I was impressed with the selections of accessories they had for your pet. Parking everywhere nice lot plus great service. As soon as you come in they have a section for grooming dogs, on the left and on the right they have the registers. I been too many shops and many of them are over loaded with the same accessories and food brands but this one had a bit of everything which makes it a great place to shop in. They had great fish tanks for under $300 that hold more than 75 gallons of water that's amazing. They also had the decorations that many places lack in having. Great spot for your pet must check them out.

Waiting to be seen. 5:30pm appointment

Appointment was for 5:30pm. Entered office with a nurse at 5:53pm. The nurse took time to explain the plan and its benefits and asked what we wanted today. Bella was approached by the doctor and nurse at 6:12pm. Doctor muzzled Bella and took her out to get her shots at 6:20pm because she wouldn't calm down. Doctors bring her out at 6:27pm all taken care of. We think this was a normal experience... we are just nervous for Bella who is always nervous around people.

People warned me about PetSmart grooming and I ignored them. That's my mistake I guess. Don't take your dog here.

Her reviews were all positive and consistent in their comments, and her rates were listed and extremely reasonable. Karin responded to my inquiry within an hour and we had a scheduled phone call that same evening. She came to our home the next night. When she arrived, she quietly observed our new puppy and our nine-year-old dog, and then gave us detailed instructions on what she wanted us to do. She also had us try some of those instructions while she was still there to guide us. At the end of the visit, we scheduled another session for two weeks from that date. Things are already so much better in our home. Karin got right to the root of our puppy's issues and quickly came up with a plan for us to execute. She is a great communicator and just made everything seem doable. Most importantly, our dogs responded to her immediately. She clearly understands dogs and likes them. It was easy to see that, for her, it was about them as individuals, and not about a set method that she adheres to. From our first conversation, I could see that Karin loves what she does. She is curious, observant, and determined to find a way to help her clients and their dogs to understand each other better and to build relationships based on trust and consistency. She just calms the chaos that having a puppy can sometimes lead to! Do not hesitate to turn to her.

As first-time dog owners, we tried our best to train Millie on our own, but it just wasn't cutting it. We constantly struggled with obedience and her inability to listen to us, intense pulling when we went on walks, jumping, getting mouthy - the list goes on and on. We felt defeated and insecure - but as soon as we talked with Jean and Linda at NJ Fix My Dog, we felt hopeful! They assured us Millie was the kind of dog that could be helped, and they'd be happy to step in.  Throughout Millie's 2 week bootcamp, we received frequent updates from Linda on Millie's progress, photos, and videos. We missed her but we knew she was in excellent care and learning so much everyday. After the 2 week bootcamp, Linda brought Millie home and we were in shock at how well-behaved, and well-mannered suddenly became. The day she came home, Linda spent over an hour with us going over what Millie learned and how to work with her going forward. She also gave us a full document with an assessment of Millie's overall behavior, how to continue to enforce what she learned, and how encourage her along the way.  Before bootcamp, we dreaded going for a walk with Millie because of how she behaved when she saw other dogs (pulling toward them, whimpering, getting anxious, etc.), and how she walked in general (tugging and zig-zagging the entire walk). Now she walks like an absolute DREAM! Right at our side, a nice little trot, ignores other dogs, people, squirrels - everything! We could walk her all day long now, and we look forward to all our walks! Millie used to ignore us when we called for her, or told her "no" if she was doing something we didn't like, but now her recall skills are excellent and she runs right over to us when we call her. She doesn't even try to attempt the bad behavior she used to do, like jumping, getting mouthy, etc., and instead happily relaxes. Her overall demeanor used to be just a little bit intense, always on the lookout for something to get into - but now she is so calm and seems at east with herself. Linda worked WONDERS! We learned so much about Millie through this process, and we truly feel comfortable with what Linda taught us to help Millie be her best self. We feel like we have the tools we need, and the confidence. We feel the support of NJ Fix My Dog now even after Millie is back home - we know Linda is just a call or text away if we need any help.

We found out the hard way that he is very "food motivated". So much so that he would steal food off our counters if you left him alone for a second. To add insult to injury, stealing food would make him anxious and then he would pee on our floor. I was skeptical at first. You can't teach an old dog new tricks, as they say. Apparently that old adage isn't always true. Jenny taught our old dog many new tricks. All of which made him a better, more obedient member of our family. I was pleasantly shocked with how far he progressed under her tutelage.

Jenny is an absolute dream…read more On Aug 1 of 2010, we adopted a rescue; a maltese. We named him 8Bit. They told us when we took him home that he had some problems with being left alone. We didn't quite realize to what extent they meant. Once we had him for a few days, we had reports from neighbors of barking and kept coming home to huge messes (pee, poo, and chewing things up). Our 5ish year old had been found on the streets of Queens with both his back legs not working & had apparently been abandoned thus causing him to develop a severe case of separation anxiety. He simply could not be left alone for longer than a minute without acting out. We tried doing things ourself for a while, but we finally decided we should invest in a dog trainer around September. The important thing to remember here is that dog trainers do not exist simply to come & train your dog, but rather to give you the tools that you need to help modify your pup's behavior. It took the better part of a year, but since then, 8Bit has been so much better. I still can't believe this is the same dog we brought home over a year ago. Now we can leave him alone all day if we need to. Jenny was patient with us & with 8Bit in helping us move in little steps to get 8Bit to a place where he could be more calm & comfortable in his new home(s) (we've moved a few times since then). Not to mention, Jenny consistently went above & beyond by answering questions via email even when not in sessions & watching live streams of 8Bit at home alone to observe behavior even without being prompted to do so even once. My girlfriend and I both feel confident now in correcting his behavior and introducing positive incentives when we see something else we need to correct. I could not be happier with the results we got from our sessions with Jenny. We love our little man and we're so happy that Jenny helped us help him to be a calmer happier pup. We think about the positive effect Jenny has had on our lives every single day. I wholeheartedly endorse Jenny & Give Paw without any reservation whatsoever.

Our main goals were to address poor manners when people came over (jumping/barking), poor leash manners (pulling/leading the walk/leash aggression for one of them), and all around general behavior training. We wanted, and needed, help to rectify these things before our son became truly mobile. We emailed Pat on a Friday night and he called the next day. We spoke for over an hour and he reassured us that things would be okay. We scheduled a training session for later that week and haven't looked back. He is an incredible teacher; he took the time to learn about our dogs, our family dynamic, and what our hopes were for the training sessions. He began teaching us right away and showed us how to get into the minds of our dogs. We are five sessions in and there has been such a vast improvement already. We are currently working on walking both dogs and pushing the stroller - a dream of mine - that is soon to be a reality. We genuinely look forward to each session and getting to hang with Pat. Our pack was definitely out of whack but Pat has been instrumental in teaching us how to teach our dogs and reframe our thinking. If you are looking for a no BS, honest, caring trainer/behaviorist, and you are willing to trust someone, and put in the time and work, look no further - he is definitely your guy. We cannot recommend him enough.
