Are extremely dirty with cloudy water and some have dead fish on the bottom of the tank . TERRIBLE MAINTENANCE , not to mention all the fish are dying because they don't have proper care . The people who work at this petsmart location are amazing! We were recently visiting family in the area and needed a quick dog grooming but actually live about 2 hours away. Since we had time to kill waiting for our dog we visited the fish and reptiles where Irene worked. She is the most enthusiastic animal lover I think I've ever met! Then the salon team...I can't even put into words how accommodating they are! They took us last minute and treated my dog like family! They were efficient, knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. Then when we checked out, the cashier (whose name I cannot remember) was a doll! She got me some coupon discounts for my next visit and entertained my son...I could tell she was a fellow mom! I was impressed with the selections of accessories they had for your pet. Parking everywhere nice lot plus great service. As soon as you come in they have a section for grooming dogs, on the left and on the right they have the registers. I been too many shops and many of them are over loaded with the same accessories and food brands but this one had a bit of everything which makes it a great place to shop in. They had great fish tanks for under $300 that hold more than 75 gallons of water that's amazing. They also had the decorations that many places lack in having. Appointment was for 5:30pm. Entered office with a nurse at 5:53pm. The nurse took time to explain the plan and its benefits and asked what we wanted today. Bella was approached by the doctor and nurse at 6:12pm. Doctor muzzled Bella and took her out to get her shots at 6:20pm because she wouldn't calm down. Doctors bring her out at 6:27pm all taken care of. We think this was a normal experience... we are just nervous for Bella who is always nervous around people. read more

We love this petsmart! It's always been a positive experience there for us. We took our sweet pup Rosie there for training and she enjoyed her time with Clarice. It was fun for us as well to train her each week and watch her learn. We continue to get her groomed there by Sara who always does a wonderful job on our little girl. If I could give a zero I would. I recommend no one take their cat for grooming at petsmart in Springfield, Union NJ. This was by far the worst experience. I called to schedule my cat for grooming and the lady on the phone told me my cat needed an updated rabies shot. My cat had a few matted pieces on his back and was in pain so I really needed to get him in. I took my cat to the vet prior to the appointment to get him updated on his vaccination. The woman proceeded to put a cone on him bc my cat turned to look and see what she was doing, she then clipped his nails, and proceeded to tell me she couldn't continue the services. I asked her why and she said "bc your cat hissed." I said "ok well you are clipping his nails and you have a cone on him. I came specifically so you can take care of the matted pieces." She wouldn't continue services bc "he was stressed" and I said I'm pretty sure all cats are stressed when they have to go for grooming, but he is in pain and this is essential. You told me you guys groom cats. She was so rude. The manager came in and proceeded to tell me they couldn't continue bc my cat is stressed. So I guess all cats are supposed to be happy and show no signs of fear during grooming in order to get services done at petsmart. This makes absolute no sense. They're the professionals and should know how to handle situations like this. I can understand if cats are super aggressive but he was not at all. He was terrified and she labeled him as "aggressive" and then switched to "stressed." The groomer told me she can give me the number to another place that could sedate him if needed which I wouldn't want for my cat anyway bc I didn't think it was necessary. If you have a good groomer that knows what they're doing, that wouldn't be needed. When I asked for the number moments later she said "google it." My poor cat was scared and was not being aggressive at all, he kept his head down most of the time. Long story short they let my cat walk out with the matting on his back, clipped his nails and then told me they couldn't do anything else. They're supposed to be professionals and be able to aid in situations like this to which they provided nothing. I wish someone would have told me there's a possibility we won't be able to do the services if the cat shows signs of aggression or fear. I would have never drove 30 minutes, pregnant lugging around my 15lbs cat. My poor cat is in pain and petsmart let us walk out like that.. read more

