a call to corporate... will not return I rather pay expensive shipping rates and get healthy fish online. read more

Three times I have asked for the ears of my Chinese Crested to be cut super short and never get it. My dogs ears have flopped due to this. Don't take your dog here if you have a Crested. I used to go here because it was easy to book and they have long availability hours but after the 3rd time of my dog not being done right I have to go somewhere else. The girls are nice and personable but I feel they just don't know how to groom my dog's breed. It seems obvious they didn't look up how a Powder Puff is to be groomed. This is about Petsmart's grooming service. We are very happy with their service. We have an English Mastiff, a really sweet dog. The groomers are not afraid of him as some people are due to his size. He came out looking good and smelling wonderful. I'm surprised to recommend a pet store as groomer. But they are very good. read more

BEWARE if you use Pets Mart Grooming on Little Rd in Trinity.!!!! I witnessed a groomer causing pain to a poor white golden doodle type dog, and she was screaming in pain and the groomer kept lifting and yanking hard on her leg. It was lifted outward about level with her back!! When the groomer wouldn't stop I burst in the door and said stop your hurting that poor dog. She said, shes a puppy shes fine. I said you are hurting her badly she crying in pain. The treatment of some dogs were NOT right!!!!! Then this dog was being dropped off and literally going crazy and crying and not wanting to go in....I wonder why!!! I left and took my mom home and went back hoping to see the owner with the poor dog to let them know. Unfortunately, after an hour wait I must have missed them. What the heck is going on here? I came in to get a few things and this store has NONE of them in stock! I'm used to them not having certain things in stock, they are notorious for it, but now they have nothing! Sure hope you don't go to the store looking for cat medicine, kitten milk, certain litter, litter mats, a litter box or cat bowls because they have zero!! It's also humorous some of the things they try to sell on the 50% off table. Broken items that cannot be fixed, cat grass that is moldy and stinky, wall oil diffusers that are almost empty... you shouldn't even be giving that stuff away for free- let alone attempt to sell it for a profit smh. Refusing returns during Covid is one thing- being nasty about the return after you resume is another! Try to think how long you held the customers money up before being nasty! I was in a long line of returns and none of them went smoothly. Yes I had a lot to return but I had a receipt for everything! Swore I would not buy another thing in this store but caved when I couldn't find our dog food in stock and called to see if they had it. Person who answered the phone was rude and inconvenienced that I asked. So this was out pet store for the last six months....until recently. When our pup started to grow, we got him a new collar at PetSmart. It was the store brand TopPaw and nothing special. Over the months we shop at this store to the tune of $100 a month. Recently the collar broke so we went back to check out their so-called no hassle return policy. What a hassle. First, we were told by two managers that they could not find our receipt in the system....even though we only got our puppy this spring. The managers claimed that they weren't from PetSmart even though it was there store brand. Even if it came from another retailer, their no hassle return supposedly covers that too. I called the store and spoke with the store manager, Nicole. She had no customer service skills and also claimed that it wasn't their collar even though she never saw it. She was very rude and dismissive...surprising since we spend so much there and we were having an issue with a $7 store brand collar. After several calls to corporate with nobody answering or returning calls, my wife got frustrated and went back to the store. She came across a different manager that immediately recognized the collar as a store brand. She exchanged it for an identical item as expected. This was such a hassle over an inexpensive collar...terrible customer service from the store and corporate...I'll take my $100 a month to Petco or PetSupermarket. read more

I had stopped going to this store because of them constantly being out of stock of everything I needed. Whoever does their purchase orders is not paying attention to what customers buy regularly. But, I caved and went back because they are the only ones with Raw Bars. And a discrepancy over Raw Bars and Bones and rude employees is why I will not be going back. The sign looked like it said buy one get one free but apparently it said buy on and get something else free. When I inquired what that meant and what the free thing was the cashier ringing me up told me I could go down the aisle and ask the lady doing the price check (for what the sign said) instead of asking the lady on their headset they wear to communicate. The cashier was very rude. She was ringing up my purchases and basically told me to get out of line and go ask myself. I will not be returning to this store or any Petsmart chain. If the prices weren't bad enough, the customer service is worse. You have lost my business petsmart and I own my own business as a dog trainer and dog walker and I spent a lot of money there on treats and other supplies. Goodbye. read more

