Small place, but Mai did a GREAT job and took me in a few minutes early. I think I was greeted by the owner and was told to take a seat in the last chair for my pedicure. There is a very large selection of colors to choose from - it can be overwhelming, but, I LOVE the variety of colors offered. You have to book your appointment on Booksy, but, I think you can call too(?). The price for what I received is normally a lot more elsewhere, so I was VERY happy with my Deluxe 2 Pedicure. I asked for a design and love the little flowers the owner placed on my 2 big toes. The ONLY con is parking. I parked in the neighborhood less than a block away. I love getting my eye lashes done here Thuy and her daughter Tracy are really great at their work.Thuy is a very good owner and runs her business very well, Mai is really good at pedicure I ONLY like going to her she's very attentive and good at her work. My issue comes in with the sister of Thuy the young lady that sits at the last stand by the front window. Her attitude sucks!! I've gotten my nails done by her more than once and have never been fully satisfied, she consistently makes excuses for why you don't like the work she's done. She was more focused on getting on her cell phone than actually doing the service. Just today she had to do my pedicure which was and always is very rushed by her no matter what service I get from her, when the polished was applied it was entirely too dark she made the excuse that the permanent dark line on my toe wouldn't be covered up, I informed her aside from the line on my big toe every toe is too dark when Mai does it I don't have this issue, she insisted she did two coats but I instated it looks to be more than that. She takes the polish off, filed the polish with the drill very fast almost cutting me, Thuy stepped in to repaint my toes in which she used the correct two coats to show me what the polish looked like which like I thought it'll look light like it was supposed too, she then adds the other polish I like and just like I thought they looked exactly like I always get them when Mai does them. Fast forward my big toe the French tip is not straight smh I'm so disappointed in this experience as I was already having a stressful day and hopping getting these services would have helped but it just made my day and mood worse, I'm currently sitting in the chair wanting to cry. Lastly the pedicure chairs are very uncomfortable to sit for so long and hardly function but I'd rather have a perfect finished product than a massage chair especially for the price. Despite it all my massage from Thuy was amazing I will continue to come here for my lashes and will only wait until Mai is available or I'll just leave and come back when she is, this has been a day smh! read more

Whether it's a fancy nail design or simple color, they always come through. Book an appointment ahead of time, because they can get busy! I attached a couple pictures, but there's so many more cute designs and simple color changes I've done. My nails are always looking cute thanks to Vi! My gel pedicures also lasts for a long time. This is my go to location to get my mani and pedi. I can't complain they always give me great customer service. As any small business they do tend to be busy. If you are limited in time make sure you give yourself extra time when coming in. It is a popular place for the locals so it is understandable how busy it may get. Be patient they are working as fast as they can while providing great quality work. In my most recent visit I decided to get a design and lucky enough my nail tech was John. This is the second time he does my nails and I can say he is my favorite now! He is patient with me when I am indecisive about what color I want and he even gives me suggestions. I really hate leaving negative reviews and I really did want to love this place because my nails look so cute but 5 of my cuticles are absolutely destroyed some more than others. I was told that I have sensitive cuticles but I have NEVER had this issue. I could forgive if it happened on one finger and the issue be adjusted but the person who did my nails kept at the same rate and even worse. She said next time she'll know and use a different drill bit but why would I return if I'm in such pain. After two days my cuticles got worse. The worse experience I've ever had at a nail shop. 4 month ago, I found this spot on an app looking for a local shop since I just moved back in town. Everything started off ok, I would notice them being very rough while doing my nails, the shape of my nails were off, some nails were crooked so I would ask if it could be fixed and sometimes I would be met with an attitude from Vi Iike huffing and puffing and saying things in another language under her breath. I never took it seriously but I wish I did because then I wouldn't have had thee worse experience most recently. I got my nails done by Vi and was told that during this appointment my acrylic could be removed so I could get a new set. (Reason being I got a chrome set that wasn't applied properly because it started peeling the next day for no apparent reason other than faulty application). I was told no, let's just do a color change which causes the nails to become lumpy and doesn't present a smooth finish overall. (I'm not a nail tech but I've been getting my nails done for 20+ years so I know a little something about nail application lol) at this point I just wanted to get it over with, since I usually scheduled appointments after work, I'm not trying to be there for hours so I went along with it and suggested a color change and was told it's $25 dollars I asked for a price list and was advised it's on the wall and it was there so I just paid it, said thank you and left. I didn't want to cause any problems about it. Fast forward 2 weeks later, I booked a pedi and lash appointment. Mind you, at this point I've spent hundreds of dollars with them on multiple services monthly. So anyways, I was sitting down in the spa chair getting a pedicure, waiting on my lash appointment which was booked right after. The appointment was going well, the whole time they were conversing with each other in another language but I didn't mind, I had my earphones on so I wasn't paying much attention. I said to the younger woman (don't remember her name), if the acrylic could be removed fully on one of my toes because