Wow I'm so glad Pezza Farm is still around. I literally used to come here when I was little. I am now 33- and I took my four-year-old niece here so we could build a scarecrow like I used to with my aunt. The employees are pleasant. The prices are great. You can build a scarecrow- they offer clothes or you can bring your own. The price was really good. And the experience was even better. You sit in all the hay- you're given instructions on how to build him/her and then you make memories. Once you are all done, an employee puts your scarecrow together for you. And then you can draw the face. It's exactly the same process from when I was little and It brought back so many memories. They also have a small farm in the back . You pay for food and then you can see the chickens the horse, the goats and a few other animals. Also, during the weekend you can do pumpkin picking and go on a hayride. If you haven't been here, this is for sure a hidden jam that's been around for an extremely long time. My niece enjoyed her time and our scarecrow is so cute. read more

I have been buying my vegetable plants, fruit trees and vegetables for canning from the Pezza family for over 30 years. The quality is always second to none and the prices cannot be beat. I love to go in there to just walk around the green house and take in the smells of spring when it is not quite here yet. This is the best place to take your children to get a closer look at where are food comes from, feed the animals in a safe environment for both animal and child. I took my children their when they were young and not so young, and we always had a blast. If you have not yet been here, you are missing one of the best experiences a family could have together on a sunny or not so sunny day. Went to a birthday party at Pezza farm yesterday. As we pulled in the lot was packed... but private party parking in the rear! Great idea Pezza! Made life so much easier. The party was held in it's own 'greenhouse.' We had the whole space to ourselves! In the rear were hay bails... the kids jumped all over them and kept themselves occupied. There were plenty of tables and chairs. Time for the hayride... not your regular hayride. We passed some cows. They started following us... picking up speed! We stopped and we were surrounded. The driver gave us a basket of old corn to feed the cows! How cool is that?! The kids got a big kick out of this. Cow tongues! There were plenty of cows and plenty of corn! Then we went to a small spot of land that that had pumpkins out for our choosing. Later when we returned the farm left a jug of pellets and a bag of veggies to feed the animals! There were lots of chickens, a few turkeys, a couple horses, one donkey and some goats. The kids again loved feeding the animals... just beware one of the horses was a little reckless with feeding! Right outside the animal area is a little play station for the little ones. A sandbox with a bunch of trucks and little vehicles the kids can sit in. And two little structures to play on. Overall... a really nice place to have a fall birthday! read more

A great place to bring the kiddies for a small bit. Not sprawling by any means and they do come find you if you pass the "employees only" boundaries they have posted. It's understandable from an insurance liability purpose but I still got my damn pic with the kid in front of the giant tractor tire! They have a make a Scarecrow area which is awesome. Basically a large area with clean and fresh hay everywhere. Bring your own clothes to stuff and it's 15$ use their provided clothes and it's 19$. We went with the 19$ option as it's very cost effective and the result is great! read more

This place is great love all the dogs especially the brindle pup. My 2 year old loves feeding the donkeys, chickens, horses and goats. It's a 1.00 per person with the feed included which is a great deal. They have a cute little play area for the kids with a sand pit and trucks. The pumpkins are pretty big but also have cute small ones for the kids. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Love the atmosphere here. Was sad they took the dogs away when the baby was playing with them though kid of thought that was rude so that why they didn't get 5 stars. Loves the giant carrots and tomatoes. As a native Floridian, and a recent (somewhat) transplant to New England, I was thrilled to finally get the opportunity to "pick my own" farm fresh Christmas tree. Ok, so we didn't exactly go frolicking through the forest, axe in hand, to go chop down a tree like a lumber jack. We did, however, have a great experience picking out an already chopped down fir that was given a "clean cut" and strapped to the hood of my car by a really friendly dude with a saw. Oh yeah! There was a pony! A really awesome, friendly pony who may or may not try to eat your arm off. There were also chickens, a really vocal goat, and possibly some other barn yard friends wandering around in the barn. Not only did they have Christmas trees (and nice ones at that, no Charlie Brown's at this farm) but they also had wreaths, holly plants, cute ornaments and many other holiday items that you can peruse while you wait for your tree to be cut down to your liking. The trees are around 40$ for the orange tagged trees and 60$ for the pink tagged (not quite sure what the difference is, but we found a really nice one for the cheaper price). I had an absolutely fab experience and highly recommend Pezza farm for all your holiday needs. I will gladly go back in the future and can't wait to purchase other items that they sell such as honey and honey, and to visit the friendly pony. read more

