Meh, it was okay. They were well stocked, with decent prices, but I stopped here looking for kimchi and was disappointed with their selection. I couldn't find any seaweed salad, either, and their meat... I don't know, I'm sure it was fine, but... meh. read more

Stopped by and explored the store. By the front of the door, they have prepared foods, so make sure to check it out. I walked around each aisle to see all the offerings they had, found so many Thai products. Next time I'm in the area, will stop by again to pick up some sauces. read more

I came here for my pho ingredients and other seasonings that other Asian markets don't carry. I like that they remodeled inside the place. They have so many fresh greens and herbs for your authentic dishes. I like the fact the place and clean and organized. I haven't had any issues getting what I need. They have a nice selection of vegan and vegetarian friendly ingredients like my favorite dried mushroom seasoning that replaces MSG sooo good! A lot is assorted instant noodles and flavors isles of all kinds of dried noodles. They sell fresh rice noodles to udon noodles and assorted tofu products. In the back they have fresh cut up meat assorted. The frozen section has a lot of authentic Asian items from wonton wrappers, appetizer pot stickers, frozen assorted fishes, squid, beef tendon, shrimp, frozen mock meats tofu and setain. They also sell different kinds of chop sticks my favorite is the ones that comes in a red paper slip that you get in the chinese restaurant. Their prices are good and the staff will help you find what you need. Overall a nice place to go to get authentic Asian products that you don't typically get in your local grocery stores. read more

Went to the grand opening of a banh mi place nearby, had to wait 2 hrs to get our orders. Decided to just kill time and stepped into Phan Thiet. Was getting hangry so I bought a few snacks and their Banh Mi. All I can say is it was cheaper and much more delicious than the nearby newly opened banh mi place. If you're looking for some authentic Asian ingredients for some home cooking or even some housewares in the burbs, this place is solid. It's a smaller mom and pop shop like you'll find in Argyle (Chicago) and that's exactly what I want. This is a Vietnamese shop, but it has Thai, Chinese, and other Asian goods. They even have agar agar and smaller things that you won't find anywhere else. Prices are reasonable and there's a small number of ready made foods by checkout. I wish this was a tad closer to where I lived, but it's definitely worth making a trip for those hard to find Asian ingredients when cooking up some home made goodness. read more

Nice little market that has the essentials for most of your cooking needs! Very friendly staff! It can get a little crowded if you go in the early afternoon and they do close pretty early as well. Other wise this is a cute small store that I like going to for the necessary items that other stores might not have. read more

First i would like to feel bad when i gave your business 1 star after 10 years my family and friend support you guys . Today like normally i went to Phan Thiet Market to buy coffee , meat and a box of noodle , when i saw the owner of the store i asked her very politely the price of the box of noodle because i didn't see the price label on the shelf . i don't want take the item to the cashier just check price if i am not sure to get it . She ( owner of the market ; Mrs Smart A.. ) was insulting me verbally . She assumed i am from the other store nearby just came to check price , i was trying to explain but she wasn't listening and insulting me something unacceptable either i am trying to be nice to her . She was blaming me because i am using the phone , After i picked out the item and check out as normal customer but i feel very bad for more than 10 years was supporting this business . They have fresh rice noodles!!! My husband and I have been wanting to make pad si ew for a while but could never find the noodles! That made me so happy. Our dinner turned out so lovely, and way cheaper than going out to eat! They have a lot of neat produce to offer that you won't see in the chain grocery stores, and the pricing seems very fair. I will definitely be back to pick up staples for Thai/Korean cooking. The older lady by the fish/produce area doesn't speak any English whatsoever, but the cashier was very fluent in English and can answer any questions about the products. I like this place a lot. I believe it is Vietnamese owned so I find most products are Vietnamese. I come mostly to cook Thai food and the selection is pretty solid. They have all standard Thai food and even some good Isan and Northern Thai selections (hang-le curry paste here and CHEAP!). Contrary to another review, which seemed picky, I find the staff here great and always friendly and willing to help. That's why I will always return. Sure, they may not have everything you need, but it's hard to get that. For me, they have a good selection and I will keep returning. read more

I do not care for this place at all. It's a standard Viet mart. Nothing special except maybe the workers. I smile and say hi and every time, and everytime I get the stink eye. When I check out the lady has to stop turn and have a conversation with whomever is behind her or down the aisle and I mean 5 minute long conversations. After being told the total she will turn around and have another conversation while my hand is being held out with money. Every time this happens. This place may not look like much, but once you go inside, everything that you can think of is there. Vietnamese fruits where you can't find anywhere else sits in rows and rows for you to pick.
