The lines were a blast and the scenery was second to none! I've been to Newfoundland a ton but never got to do something like this here. Would definitely recommend this for a couple of hours of fun. 10 lines over 2 hours. 1 was about a kilometer in length. Plus you can order lunch that'll be there when you get back. Definitely do it!

Underrated by locals, this…read moresprawling green space includes a huge duck pond, multiple bridges, forest-covered trails, huge moose statues, community pool, water park, playground...and presumably even more since we stopped before making it the whole way through. Among the highlights were a statue reportedly (but unconfirmed) of Peter Pan and a historic fountain for horses so that you can keep your steed hydrated while trotting through. Your bugs, and fish and plants were our playground . Growing up you were the pond down the street - where we hung out in the summer and skated on in the winter. Passed through a million times going here and there over the years. You grew up too; lots of changes, starting with the walking trail. These days you are part of a network of walking trails through the city. Then you got into golf and like most - your interest in golf has been long-standing and varied: driving range, putting greens and now today - mini golf! Lots of wildlife here too. Parking just off of McDonald Drive.

Good for those evenings after work when you need to clear your head or get your legs moving after eating a big meal. When I've walked around here I've noticed other locals that do the same. On my walk there were no notice of bugs and I made my way around and back before dark. I believe it's important that city's make trails around nature where possible as it encourages exercise and activity that is necessary in our busy lives!

Everyone's favourite beach. Pebbles, not sand. A river runs through it…read more In the Winter, the ice flows can pack up along the beach. Panning is an occasional past time of testosterone fueled youth. Not my cup of tea really - makes me nervous to even think about it. Hey buddy, you know ice is slippery right? Late Spring or Early Summer you can visit the beach to collect caplin, which come to the beach to spawn. You can basically pick them up off the shore. The caplin are chased by the whales and other marine creatures, who come to feed on the fish. The whales are followed by the icebergs, which as a child had me wondering if icebergs ate whales. Now I'm older and wiser and know that the only thing that icebergs eat, is boats. On Summer evenings it fills with groups of people looking for relaxation. They thought him a fool, a judgment borne out a few days later when he ran his ship aground and drowned. Gayle and I visited Harbourside Park during a Sunday walk on a atypical cool and foggy June day. We specifically stopped to admire the bronze Newfoundland and Labrador dog statues. But we stayed for the Harbour (and Narrows) vantage points to see the ship traffic or lack of depending on timing. This park is also across the street from the very interesting National War Memorial.

The storyline for Atlantis was well crafted and entertaining. Truthfully we missed a couple of really obvious clues, but at other times we truly needed a bit of help to move forward. We've played at many places and this was the first time when a staff member came into the room each time you buzzed for a clue; we were accustomed to someone speaking through a screen or intercom!