she tried to just put another layer of acrylic making it thicker in appearance which is not the service I requested. She started going off on me saying she tried and cannot do it I said very calmly, that's fine I will just go somewhere else. All of a sudden, Thuy came running out of her lash room and approached me very aggressively yelling and flailing her arms saying "You always complain!" "You don't like our service, don't come back!". I responded very calmly which honestly wasn't an easy task since her behavior was unacceptable, unwarranted and very disrespectful lol. I told her to stop yelling at me and that me having an opinion about the service is ok. I got a partial refund for the lash service she canceled and got out of there. Needless to say, I don't recommend, zero stars. Maybe a star for the lash app service, but who knows when they'll go off on you, especially if you're a woman of color or any woman who says anything about their services that you pay for (see previous 1-3 star reviews left by other customers, that I wish I would've read first before booking with this low class establishment). Overall good positive experience I'm just quite picky on shaping because I have a few girlfriends that do nails and I also practice sometimes. I called them around 10 AM this morning and they said they would not be available until 230 I was asked to pay a $20 deposit over the phone I arrived there about 5 to 10 minutes early and in total I had to wait about 25 minutes, acceptable. I liked that they sanitized the station and my seat before sitting in it but like most Vietnamese nail salons they reuse nail bands and drills which can be dangerous because it puts you at risk for infection, my nails are not perfect but they are pretty good for $60. I would definitely recommend this place but I would also recommend bringing your own nail drill heads, drill bands and nail files. If these nails were perfect and they used brand new bands on me, I would have easily paid $80. If I were you I would skip on the cuticle oil because of sanitary reasons, I washed my hands thoroughly and used my own personal isopropyl alcohol on my cuticles where I felt I was most at risk. They use a little bit too much monomer, I have a bunch of our acrylic that dried onto my fingers. I will be back but I will be bringing my own nails bands and files for sanitary purposes. 3/5 stars for me, for now. I believe they Deserve a second chance because most of the issues I had her definitely fixable Thank you for being so kind and accommodating ladies. read more

"Phantasy Nails" - Let that soak in for a minute lol. I just had my nails done at a different nail bar two days ago. Well, guess they were too long for my lifestyle because I broke the nail on my thumb as I was loading paper into my printer (Yes, I've accepted I'm not a princess after all). This nail salon is located on E. 14th so be prepared to circle around multiple times just to find parking. You can easily pass the place if you're not paying attention. Nail tech: "Hi honay, what you like?" Me: *shows broken thumb and frowns* Nail tech: "Oh sh** hahaha. Okay sit down, I help you." That's when we bonded. I ended up telling her what happened to my thumb and we both laughed about it. She had a difficult time removing the acrylic but was determined and after several minutes of soaking and cutting, she managed to just pop it out. I was pretty bummed that they didn't have the same color on hand so I ended up changing everything. My nail tech was awesome and she alone deserves 5 stars. So why 3? Well, the place is extremely small. There are 4 pedicure chairs and 4 manicure stations. The techs and customers had to basically suck in their stomachs as they try to pass each other. I started to get anxious. It literally is a box in there. On top of that it's very old, unorganized, and they didn't have many colors to choose from. Don't hate me, I'm just a gal that just got use to higher end nail bars in the South Bay. But hey, if you're looking for a cheap place (Coffin shaped fill is $23) that does a good job on your nails then this is a perfect place. read more

I made an appointment with thuy but came to find out someone else was going to do my nails. The colors palettes are out dated. There are no names on some of the colors, it's hard even for the staff to identify which is which. You just point to the color and hope they get the right one. I admire them for taking walk ins and appointments. But if you are someone who made an appointment, chances are you are going to have to wait anyway. Kind of defeats the purpose. I love this place , seriously 5 stars for the service and their amazing work and price . The only thing is it's a small shop and they're always pretty busy so there's always usually a wait , although the wait never is longer than 30 mins or so . My mom hasn't got a pedicure in a long time so there was a lot of dead skin and they knew exactly how to take care of her , and my mom is a picky woman but she loved it so she instantly got some business cards to hand out to my aunts so they can come . What I loved though is that even though my moms pedicure required a lot more work than mine , the price didn't differ . They're a really honest business . I love getting acrylic sets here because they always do it so nice and I want to emphasize that every SINGLE nail is symmetrical and perfect . Every time I've gotten my nails done somewhere else , there's always maybe some flaw or one nail that doesn't match the rest but I've never had that problem here . And something else I really appreciate is that , she is FAST . She doesn't rush you but she's able to spend a proper amount of time to do your set because I don't wanna be sitting in a salon for hours just going numb waiting for my nails to be done . Also ! It took a while for me write this review but I don't wish my experience on anyone. I reached out to Thuy to explain that I'd gone for a manicure with one of her manicurist on an afternoon when she was on her way out. A couple of days later my finger began to develop pustules. I let me Dr know and she explained that it may be Paronychia and instructed me to soak in water for 15 minutes five times a day. It's been a month and half since onset and now I've been prescribed an antibiotic to treat a STAPH INFECTION. When I let Thuy know she immediately asked if I was diabetic which is