So I figured I'd try Scott because he was recommended by a neighbor, and I was shocked at how cheap the prices were and still are! My hair... might as well have been making scissor sounds with your mouth because it basically was not cut... except for hard lines by side burns and neckline. The hair is somewhat my fault, I'll say, due to my communication. The barber who fixed my hair at another shop seemed to think it was flawed execution, too. Bad haircuts happen every now and then but also: this barber... she kept talking and not cutting and the cut took forever. But my other thing is the vibe of the shop: it's a bro vibe. I'm too old for that. I think the guy with the dog is pretty good and professional. One barber in there was going on and on about politics and conspiracies when I went in there a few years ago. Annoying, loud, not my vibe. The other thing is I texted who I think is the biz owner and I don't think they give a s***. It's awkward to receive a bad cut - I feel bad complaining - but 1) no one wants the Amish look 2) hard lines on longer hair like that + no shape to anything else - just say you can't cut longer hair and give me a fade 3) bro vibes 4) owner didn't care (they said to text the number). I asked if they specialized in high and tights, was told yes by the lady who picked up. Guess the owners were obsessed with James Dean, odd. Shop was clean, nobody in the shop other than Thomas. Sat down, Thomas began cutting me up. My hair wasn't that long and complex, pretty much has to cut was was grown over 2 weeks from previous barber. NOPE. he proceeded to give me an undercut on one side and attempted a fade on the other. You can tell when you get an inexperienced barber when they're talking to themselves while cutting you up. Thank god the haircut was $16 for whatever this is. I tipped cause I always do. But stay far away from these barbers. Pretty sure sports clips would of given me a better cut and closer to what I asked for than this!

So they are wise to have "walk ins welcome" on their window, because sometimes they have an empty slot where they can fit in a walk in. Or the walk in will make an appointment for later since he is already at the shop. My advice to you Tom, is to either accept the business model of this establishment, or find a barber shop that is ALL walk ins. Some barber shops will have one barber accepting only walk ins, while the other barbers do appointments. But then some people become irritated walking in and finding they must wait on one barber when other barbers are finishing their patrons but need to wait on their next appointment, so they are doing nothing for a little while. Patrons like this need to just find a walk-in only barber shop. Period.

Never before have I had to fix multiple parts of it myself with scissors. The first time I went I was cut by a girl who left me with uneven sideburns, but an all around acceptable cut. The second time was years later and John was my barber and messed up a simple Caesar cut so badly it is embarrassing. It is overpriced and the quality has been very bad. No idea how the owner cuts hair, but he hires people that can't cut properly. Go to Brian's barbershop or Steel Haven across the street.
