This was the best adoption experience! You can walk in and feel how much the staff care about those in their care. They have pictures up of who was adopted during the week, and there are so many! We took our beautiful Selena home and even got a book of coupons for supplies! The staff was so sweet even just saying goodbye to her! they had some WiFi issues but it did nothing but make a fun experience joking around with them. I loved this petsmart and the Banfield inside! It was my first time bringing my dog in without any established vet care and this was just a quick checkup. The vet made me feel so happy about my pets care and gave me so much info. The vet tech was the kindest and most knowledgeable. She put me at ease with any of my worries and was sooo friendly. They made me feel like a million bucks as well as my pup. I was hesitating over coming to a Banfield because they had bad PR in the past and it seemed to corporate, but this team really met my needs and made me feel good about my dogs care. have this set up for auto ship from my local store... the most recent shipment, set up for local delivery, was canceled by the delivery, with no notice to me. Had to follow up with the store, only to find that they switched to to fedex... I was already running low on dog food when I recieved my order.. it was for 1/2 of what they charged me for!!!!!! My auto order is for 24 cans, only received 12. Contacted their customer service (email only, no chat) and Madison reached telling me that she sees a tracking for the order... I responded promptly (within 30 minutes) that I have no addional tracking information and asking her information... 24 hours w/ no response, I sent a follow up.... 8 hours later, no information... I have contested the charge with my CC company and canceling my autopship... the lack of response on a $50 charge unfulfilled is ridiculous!!!!! read more

Do not use the groomers at PetSmart 10460 Town Center Dr. Westminster, CO. My Yorkie had an appointment yesterday December 5 at 8:30 am with Kelly. I was told by the manager of the salon that Kelly was experienced at using the size 7 razor cut. Taking Ann's word I scheduled an appointment with Kelly. Well, Kelly cut a piece of my dog's ear off, not just cut it, but cut a piece off. I was told by Ann it was just a cut; she didn't tell me a piece was cut off. The vet tech (Morgan) and vet doctor who looked at my dog's ear said it was a piece cut off. I was told by the staff from Banfield Hospital that this is a recurring incident with the groomers at PetSmart. They asked me to file a complaint with the management, so I did. You know what Kat the manager said, and I quote " All our groomers are new groomers" I told her, not my problem. Kat, then said they will pay my dog's vet bills, not enough. I told her I wanted Kelly FIRED, her response was it's not that easy, really; she injured my dog, that is reason enough. I told her she is looking at a lawsuit if she didn't do anything about it. The vet technician said, now my dog will be afraid to be groomed. How many more dogs will be injured or killed before someone does anything about it. It looks like the groomer chewed my dog's ear instead of scissors, and who cuts hair like that, there was no hair left on my dog's ears. Could she not see how close she was to cutting her ear??? Looking at the groomer now, she looks like she may have a drinking problem. To top it off at 3:27 I get an email and a text saying they are canceling Bella's appointment for 12/5/2024 at 8:30 am. Trying to cover their ass that she wasn't there. Too late I have all copies of emails and text messages and it was noted by the vet tech. Plus I documented the time I was there talking to Kat the manager. My advice DO NOT use PetSmart dog grooming salon. Their groomers are not professionals. The other day my wife and kids made the mistake of stopping at this location to buy an anole for my 9 year old son. We've bought several lizards from the one in Arvada and the experience has always been great. But at this location the girl began grilling my wife about our "reptile setup", then said it wasn't right (we get most stuff from an actual reptile store and I've had lizards since I was a kid). After that she tried to upsell my wife on a bunch of products we don't need or want. When my wife declined the girl told her she wouldn't sell her a lizard!!!! Super rude afterward, as was the manager who the girl immediately ran off and told. They both told my wife and kids to "have a nice day" with smarmy smiles. So, I boarded my dog there the first time. He was 2 or 3. The only chew toys they allowed were actual antlers. He usually has a small rawhide every night. But I thought the antlers were better if they were recommending that. The antlers are expensive, but can also fracture their teeth because they are too hard. He's 10 now. Went for grooming. Waited over 20 min. To see a person. they said their computers go down when have a lot of checking. Did paperwork then by hand taking much longer. Left my dog. 3 minutes later they called me that they couldn't groom my Corgi because he tried to pick him up to put on the grooming area and tried to bite. Never but anyone before and you would think they could use a muzzle or get lessons on how to pick up a dog from the vet right next to them. The would not bath/ brush him and told me to take him home. The manager with red hair turned him away because of his age and a known but harmless condition that he has had for years. Even though his last checkup weeks ago at Banfields was fine. Beagles smell...bad. My Bailey girl was smelling pretty bad so the grooming salon really caught my eye when we were at the Banfield location in this Petsmart. We mosied on in and made an appointment with Arcelia. Fast forward a couple of days and we drop Bailey off for her spa day and a couple of hours later we are called to come pick her up. Arcelia did a fantastic job! Bailey's nails were nice and smooth and she smelled wonderful. On top of this, Bailey seemed really happy when we picked her up. Usually she is traumatized and is bummed the rest of the day. Arcelia had nothing but great things to say about Bailey and she really listened to what we were looking for. This review is based off the being a former employee at the Hotel. Don't bring your dog here. Find somewhere else. They keep the dogs out too long and they get agitated with each other which sets the stage for dog fights. Some of the people are nice, but most as a while the staff is just too young to be in charge of what they're doing. I worked previously at a hotel in another state for two years. We had maybe three big fights. In two and a half weeks there were two major fights where dogs were injured to the point of blood being drawn. Find somewhere else to bring your pet. She stood there doing this on all of her nails for a good 5 minutes. That is sorry and disgusting and I would not whatever fungal she may have getting on my dogs paws. The store itself is nice, and the regular floor associates, I have no complaints about. However, I've brought my dog to the hotel three times -- once for daycare, twice for boarding. He's not a social-with-dogs dog, so he's an individual play kind of guy. I've had pleasant conversations with some of the associates, but every time I've picked him up...I just don't get a great feeling from this PetHotel. I think part of it is the fact they've seemed to do away with PawGress reports so there's literally no communication about how his stays have gone unless I press, but our previous "home base" PetSmart, the associates couldn't get enough of my guy and weren't shy to tell me. We'd come in for just a random stroll around the store, and they'd ask if he could do daycare for the day! (I work from home, so this is never an issue). I'm not saying these associates should do the same, but I'm not feeling like they enjoy him or...maybe they're not even interacting with him. I'll probably have to find a different hotel/boarding for the remainder of our time in Colorado. read more