I took my dog for a bath, his nails had been clipped recently at the vet, so I asked they not be clipped. The dog is groomed regularly so he is not afraid of a dryer, clippers or anything a groomer would use. He is 9 years old and been groomed monthly. My previous groomer is on vacation so I went to PetSmart. An hour later I was called and told he was ready and to pay at the front before picking up my dog. When I got there, I was charged an additional $12 for a nail trim. I told the clerk I had specifically asked his nails not be done and she said, well, I can't help you, take this to the groomer. I took the receipt to the groomer and she got my dog. His nails were clipped so short he was limping. He fought to get out the door. When we got into the store where he loves to walk around, he was still fighting to get out the door. I stopped him and bent down to calm him and noticed his eyes were bloody- I was told it was from the shampoo. I was in tears and took him immediately to the emergency vet where I was told it was from him being choked, or continually pulling against a collar, I was also told that all of his nails had been filed past the quick and he was given a sedative to calm him and ease the pain. I will never visit the store again. They lost a several hundred dollar a month customer. However, my receipt from Sierra, the groomer, stated that my dog was fantastic for her. This store is well run and the associates are courteous and knowledgeable. This is the place to go if you are looking to adopt a rescue animal. Animals are all fixed and healthy. I took my puppy and kitten to the vet in petsmart these are my 1st fur babies and they gave me flea and tick stuff for my kitten on the printed label from them they put give with food and give only by mouth so I did and then my poor kitten got sick I called animal poison control WHOM charged me 49.00 to tell me what I should do for my poor kitty baby. I am so furious I haven't slept watching over my kitten like the phone vet said. My 12 year old Daughter has cried herself sick. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FOR IN-STORE PICKUP at the Trinity Location!!! Placed an order on Jan 15, my cc was billed on Jan 16. I was ill so I was unable to get there within the store 7 day window for pick-up. On Jan 26. I rec'd an email notice that items were to be returned to stock. I called the corporate office, to be told to call the store. I called the store, the merchandise was still in the bag, awaiting pickup but I was told I had to place another order because they had issued a return. I was not about to do that until I checked with the credit card company to be sure a credit was issued. A credit has not been posted to my account. I called back to corporate... they show order still ready for pickup, instructed me to call the store. On the second call, I spoke with a female manager who said there was no contact info on my receipt, so they couldn't call me, I had to place another order if I wanted the items. A store manager is supposed to solve problems... this one is not an asset to PetSmart, since she was in complete agreement with me when I said I won't be shopping there anytime soon. She said: "OK"!!. There is a Pet Supermarket, Pet Co. and three other independent pet stores near my home, they will get my business. There is ALWAYS an issue with orders for pickup at Trinity...On EVERY occasion, the Trinity location requires a processing time of at least 20 minutes, why I do not know. The Clearwater store has no issues with pickup, takes only seconds. read more

We are long time customers stopping buy here 2x a week for our 12 pets, never had an issues, staff is friendly & accomodating! This changed the other day when we went to return a dog item, still in the box unopened but had misplaced the receipt, the manager came over & said no refunds so i explained i was purchasing $100 worth of merchandise & just wanted a store credit of the $30 to go toward my purchase. She said they dont do that, they do no returns what so ever without a receipt, went on to day no stores do. She was rude & unprofessional, even the sales girl said they issue store credits with no receipt... Customers in line behind me chimed in stating they had brought back a hamster cage with no receipt for a store credit with no problem recently. I told her i would take my business elsewhere & she was fine with that. Her name is Tammy. Worst customer service i had ever experienced in my life so i contacted the corporate office. Also looked up the store return policy & guess what? YOU CAN RETURN MERCHANDISE TO STORE WITHOUT RECEIPT FOR A STORE CREDIT & THE CORPORATE OFFICE SAID I WAS CORRECT. I had an appointment to have my puppy groomed here and brought her paper work to prove that she has had her rabies shot. When I showed the employees the paper work, they said that there was no "expiration date" on her shots, but clearly the dates of her shots were written on the form. She is under 1 year old and has already had 2 sets of shots, meaning she is right on track with all of her shots. I tried explaining this to them but they refused to acknowledge what I was saying. Instead, they inferred that I was trying to break the rules and get my dog groomed without having her rabies shot when clearly the document from my vet had the date of her last shot on it! Maybe the grooming employees need further training on how to interpret vet docs, but this form from my vet was so straightforward that it didn't make sense that I was refused services. Just a warning, if you're going to wait weeks to get your puppy groomed here make sure you are prepared to deal with these people. read more

I am usually a Petco shopper but my girlfriend was in the area of this location today so she went here for crickets instead. She purchased the crickets at 1:52 p.m. and by the time she arrived at a nearby business, roughly 15 minutes away in a fully air conditioned car, the crickets were dead. All of them. We have never had this problem before and were therefore rather upset. On the phone I spoke with a Preston who had said I could come get either a refund or exchange for new crickets. I responded by saying I would like new crickets. Upon arriving at the store I had decided that I would instead like a refund and to take my business back to Petco, where I had never had a problem. The young lady who I spoke to was rather rude and accusing of the situation. She implied that she was a manager yet wore no noticeable name tag. What kind of retail establishment doesn't require management to wear name tags? Ultimately it is obvious that this location, and perhaps not the company itself, has some issues with their employees that need to be dealt with. I would suggest that people avoid this location for they obviously do not view customer service as a high priority. read more