We went to this farm because I promised my son a trip to the farm to pet some animals. Upon arrival, the woman working inside was talking loudly on the phone and seemed annoyed with us being there. She even hovered like we were doing something wrong when we were petting the animals (and the only animals to pet were a handful of goats). She spoke very short and rudely. A woman in the greenhouse was very nice and pleasant. We took a look around the store and picked out some jam to try. When we got in the car, I wanted to check it out and see the consistency/smell it, you know? We were excited to try it! The jam was moldy. Rather than return it and deal with the lady inside again, we took the 5 dollar loss and disposed of it. Not a good experience. I wish we went somewhere else. read more

Love this farm! It's been way to long since I've been to an actual farm, probably grade school that I couldn't help but feel like a kid again; "ooh-ing and aww-ing" at all the cute farm animals you see the moment you enter this place, little chickens freely roaming around, goats, ducks, lambs, and more to see once you get a chance to get on the hayride and feed the livestock. With that said it was only $6 for the hayride, pick-your-own pumpkin. (I want to say feeding the animals was also included w/ that, but I can't remember... They did give us 2 separate tickets). In any case, definitely an inexpensive and fun activity for a group of friends or the kids. Do have to mention that once we made it to the pumpkin patch the findings were a little scare, with a lot more baby pumpkins available. I came with a small group of friends and we had planned on doing a pumpkin carving contest and with the smaller sized pumpkins we did just fine w/. We also ended up purchasing a much bigger size one for $13, so not too shabby. I figured the farm had been pretty busy the first few months of Oct., not really a big deal because we all ended up finding something nice. Staff were friendly, animals were friendly- with the positive experience that day, I would definitely come back to Peeza Farm again! :) read more

This is a great place to bring your kids to and pick out local vegetables. I wish I could give Pezza Farm a great rating because the staff is extremely kind but all of their flowers, succulents everything is infested with spider mites and aphids. The first time I went, I purchased several different succulent plants to create beautiful terrariums for my apartment. Terrariums require time, patience, creativity and expensive materials such as decorative rocks and charcoal rocks. Four days after I planted the terrariums I noticed all of my hard work was ruined!! I had aphids flying around in my kitchen cabinets, infesting the fruit on my counters and ALL the plants in my apartment. The aphids were embedded in my succulent's leaves, I was in tears. Yesterday I tried going back and explained to the owner what happened; she apologized and promised the succulents I picked out were free of pests. Unfortunately, the moment I took the plants out of the containers, hundreds of aphids and spider mites crawled out. They need to change the fertilizer that they use or something... be forewarned! read more

Pezza is hands down one of my favorite farms on the Plainfield Pike stretch. Their active and engaging livestock seem to know if they act cute you will buy an ice cream cone of feed and treat them to some grub. There are goats, miniature ponies, and chickens roaming about. The farm produce itself is always great at Pezza- Summertime brings a nice variety of tomatoes and chile peppers. Farmers/ employees are friendly and full of information. A great stop on a day in the country side. read more

I absolutely love this place. Since moving to Rhode Island I've been getting most of my vegetables eggs and local honey from here. The vegetables are extremely tasty and fresh. They have a great selection. The eggs were also very good. Have any leftover egg cartons? Take them with you as the reuse egg cartons. I also drop off plastic bags, glass and plastic jars to them. Reuse, recycle, renew! The place is huge. They offer all sort of activities for families and kids. Family run and operated. Great friendly people! read more

We've had three birthday parties here for kids under 6 and they were all wonderful. For a reasonable fee, you get an entire greenhouse (which would probably fit 100 people if you want to pack 'em in). One end of the greenhouse has tables and chairs provided, and the other has a giant hay covered space, bordered by hay bales, which is great for the kids to jump around in. There's a hayride, with a stop to feed cows and another to pick pumpkins and then a giant bucket of feed so the kids can hand it out to the goats and pigs and other animals at the petting zoo. Also, there is ample fridge and freezer space to store any goodies that need to stay cold and the staff is always there to help out. read more