You can do things right plenty of times but it only takes one time to upset a costumer. I've been taking my dog Fluffy to get groomed here for years they've always been on point- no complaints but today not so much. It looks like there was no attention to detail and they just rushed through him. His poodle head is not even! One side is higher than the other. Very disappointing considering I paid 70 dollars for my dogs haircut... that's more than mine. I brought it up to her attention that my dogs head didn't look as poofy as it usually does she said she would leave a note in my account to leave it fluffier for next time.... it's never been this short I'm sure it was her mistake especially because it's not even the same length through out. Even on his legs and around his paws there was some loose straggly pieces that otherwise were never there before when I've picked him up from a fresh groom! Considering I have an additional new puppy it sucks to say I may have to consider a new place in the future. I'm not saying I would never go back but this particular grooming session didn't leave the best taste in my mouth. I by no means have a problem with their customer service every time I go into the store to get dog food or puppy food or anything else I am greeted with a smile by extremely pleasant people. Tomorrow at 9 am i will be in front of the doors of pet smart they were given special instructions from me as the dog owner . To cut his hair his nails and bath . When my dog came home he was completely shaved. Head to his tail . I have a golden doodle . MY DOG WAS SHAVED my girl and I literally cried seeing him. Im so disgusted of what happen . My dog didn't even get his nails cut either they charged me an hour extra 30 dollars because he had knots .I understand he had knots but he did not have it to the point they had to shave all his hair. Also when he gets home his private parts are super red super red he was hurt during his cut . If you can not cut a dogs hair the way the owner wants you to you should not cut his hair .my dogs hair will not be the same . They charged me 130 to shave my dog . If i wanted to do that i would of ordered a machine from amazon and cut the dog myself i swear. I will be at the door tomorrow and there will be a huge problem. I am very disappointed in this location from yesterday and I will be calling the manager today.. I have a micro Yorkie and she's only 3 pounds.. The claimed that they had to cut my puppy hair down because it was matted but the lady didn't even text combing it first.. so the end of shaving all my puppy hair down and it's not want I wanted.. they were suppose to trim her hair and the locations in my state never suggested cutting a puppies hair all the way down.. I even paid for a nail trim service and that wasn't to satisfactory either.. the stylist was lazy and she did not trim my puppies hair. She shaved her down.. I will never go back here.. I never had this problem in Chicago and if the girl would have looked at her profile she would have seen that she only suppose to get a puppy trim . Grooming was fast which made me happy but boy did they not do anything of what they said they would. My puppy was crazy matted from having to let his hair grow out from a horrible past grooming experience. Asked them to cut it all off as short as they could but still leave hair and as soon as I walked out I cried. They left my poor puppy looking like a hairless homeless dog. They also charged me an extra 20$ or so for apparently "great for his hair" conditioner. Lots of bs that was. The main reason I went there was for them to clean all the built up junk from his year (again, blaming past experience for that) and they told me they would. Came to pick my dog up and they said they tried and weren't able to do it. According to them they tried with a muzzle but weren't unsuccessful. Doesn't make any sense to me. None at all. Looked as if he didn't even get his ears touched. If you're looking for a basic cut and bath then I guess go here but if you're actually wanting good service then don't bother. I made an appointment a week and a half ago to bring my dog on July 30th at 9am.... my sister had to take her because I was busy... at 9:30am my sister calls me saying they won't take my dog because the appointment never existed according to the secretary... and that was my sister was basically "crazy". So when I was done doing what I had to do I went to petsmart myself and went off on the half shaved head secretary... like I was furious I got a manger and she said my appointment DID EXIST!!!! I brought my dog back at 11am she needed her ear infection checked and an X-ray... at 4:30pm the vet calls and says what does my dog need. I was furious it's been 5 hours + since I dropped her off and they hadn't seen her. I asked them to just check her ears ... I will NEVER go back here!!!! THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! I am extremely annoyed. I called this morning to see if they could squeeze my dog in. He has only been groomed at PetSmart so he isn't a new pet. I provided my name, phone number and the name of my pet. They advised me that they would call me if someone cancelled. Well, Robert calls me and says "We can squeeze him in, can you come now".. I say sure. We drop what where doing delayed some things to get him to the PetSmart right away. We get there to only be told that my dog is a "Manger Only" dog and that he cannot be seen. So, why wasn't that information provided when I called to inquire about him being squeeze in today? He was last their in November and no one every said anything about him only being seen by a manager. And guess what, their is no manger on duty day so needless to say my dog won't be getting groomed today and probably never again by a PetSmart facility. read more

So I guess that means you didn't start till 12pm so why did I have to wake up at 6am to get him there? I leave my house immediately and arrive at 2:10pm. Something changed there. Made an appt at 7 am. Bring my dog in at 7am. The person in charge, Miss Spiteful Bitch, can't find my dog's medical records. My VET sent them and called to be sure they were received 2 DAYS in a row. Finally someone finds them. Ok ready to go. I ask , how long for the grooming ?About 3 hours . I say why so long my appt is 7am I'm first. Miss SB says we have other dogs coming in. WHAT???? My dog had the 1st appt. Nope. Doesn't work like that. Ok I leave my dog and come back a little short of 3 hrs to buy something in the store. As I walk by the grooming area there are 4 females standing around drinking coffee and eating donuts. One grooming working on a dog. I hear my dog barking in a cage, I walk into the grooming area and see the party has started. Miss SB says my dog isn't ready.. I say how much longer? She says another hour. My dog is in a cage while 4 groomers are eating and drinking coffee. Miss SB says do you want your dog now? He isn't finished but you can take him . I say yes bring him out. What a mess. My instructions on the grooming were not heard. Here is my take away from the day. Fire the Head Bitch. Bring in a person that doesn't have a chip on her shoulders. I will say I asked for the manager and he handled the situation very well. I will never go back there. read more

I started bringing my dog here to the grooming department and have yet to be disappointed!! I can't vouch for all the groomers because I only take him to Vanessa. She is amazing and every time I pick him up he smells great and looks super fresh, clean, and thoroughly brushed. She has even stayed late for us twice and didn't rush the job at all. This was my first grooming experience with this local pet smart.. usually I bathe my dog myself (5 pound shitz shu) and never have any issue... I booked online for her to have a puppy bath, they're supposed to shave her paw pads, clean her ears, comb out the knots etc... a basic puppy bath, what could go wrong? Less than a week later my dog is completely matted, she didn't even smell clean as if they used a scentless shampoo.. they did not comb out the small knots, which causes so much more problems... all I can honestly say, her paw pads are shaved, and eyes cleaned... other than that I would not bring her back here. Even her butt is matted and literally has poop stuck in the hairs, (never happened before) and the knots.. they actually sent me home to comb out the knots myself... my puppies hair is not course, it's no reason why she looks like this 5 days later. It's almost impossible to cut off or comb out without me having to literally take a clipper a shave her butt area bald.. I also purchased an add on for a blueberry puppy facial and.... I didn't smell any blueberry scented anything, just the scentless shampoo that was used. It's really absolutely no reason my dog looks like this, I wish I could add pictures. read more

Went in to check out some fishes as promised for a four year old, who has been waiting for weeks to adopt a fish, and the pet tamer in the department started with 21 questions of what we had and how it's set up and what not to do. I understand that she's doing her job but she needs an attitude adjustment. She could've recommended and made suggestions in a nicer way instead of bombarding us with all that attitude. We heard her make comments like, 'I will just feel bad for the little girl when she wakes up in the morning and her fish is dead.' (Who says that?!) She already had ruined it from the time she had implied that we shouldn't buy it. A first pet experience is what we expected, instead we left upset and having to explain to our four year old why we left empty handed. The pet tamer should be trained on how to approach and advise beginner pet owners. read more