I came to this Petsmart for the first time to find a guinea pig to take home. the people who helped me were very kind and nice. Two things I really loved about this place was how amazingly taken care of the animals were which is very important. Also never has any other store told me about the medical history of any pet until this store did. And Guinea pigs are cheaper here than any other place I went. I spent about 78 dollars on one Guinea pig and my local petsmart but this time I was about to purchase a Guinea pig, pet cleaning wipes and two beds for the same price. The store itself and the staff members within the store are great. I do like coming to this petsmart to buy things for my dog. The store itself is a 5/5 but my 2/5 is for their grooming service. I have a Shih Tzu so he needs to be groomed frequently. This was my dog's first grooming place and right when I entered the grooming area, the staff members were gossiping and didn't help me when I'm clearly standing there and can see me. They did eventually helped but it could've been a lot more professional and polite. I've taken my dog there a couple of times and the attitude of the staff members was always the same -- it always felt unwelcoming. And every time I get my dog groomed, they only do not even half of the things. They keep saying they can't clean my dog's ears bc he was aggressive. They said they couldn't trim his face bc he was aggressive. Every time my dog would leave the salon with just a trim because they claimed he was too much of a hassle and couldn't handle him. And I still paid full price. My dog is super sweet and loving with people he's familiar with but he does have pretty bad anxiety with strangers and unfamiliar things. I took my dog to the vet once and they asked me if I've ever gotten him groomed LOL funny thing was that I literally took him to get groomed LESS than a week prior to his vet appointment and explained how the groomers at petsmart couldn't do a complete grooming bc of his behavior. I brought up about Trazodone for my dog, a tranquilizer. I hated the thought of it but he needed to get his ears cleaned during grooming or else he would get an infection and thought I would give it a try until he gets more used to grooming. In the meantime, I tried looking for a different grooming place and did a lot of research and stumbled upon Wag N Wash in Broomfield, several minutes away from this petsmart. I talked to them and explained the whole situation. And I decided to schedule my next grooming for my dog at Wag N Wash and it would be his first time on Trazodone. After going to Wag N Wash, the groomer was THE ONE for my dog. She cleaned my signs ears right away and was sooo loving and got everything done that this Petsmart grooming couldn't do. The groomer at Wag N Wash was aware of my situation about my dog and his grooming experience at Petsmart and couldn't believe they couldn't "handle" my dog. She said my dog was obviously nervous but didn't nip at her and didn't nudge during the grooming and how sweet he is. She told me to not put him on Trazodone next time. Ever since, I've stopped going to PetSmart and gone to Wag N Wash instead and never given my dog Trazodone ever again. And he gets groomed just fine and everyone at Wag N Wash loves him and treats customers absolutely amazing!! And the price is cheaper than what I paid for at PetSmart. PetSmart grooming made me think that my dog was some horrible nuisance to them when in reality, they just didn't know how to treat my dog well. And I can't believe I gave them all that money time after time when they didn't get anything done. I'm so glad I've finally found a place for my dog. If you're thinking of this place for your dog grooming, you can try it but just know there are other places near that know how to treat dogs and customers very well and know how to do their job. Please hire better staff members for grooming and make sure they actually love and know how to love animals. read more

