They additionally make it extra complicated by sometimes not having items tagged on the shelf. They often do not have live people cashiers. So you are forced to do self check out and pay the higher price prices of Tony's. Their self check out is very inaccurate and is often so temperamental that after every item you will need to call the Tony's associate over for help. I much prefer to go to Aldi if I have to scan, check and bag my own groceries.

Prices have increased quite a bit, so this year I decided to keep it simple and order just the lamb. The online system didn't allow me to select the date I needed, so I called for help. That's where things became frustrating. I spoke with Chef Jose, and communication was difficult. I asked if he spoke Spanish, since it's my native language and I thought it might help. His response felt dismissive, mentioning he speaks Italian and other things, but the interaction itself came across as borderline rude and unhelpful. That impression was later echoed by the front desk, who suggested I contact another chef. Chef Doug, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. Even though we played a bit of phone tag, he consistently followed up with a helpful and kind attitude, which I truly appreciated. Overall, this is still a market we want to love. It has been part of our routine and community. But between the recent produce issues and inconsistent customer service, it has been a bit disappointing compared to what it once was. I'm hopeful they find their way back to the quality and warmth that made them our favorite local market in the first place.
