My experience at petsuites is strictly daycare, but my dog loves to come here for day play. Yes, it's expensive, and they will charge you for anything extra. However, obviously daycare for your pet is a luxury! It's easy to schedule, drop off, and pick up your pet. The front desk can be slow moving if they're busy, but the staff is always very kind to my dog. I appreciate being able to watch my dog play through the live cameras. I have caught lots of cute moments of my dog playing and interacting with staff members. Including one of the employees picking him up and rocking him like a baby!!! LOL! So, yeah, it makes sense why he always wants to go back!!! read more

I love that they opened a pet suites close to me. My dog loves going to daycare. She plays all day. When I pick her up, she's so tired. She starts snoring as soon as we take off. They have a kiddie pool and she sometimes leaves still wet since she loves water. It beats her being at home all day without any interaction. They have good prices and discounts for military and first responders. They do also have training and boarding. I did one of their free training sessions and really liked the trainer. We boarded our dog here. For the most part we thought it was okay. Our dog came back with a raw red sore. The only thing I could think of is maybe they cleaned his kennel and was wet with cleaner and possibly irritated his skin. I never had that happen any other place or time. My poor baby! First time taking my mini golden doodle, Yoni, to get groomed on 8/28/2024. The groomer did not come out and meet me but instead called 2 minutes after I left to ask me what kind of cut I wanted for my little one. I expressed my frustration as this was my first time coming to this establishment and it would not be easy to explain over the phone. When I asked her if she had seen Yoni, she responded, "not yet". Not sure if the groomer was already having a bad day but she told me she would have to refuse service if I continued to give her attitude (again, I was frustrated with the process, not the groomer). I promptly picked up Yoni after that. It's unfortunate as I live 3 mins away from this establishment but now have to travel farther to find a groomer. The team here is so kind and communicative. They made me feel at ease dropping my 4 month old doodle off. She was in puppy preschool and they introduced her to another puppy in a very safe manner as she's a little timid. When I picked her up she was in good spirits and wasn't stinky!! PetSuites did a great job with my 1 year old black lab. He is not fixed so he is unable to do the group play, which I knew a head of time, so I payed for him to have an extra potty break/walk. Customer service is very good! With the package I purchased I received a photo once a day while we were gone also! We got one of the "luxury suites" so he had a bit more space, we were happy with his stay. read more

I was very disappointed in petsuites. The building itself is new so it is very clean and inviting. I felt confident that I could trust my pup in their care. But I was mistaken, my pup came back skinny to the point where I could visibly see the outline of her ribs and her toys were played with by other dogs. I understand they can't force a dog to eat, but I feel they should have informed me during her boarding that she wasn't eating. But no, I didn't receive any update or notice during or after her boarding. This starts to make me doubt if they even played with her or gave her enough to eat during her stay. Even when I picked her up I didn't receive any word on how she did or how she wasn't eating. I also believe they are very understaffed because every time I went to the front desk there was no on there. It seems they take in too many dogs for them to handle. I understand things happen but I feel they should've communicated more on the issues at hand. Definitely not sending my pup back their for boarding again. read more

PetSuites Westover Hills exceeded our expectations. We had a last minute event come up where we needed to drop off our dog for a few hours while juggling work and other life events. Not only did PetSuites accept our fur baby with short notice, they shared that he first play day was free!! I was so impressed with this policy and their evaluation and handling of our Shih Tzu. He's a bit spicy and anti-social and shows fear aggression. The establishment understood his personality, was patient and allowed him to warm up to them vs immediately turning him away. We picked him up 8 hours later and he seemed happy and exhausted from the day activities. I have two more services scheduled for grooming and boarding this weekend. Thank you PetSuites!! read more

