    PG Clucks on Queen St.

The chicken sandwiches are amazing! This place is a hidden Toronto gem. If you're looking for one of the best chicken sandwiches in the GTA--say no more. This arguably is one of the top. The place itself is small, so look to eat at their small standing bar or take your food to go. The service is quick and the staff are nice. They took the time to recommend what the most popular items are and got my food out in 10 minutes before close.

Junior Chicken Sandwich $6.50 Cole Slaw $3

Looking for something that's easy to eat in the ca Tried out PG CLUCKS located on Queen & Ossington. With lockdown which means eating lunch in my car. Finding food that's easy to eat and to messy can be a challenge. PG's Junior chicken hit the spot! As a light eater this smaller sized sandwich was the perfect size for me and such a deal at $6.50. The chicken was moist and juicy and I enjoyed the spicy mayo on a soft brioche. I also ordered a side of Cole Slaw. I prefer a slaw that's a bit on the creamy side. But this one was a bit too watery for me. And at $3 for such a small portion ... I would not order this one again. However.... I will go back for that Chicken Sandwich!!

In the back when you can see one of the potato salad. Oh my gosh that potato salad is so yummy.

Every time I'm in the area, I have to order from them. So delicious. I usually get the chicken and the potato salad. OK, can we talk about the potato salad for a minute. It is so fantastic. It has little mustard seeds throughout and it just adds a pop of flavour both literally and deliciously. I often order them through Uber Eats, but I've also dropped in to find that they are just lovely people providing, friendly and kind service. And I found their location to be immaculately, clean and well tended.

    Jalapeño and Honey Sandwich

A messy chicken sandwich, you know it's gonna be good. PG Clucks is a chicken spot that has been on my list to try out fro quite some time. Passing by Queen St Multiple times, I was interested in the simplistic design and color scheme of the restaurant. Didn't hear much about the spot other than a handful of mentions on social media about it being a top tier chicken sandwich in the city. Finally had the chance to stop by one evening and try it, and here's my experience. Upon entry, PG Clucks on Queen St is very simplistic, an open concept take out spot. Menu ok the wall, drinks in a fridge, with the cashier and kitchen behind them. The employee here the day we visited was very welcoming and chatted with us about possible options to order, didn't catch his name but he was incredibly hospitable. For my order, I went with the Jalapeno and Honey Chicken sandwich with a side of their pasta salad. Starting with the side, the pasta salad had a lot of mayo content but I did very much enjoy the flavour. The added hotness to the salad makes it enjoyable and much more memorable that pasta salads I've had at other spots. As for the sandwich, I loved it. I devoured the sandwich in record time and thankfully didn't spill any of the overflowing sauce onto myself. I really want to come back here and try the other sandwich options, as this one was so good. It had a really good balance of sweet and spicy, the jalapeño's acidic and spicy taste is felt upon bite, but as you continue chewing the sweetness of the honey is the after taste that is left. PG Clucks is a great quick option for a good chicken sandwich, but with multiple spots in the area that can compete it's hard to say if this is the best. I do believe that this sandwich is very good and implore you to try it if you are interested.

    Honey Jalapeño Chicken Sandwich

I've only tried one sandwich from here but I was so impressed by it, I had to write a review. The honey jalapeño chicken sandwich was amazing! There was so much sauce on there and the chicken was very well seasoned. For this to be a 5 star review, I'd like for the chicken to be even crunchier and have coleslaw on the sandwich for a fresh contrast. I'm looking forward to trying the other menu items. I'd HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try, it's the best chicken sandwich I've had in Canada!

    Big cluck at first glance

Unbelievably massive portions - best bang for your buck if you wanted a fried chicken sandwich. I ordered the big cluck which came with two pieces drenched with mayo which was a bit too much for me but it was tasty! Extremely filling, would've loved to try the classic sandwich (one piece) with the spicy option - worth a try!

I had such an amazing time here. There's no actual indoor seating arrangements, aside from a few stools. There are however, some tables set up outside which is shared with the other restos. Honestly speaking, the staff was extremely welcoming and I haven't experienced that in so long. The person taking out order was kind, funny and friendly. He helped us choose our orders (I went with my husband). He greeted us and said goodbye with such love and kindness, it was great. We really enjoyed the food as well and will definitely go back. We've recommended it to friends as well and they all had a great experience. We had a burger and poutine and really enjoyed it.

Traveling to to Toronto is always a culinary fun time.. so many choices! I decided to search out the best chicken Sammy in the city. PG Clucks hit the mark, not only is it the best tasting the prices are reasonable for what you get. I ordered the the classic... big piece of fresh chicken, coleslaw with hot sauce on the side. Awesome! At 11 dollars size and quality verse price is spot on. You could order the big cluck at 13.25 and get 2 chicken pieces but that would be pure gluttony... hmm next time it was 11 pm. Service was good and the wait was only 15 min .. they are cooking it fresh! Highly recommended can't wait to go back. Chick-Fil-A who?

