Best cheesesteak I've ever had. Staff was friendly. Easy to find location with plenty of parking. I highly recommend this place!

Best cheese steak in the city. I'm a once a week customer and have never had one complaint.

My husband brought home some empanadas from this place and they are really delicious. I…read moreparticularly like the cheese ones but the beef and chicken are also good too. We heat them up in the air fryer at home and they taste great. My only complaint is the price is a bit steep but that's the cost of everything nowadays. The empanadas start at $3 I believe and go up from there.

The present location is in a house in the totally residential neighbourhood of Royal Gardens. The house is being renovated but I saw nothing to suggest that the renovations were related to the food business. As a result, there is no seating. You must phone ahead to place your order and the owner will assemble the order and have it available for you for pickup. He said for orders of 12 or more empanadas he will cook them for no extra charge. However you must still pick them up or use one of the delivery services such as Skip The Dishes. I didn't know this so I phoned him while I was parked out front. I bought a bag full of empanadas. Honestly I forgot how many I actually bought. There are 12 filling including 4 that are vegetarian. I bought beef, chicken, chorizo, broccoli, and spinach. Each kind is marked with a symbol or shape that helps to identify it. Once I got home I pulled two out and baked them at 375 for around 17 minutes. He even provided me with parchment paper for baking them. One definitely is not a meal but if you are not too hungry two would be quite nice for a lunch. It's really hard to rate this business because it is closer to a grocery store than a café. However I did enjoy eating them and I think these would make a great snack while watching a movie on TV. Perhaps eventually he will move back to commercial location and serve the empanadas as a lunch. Time will tell. Until then these are very well priced and good for a lunch or a snack.

My best friend and I tried this place for a quick lunch. Inside is a nice looking modern bar with…read moretonnes of space. Probably a good place to go when you have a group that is undecided. Our server was okay but probably could have been more attentive considering that the place was near empty. Good pub menu with east coast favourites. I generally order fish items here (the lobster rolls are my favourite) but this time I decided on something different. Both my best friend and I went with the Hali - Cheesesteak sandwich - Thin-sliced AAA Angus steak seared with sautéed onions, mushrooms, and green peppers, topped with melted provolone on a toasted baguette with garlic aioli. Served with fries. Food came out in a decent time. Actually this sandwich was pretty delicious. Not a huge helping but a decent amount. The steak was really flavourful and juicy. That with the mushrooms, onions, peppers and cheese was a good combo. Fries were decent.

We got a table for 10 easily, while the spot wasn't really busy. Service seemed to die towards the end of our stay. Opted for their scallop and fries, at market prices, the scallops were tiny, and the batter was barely hanging on. Fries were barely salted, and she didn't give me any options for dip, aside from the ketchup. We stayed for about 3 hours, and our waters wee filled once, we needed to flag her down for drink requests every time. While our server changed halfway through, the new one was less than accommodating - more so rude. Overall, the atmosphere was great. Loved it for watching the game. Food was not worth it, and service was disappointing. Won't be back.