reasonable I suppose and just text me she was sorry. I don't know that I expected more but I guess this is more of a warning for future clientele. Thuy is an incredibly talented but this is totally unacceptable. For Acrylic nail removal DO NOT go here. I'm not a nail technician but even I know the customary way is to soak nail in 100% acetone and THEN scape the acrylic. They scrape your nail bed until the nail comes off as is. If there is a little acrylic on your nail after the actual Nail comes off, it is left there for you to figure out. Left the nail shop with the most horrendous nails I've ever left a nail shop with. Not to mention after the actual removal ALL my nails were cut crooked. IF their licensure is actually real not sure why they would teach people to remove acrylic nails this way. Let alone leave a client nails in such a bad way. I reccomend making an appointment because when I did a walk in it was the definition of busy. Even though they have many workers, I had a pretty long wait and their waiting area consisted of two chairs in the corner. Since that was already taken by two other customers, me and my sister had to sit on the seats meant for pedicures and when they had to start on a customer we were moved into another small corner of the vicinity, with almost no place to sit. They have a wide variety of colors to choose from. Originally I asked for an acrylic full set but by the time they called me up the lady started a gel set. I interrupted and told her what I originally waited and I only had to wait a couple minutes for Thuy to start my set. When Thuy did my nails, the process was over in about 30 minutes! This rating is purely for the eyelash services. I was recommended to come here by my eyebrow tattoo artist who's been to many eyelash places and said that this place was the best bang for your buck if you don't mind a hole in the wall sort of business. Ok! The shop is very small and so is the room where you'll get your eyelashes done. The technician that does the eyelashes is a young lady in her 20s who is very skilled at her craft. This was her profession back in her home country for a number of years now and she is very efficient and excellent at what she does. She speaks minimal English but enough to get by and if needed someone in the shop who speaks better English will translate if needed. $80 will get you the classic look which was explained to me that it's one layer. $90 gets you hybrid which is two plus layers and then $100+ gets you the volume lashes which I was told can be as much as seven layers?!? There are pictures on the walls to give you an idea. I got the hybrid (she had recommended to me) and it turned out amazing! It's now been a month and some and all my lashes are still in tack. A few have fallen off but nowhere compared to other places I've been to where about half would have fallen off by now. I'm super happy with her work and will be returning for sure! I've been to places that charge as little as this place to places that charge closer to $200 for a set and I would say this place pars the same as one of the expensive places minus the location (parking on the street, shop is off a main/busy street, not in a posh part of town if that's your cup of tea) interior of shop is nothing to rave cause as previously stated it's tiny and not modern/updated by any means, the technician will not be having full conversations with you due to her limited English but if you don't mind all this, this is a hidden gem for eyelash services. read more

I didn't have time to do my own nails for graduation so I made an appt. 1. Called on a Monday to ask about pricing, called again on Tuesday to make an appointment for Friday. 2. Came in on Friday and they seated me at a station right away. There are 3 pedicure/foot spa stations and 4 nail stations. The place did have a strong chemical smell though, esp since the door was closed. there was one person getting a pedicure, 1 person getting a manicure, and another person finishing up their manicure. 3. I got a gel manicure for $20 and tipped $2 (not really sure what a standard tip for nails is). They have so many colors to choose from. I probably spent about 10 mins picking while the lady shaped and prepped my nails. She cut and filed my nails to a square shape, but my thumbs look slanted and wonky. 4. The lady was nice and made small talk with me. I picked a blush/nude polish. She didn't do that great of a job painting the gel on my nails. She got gel polish on my skin multiple times and didn't remove it all the way. On a few of my fingers, the polish is on what's leftover of my cuticles. She also got polish under my nails. I ended up picking the dried polish out after I left. 5. She gave my hands a short massage and applied lotion and cuticle oil after. The entire process took about an hour. 6. This place is the cheapest in the area so you get what you pay for. The ladies love to talk, but mostly with each other. I think they run this place out of a house because there's a door that leads to the back and a bunch of noise comes from this area. The owner even came out eating baby carrots. 7. I wanted a job well done on my tired and callused feet. The overall pedicure took 1hr but she took her time and really took care of all the calluses, hangnails and a soon to be ingrown nail. I did a acrylic regular and just waited for the paint to dry and it cost $28. I didn't like how the back of the nail was really sharp and wasn't filed down. Was looking on yelp for local nail shops recently tried elegant nails by bayfair which why I'm on here looking saw phantasy nails had good reviews and decided to stop by. The shop was empty! Lucky me but the lady that does full sets wasn't available today, but still stayed to get a mani/pedi. Vy and the other lady totally didn't get her name did a great job! Love my nails ! Second time here and I'm extremely happy with the service. I've gotten gel manicures both times I have visited and they've done a great job. Each employee is very detailed and in no rush, offering the best experience for me. The shop is small (3 places for mani and 3 places for pedi) which makes it an intimate area. It is also kept very clean which is a plus. Prices are VERY reasonable. With tip, you're paying what other places charge for just the service. Will be coming back soon (well, in a couple weeks since I have gel nails)! read more