*Disclaimer: this post is going to be long. Bear with me, please. * Over Labor Day weekend, I boarded my dog at PetSuites Westover Hills in San Antonio, TX. I have boarded her there many times before with no issue, and expected this time to be the same. She was picked up by my husband, around 10:30 am Tuesday, while I was working. Strike # 1 was when he realized she was limping a couple hours after picking her up. After some investigation, he noticed they had trimmed two of her nails too short during her bath that morning, immediately prior to pick up. He let me know about this right away, and on my way home from work I called PetSuites and made them aware of her nails being trimmed to short. Strike # 2 was when I arrived home from work Tuesday evening around 5:30 pm, I was loving on my dog and noticed a bleeding wound on her neck. I immediately took a picture and sent it to PetSuites. They denied knowledge of the wound or it's source at that time (we suspected a dog bite) and offered to call me in a week to check on her. The next day, Wednesday, I came home from work and noticed two more wounds, one on each of her jowls. I was frustrated, but cleaned her wounds and carried on about my evening per usual. Thursday morning, I woke up to a literal bloody mess of a dog and decided I'd had enough. I took her to the Vet straight away. After dropping her off, I spoke to the manager at PetSuites who expressed relief that I had decided to take her to the Vet, yet still denied any knowledge of the wounds existing or their source. My dog was at the vet from 8 am to 2 pm. During her visit, they had to sedate her, shave each of her cheeks, the top of her head, and her neck, scrape & clean her wounds, and administer medications by injection, by mouth, and topically. She left the vet with a diagnosis of a severe skin reaction, a cone on her head for 14-21 days, two prescriptions for pills (one temporary, one for good) and a prescription for a topical spray. I specifically asked if this could be caused by what was used to bathe her, the pools the dogs play in, or stress & anxiety, and the answer was yes to all of the above especially if she was not being adequately dried after playing in the pool. When I informed the vet of where my dog was boarded, they informed me that this is the third dog in several weeks they have treated for something from the same facility, and the second dog they have treated recently for a similar problem as my dog. I spoke to PetSuites immediately after picking her up from the vet. They requested I send them a copy of my invoice for them to review so they could "see what they can do." Friday afternoon, I received a call from PetSuites informing me that they will be compensating me for the exam fee and the nursing fee which equates to $109 of my $1291 vet bill, never mind the fact that her stay with them cost $313. On a much more positive note, huge thanks to Ellison Veterinary Hospital, because Olive is nearly back to 100%. I would like to start off by saying pet suites is a really nice place and is very inviting, but upon picking up my dog he was very timid like he was traumatized. When I went to put my dog in the car he let out a loud screech which found out he did that, because he got a chemical burn on his testicles. When we informed the employees at pet suites they tried to say they never saw it when it's pretty obvious. When we later got our dog looked at by the vet and called the manager she said they have had some dogs that have gotten it before, which you think they would change their cleaning solution. If you have a dog that has allergies or sensitive skin i would not recommend taking your dog here. read more

I would never recommend this facility. I boarded my 8 month old puppy, and he came home soaked in urine and something else that was white and sticky. He didn't act like the same dog. After a visit to the vet and an RX for anti-anxiety medication he rested, and he was better the following day. He was neutered yesterday, and he was less stressed and more active and normal than when we picked him up from Pet Suites. What do they do to animals to make a surgical procedure more pleasant than a stay there.? read more

Very disappointed in this place. I saw the reviews and thought this would be a great place for my doggo to stay while I was out of town. He stayed for 3 nights (Friday-Sunday). He was dropped off and picked up promptly at the designated times. On Friday morning when he was dropped off, staff were friendly and patient as he was ushered to the back where the suites are located. That is the only positive thing I can say about this place. Received a texted on Saturday that he has ran out of food. I immediately call to say, that no, that is impossible. He was dropped off with an unopened bag of food that would last him for 4-5 days, well past his stay there. I inform them of brand and that it is labeled with his name and with directions of feeding. Staff search for food and lo' and behold, they find it. Was aaaaalllllll the way back in the refrigerator. Oh ok. Well, as this point I'm concerned if he was fed the day before if they couldn't properly store and communicate where his food is located. No communication of how he is doing throughout the stay (they have no cameras available to check up on pets, oh but they are working on). When I pick up my dog, I am told that he had an accident on his bed and they are washing his bed and blanket. WTF!?!?!?... My dog has been boarded at 3 other places and has NEVER had an accident. He is well trained and only in EXTREME circumstances has he pottyed inside, and has never in his bed. What the hell happened? Was he even taken out of his suite? Was he able to exercise outside? I requested a one-on-one time since he is shy and skittish with other dogs. Unfortunately I did not ask the appropriate questions. He was SO READY to leave that place. He would of ran out with out me if he wasn't on a leash. And the kicker is, his food is nowhere to be found. First they tell me that he must of finished it. No, I said, it was an unopened bag that lasts 4-5 days, I was expecting to get the remainder for the rest of the week. Again the staff go on a search. Several times they go and come back to ask questions or provide alternative food. They showed me a bag of the same dog food brand but it was not ours. So, bottom line, I will never take my dog to this place. I was able to take my dogs bed with me when I checked out, but they assured me they would call me when the blanket was ready to pick up. After hours of waiting, I just sent my son to go get it. I was able to get a full refund for this hot mess, but I will never trust them with my dog. He was scared and wanted to get the hell outta there. Something he's never done at the other places. read more

I have been taking my Above average Pyrenees, Martin, to Petsuits westover hills for a few months now for day play or day boarding. He has spent one overnight visit in the luxury suites. I love how they handle Martin as some days he is anti social and they will let him have alone time and then put him back to play with the group. He is going to have a 8 night stay there during a summer vacation, and I am very confident in the staff that Martin will be treated very well. All of the staff I have encountered are super friendly, Knowledgeable and accommodating. read more

I was so nervous about sending my pup to doggy daycare because we've had some bad experiences with dog parks and other dogs being aggressive, but that was NOT the case with PetSuites! My pup was so happy to be there and he loved going back! I feel so confident in leaving him there, the staff is very friendly and helpful, I'd recommend this place over the other few facilities we've toured.