I usually don't bother rating national chains, but... Our dogs stayed at the Petsmart Hotel here for five days. They charge extra for play time, which I think is ridiculous. If you don't pay for the half-day ($9) or full-day ($18) playtime, your dog stays in the kennel all day except for a few short walks. The fee is already $26-36 a night, more expensive than any other kennel we've used. When we checked in, one of our dogs had a split toenail, which was bleeding a tiny bit. The woman at the desk said we would have to wait for the vet to come in (two hours later) and check the nail before we could leave the dog. The bleeding had already stopped by this point, and I explained we had a plane to catch and couldn't wait that long. She said they could take the dog, but would have to come get her if the vet said so. When I again explained we were on our way to get on a plane to leave town, and would not be able to return that day if needed, she literally huffed at us. I wouldn't have minded if I hadn't JUST finished a conversation with her about how we were leaving town. She even initiated the conversation - she obviously didn't listen to a thing I said. When we picked our dogs up, they both reeked. It was so bad, I thought one of them had an accident in the car. We immediately had to give them baths when we got home, and wash their blankets and toys. It was then we noticed one of our dogs had a huge patch of fur missing on her neck. There were even scabs from the fur being yanked off. Our dogs did participate in their doggy-daycare during their visit. Thus, someone must not have been watching the dogs during play - clearly not doing their job - and our dog got hurt. For our pets' safety, we won't even use this kennel again. read more

My dog absolutely loves taking a trip to Petsmart! All the employees are friendly and you can tell they love animals. My dog likes to sniff around PetSmart giving everybody high fives and getting treats from the cashier. Good selection of food, treats, dog toys and clothes. I had a really good experience with Petsmart grooming a few weeks ago. We were throwing a sweet 16 bday party for my daughter, so naturally the puppy had to get pretty for the party, too! Brooke was our groomer that day and she took the time to get familiar with our puppy, Indie, so she wasn't scared and it made us feel comfortable leaving her in Brooke's hands. When we went to pick indie up she had the cutest teddy bear cut with little blue and white anchors on them. It was absolutely the cutest cut Indie has ever had. She's had some questionable cuts before but when my mom saw Indie she made a comment that Brooke is a keeper and she will be our go to groomer from now on. You can tell she put some love and effort into the cut. Indie smelled so much better, the hair around her face was cut even and Brooke even took the time to trim indie's long eyelashes. I usually like her eyelashes long but even after seeing them cut they still looked great. I'm glad we left the decision in Brooke's hands on what cut and style would look best because she did a phenomenal job. When I went to pick indie up I could see Brooke holding her through the window while she was working the cash register and Indie looked so naturally comfortable with her. Poor Indie has had some cuts where you could tell she didn't like it and was almost embarrassed or mad at us for taking her to get groomed. After this cut Indie was like a brand new baby girl, full of life, happy and comfortable. All in all a great experience. Brooke gets 10 stars in my book! read more

This review is based solely on my experience getting my dog groomed in the salon. I had to stray from my usual groomer, Perros y Gatos because I had to have my dog groomed that night and couldn't wait til the next day when my normal salon would reopen. They charged me the same price my groomer charges and did a really good job. They had him done in an hour and a half which was convenient. I will not stop going to my normal groomer but I will use this salon as my backup when needed. read more

I was concerned because the Northglenn store didn't have much, but this spot is an aquatic enthusiast's delight. Fewer bowls and aquariums, but a better selection of tank supplies, water conditioners, food and meds. It's also very clean! I found the supplies I needed right away at a fair price, and I felt the staff was overly chirpy but helpful and eager to help. Definitely worth the stop! read more

I adopted my 6 month old foxhound from here. This was my first stop to look for a pup. It was great!! The adoption center has kind girls, and was immediately there to assist. I had the chance to play with a variety of dogs, until i found the pup that was right for me. During playtime, I was told of the complete medical history of the dog, where she was from, why she was taken to the shelter, and how she was from another state's kill shelter, and was taken for another chance here in Colorado. I was sold! The adoption process is easy, and all the animals come microchiped. Within a half hour, I was set to take my new friend home! The process was easy, and the staff was extremely friendly. I picked up a few essentials, which was fast, and easy as well. The cashiers had some recommendations, and it was an all around excellent experience. I would highly recommend this store for adoptions, or any pet needs! read more