I popped in, sat at the counter, and was greeted immediately by a pleasant woman who took my "to go" order and told me the sandwich would be ready in just a few. While I was waiting, she kindly asked if I needed anything to drink. I declined. Shortly after I took home perhaps the best cubano sandwich I ever had. The warm sandwich had a perfect balance of ingredients. The Cuban bread with a thin crispy crust and soft inside made for a perfect mouth-feel. Absent was globs of mayo and mustard, flavors that often override the real stars of the show, the roast pork and ham. In it's place was a light dressing that complemented the meats perfectly. I've had Cubano sandwichs in Miami and NYC. The Cubano served up at LaCubana is as good, if not better. The only shortcoming: malta (a non- alcoholic malt beverage, popular in Puerto Rico and Cuba) wasn't available.

I got 3 sandwiches for me and my family (4 people including me). What we ordered: Mona Lisa: 8/10 For both of the sandwiches the bread was very fresh and delicious! They make them fresh for each order and you can taste the quality. The flavours in the Mona Lisa worked really well together, I loved the truffle cream and burrata. Torino: 7/10 This sandwich was also good, but the I felt like it was lacking something, especially compared to the mona lisa. The spicy eggplant just tasted like plain pickled eggplant and wasn't that spicy. I feel like both sandwiches were a bit salty due to the prosciutto, and were missing some sweet or acidic element. I added some balsamic glaze and hot honey at home which was great! The portion sizes are HUGE, the 4 of us were quite full after splitting the 3.

Return I did on a recent Saturday and we showed up just as they were opening up for the day, which meant we were able to snag one of the two outdoor tables available. It's a small menu, so ordering the Pastrami sandwich was a no-brainer. We also grabbed a small order of the Coleslaw to try. The food was ready to go within minutes. It's a great sandwich. The meat is super tender and perfectly complemented by the fresh bread and tasty mustard. Do I wish the spicing on the meat were a little more prominent? Yes, definitely, but it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the 'wich. The coleslaw is great, too. I'll surely be returning very soon.

It's a take out deli sandwich shop focusing on quality ingredients with a multitude of sides you can choose from. Other than their sandwiches, you can also purchase deli items like pastrami spice, beef salami, or half sour pickles. I've been waiting for Linny's Luncheonette to open since last year! When I dined at Linny's in Dec 2024, the waiters had hinted that there would be sandwich shop next door. I arrived at Linny's Luncheonette around 11:30am on their opening day (May 9th). The place was busy with customers coming in, however, the service was fast and efficient as chef David Schwartz stood by to make sure everything was running smoothy on the first day. In terms of the decor, think deli retro vibes! The interior is cute with bright orange countertops and a mirror on one side of place to make the space appear bigger. There are a variety of random candies and chips on display you can also purchase. The menu consists of sandwiches - pastrami, potato and pickle and smoked fish, as well as sides (knish, coleslaw, potato salad, karnatzel, cookie). I ordered a pastrami sandwich and a small side of potato salad. My order was made at a reasonable time (less than 5 min) and service was friendly. There isn't any seating inside the restaurant but there are a few chairs outside and 2 small tables. The great thing is that Linny's Luncheonette is located along Ossington so it isn't hard to find a table close by the place. I decided to head to the park to eat my sandwich. Foodwise...the pastrami sandwich was deliciously amazing. I loved the pastrami at Linny's so I knew that Linny's Luncheonette would be the same. The pastrami had the perfect meat to fat ratio...which made it oh so tender and juicy! I am not a huge fan of pastrami to begin with but...I would come back for this sandwich again and again again. Anyways...back to sandwich, the bread held the meat together well where there was a hint of mustard spread as you took each bite. I got sad when I reached my last bite. The potato salad was also great, not too creamy with sizeable chunks of potato. Overall, a great new addition to the Ossington strip! The pastrami sandwich is a must get here!! Can't wait to return for more in the future! (tip - go early as they can sell out)

And it pains me to write this review about the bad quality of their entrees. I've been to Naomi twice. The first time I bought the Salmon bibimbap and the second time I bought the Chicken teriyaki. The pictures looked really really good so I opted for them, but both dishes were disgusting. I was really thrown off by how quickly they were able to prepare both dishes. Under 5 minutes?!?! It seemed almost too good to be true. When I opened the container and took the first bite of the meat, I fully understood why. Naomi uses canned meats. For some people, this is okay, but I really could not stand how "plastic" the chicken felt. The meats weren't even seasoned, rather covered in mediocre sauces. The teriyaki sauce wasn't even teriyaki sauce... it was a transluscent orange with a syrupy consistency. The bibimbap was also poorly done. There was no sunny side up egg, and the only veggies consisted of bland bean sprouts, overcooked carrots, and boiled spinach. Although, the "gochujang" sauce was not bad. However, my friends have all claimed that Naomi's sandwiches are extremely tasty, but after my two bad experiences, I'm probably not going to come back. TLDR: don't get any entrees. Stick with the cafe classics.
