He had been offering a free patio demolition during the holidays, and since no one had claimed it, he generously applied what he would have spent on that, toward the work we needed. Jose and his crew were professional and worked hard. They took every precaution to protect our lawn, and the surrounding trees. They worked for 4-5 hours the first day and returned for another 4 hours to complete the job and ensure the job was done right. When I offered to pay for the additional time, Jose graciously refused. There was a bit of a wait to start including our city building department which was backed up. Once underway Dylan was an absolute pleasure to work with. He devoted all his energy to making it (a messy job) as seamless as possible. He worked diligently and efficiently to complete the job in a timely manner. When we asked him how much it would be to expand the scope of work by tearing out the surrounding hardscape and concrete patio, as well as an 8' high wood fence, he quoted us a very fair price and we proceeded. It was a complex job doing the demo around the existing posts of the patio cover which we wanted to keep. When the job proved more complicated due to the extra thick reinforced slab I offered to pay extra due to the amount of debris and extra work it took. He told me that it wasn't necessary, and honored his quote. Additionally, he took care of the coordination with the city and the soils engineer. As homeowners, having never gone through this process, we appreciated his experience and taking it off our hands. We easily passed final inspection :) You cannot go wrong with Casper's Demolition! I just wanted to mention some highlights of working with LAP Demolition: 1) Luis came out the same day I called him to give me a quote and sent me the estimate right when he said he would. 2) The quote was significantly cheaper than any of the other quotes we had gotten, and the quote was written very clearly so we could see exactly what we were paying for. 3) Luis was very helpful and friendly and pointed out helpful details, such as suggesting we leave the support boards on the house until we could get stucco work to repair the exterior. He was also very flexible about the date of the demo as we wanted to schedule it for two weeks out, rather than doing it immediately. 4) Luis and his crew arrived right on time the day of and completed everything within about 4.5 hours. Hector or "Junior" worked on my residential driveway expansion and block wall project in September…read more2020. Junior arrived onsite 15 minutes before scheduled and was offloaded in mere minutes ready to work. His youthful appearance is deceiving because he possesses skills and talents far beyond his boyish looks. That's because Juniors dad was teaching Hector how to operate excavators and bobcats when other boys of his age were playing LEGOs. I was initially a bit nervous watching Junior tear out my concrete driveway and vegetation. But after a few minutes, I quickly realized that I was in the presence of a journeyman equipment operator. Junior is the real deal. The only things he lacked were years of facial wrinkles and a fat cigar in the mouth. Given today's entitlement mentality, it's refreshing to work with Junior. He has a very strong work ethic, thanks to his father. Courteous, quiefriendly, attentive, communicative, and efficient are some of the attributes I observed about Junior. And he worked very "clean". In the future, I plan to hire Junior for my backyard remodel and house expansion projects. Junior, if you're reading this, you need to tell your dad "thank you". Be thankful that you have a dad who cares and passed onto you the skills you possess today.