Do not book with groomer Danielle Q at this location!!!! I Usually bring my cocker here to get groomed every 3-4 Months and i always ask them to give him a 10 (shortest haircut possible) all over, especially on his paws. The last few times they have gotten more and more careless and I've had cut bits and pieces off, especially on his feet which isn't a big deal to me. BUT this last time was by far the worst and I won't go back! As usual I told them exactly what I wanted. One groomer (not Danielle) told me they would a poodle shave on his feet to help remove as much hair as possible. When I got him back I immediately noticed many spots they didn't even touch and I told them to correct it so they did. Then I got home and noticed how red and irritated the top of his feet looked. This was done on Friday, today's Wednesday and his front paws are still irritated and they've been really bothering him! Also he still has long hair between his toes and underneath his paws so the so called "poodle cut" did more harm then good. My poor baby's been miserable. I don't know if this groomer was new, it certainly looked that way but while no groomer has ever been fantastic there, it was usually good enough. I'm not picky and would never take the time to write a review but when it comes to our furry babies this worth my time and energy to let everyone else know! Very nice manager. I think her name was Stacy. She helped calm me after a traumatic turn of events with my 8 year old Schnauzer. The groomers are nice, but they said my 9 month old was too frightened to be fully groomed, so they wanted to ease her in with a bath, and paw/face/butt trim... only problem is that her gace didn't get trimmed at all and they didn't shave her butt... We boarded our small dog at the PetsHotel for a week and had her groomed afterward. The lobby reminded us of a very nice holes lobby for humans. The check in process was a bit cumbersome and we had to provide evidence of vaccinations (I understand this is for the dog's protection) but overall it was fine. It was very clean and the people were nice. When we picked her up she was fresh from the grooming looking and smelling clean. Our dog has always had itching issues after a bath even with hypo-allergic shampoo but this time no itching at all! I called to ask what they used and found out it was "face shampoo" which must be very mild. Itching problem solved......hooray! My only complaint is that there was an extra charge to give her a Chondritin tablet every day. They consider it medicine even though no prescription is needed. I understand extra charges for play time or day care but that struck me as a bit much. Anyway, all things considered, we'll use them again and our dog seemed to enjoy herself there. She wasn't anxious to leave and "said goodbye" to the staff as we left. read more

Today, at Petsmart in Westminster Colorado, I arrived 30 minutes early for my cat's grooming appointment. When I arrive "Sandi", the cat groomer, was assisting another lady, so another employee asked me for my name and cat's name. After reading my name out loud, "Sandi", turned from her own customer to say to me that I was early and that was not allowed. I explained that we had explained during booking the appointment that we would need to drop off the cat by 4 pm for a 430 pm appointment, and that would be ok. So, she rudely told me they did not allow cats to wait. I again explained either I was leaving her there to wait for now, 20 minutes til her appointment time or I would leave and we would cancel the appointment. I had a work call to do at 4:30 so I could not wait with her. "Sandi" was not happy about my explination and said she may have to call me to come back if the cat would not cooperate with her. I was worried at this point but my cat is a persian and really needed to be groomed and shaved because our puppy had licked her, causing mats all over her fur. At 5:40 pm, almost 2 hours after our cat was checked in, "Sandi" called my husband to say that the cat was uncontrollable and she was unable to do the service. I arrived at the store and a very friendly clerk assisted be with going to the grooming office to get me cat, because I was worried that "Sandi" would cause more of a confrontation,at this point. Upon entering, she was almost finished grooming another cat, and mine was still not in her kennel but in the back, somehwere else. Her kennel was on the counter where the clerk and I were standing. "Sandi" then went to get my cat and came back to reveal my cat had been partially shaved and slumps of hair left hanging from her body. The cat was in her arms, not seeming uncontrollable at all. ( My cat is very sweet and at the most 4 lbs, without a mean bone in her body ) I have pictures of the cat and the clumps of hair missing and hanging from her body, and of the hair hacked off in other areas. "Sandi" then began to argue with me and very very rude, interrupting me and being disrespectful. We argued as I was not leaving without saying how I felt about being treated this way and having my cat so stressed out for nothing, except the WORST GROOMING EVER. I had the worst customer service experience of my life because of her. She is a very mean, rude lady and I will be posting reviews about her specifically in any site I can find, so that no one else is treated the way I was treated today. I have been a PetSmart Customer for years and because of her, I will not be returning to PetSmart while she is employed within any departments. My cat is stressed out, looks like hell, has part of her body shaved, part of her hair hacked off and I had to take half a day off of work to be able to even take her to this appointment. I am appalled at the entire experience and I would like someone to contact me about this issue, please. I do have photos I can send, as I did not see a link to add them to this message. On a side note, the clerk who helped me when this was going on ( a younger girl with long blonde hair) was very sweet and very professional in how she dealt with me and also with "Sandi".
