    Vietnamese egg coffee
    Tracey F.

Stopped in after walking through the farmer's market. This space has changed a few times, so wanted to give the new tenant a try. The coffees looked absolutely decadent and if coffee isn't your thing, they have matcha as well. There are also a handful of pastries available daily. Once I saw Vietnamese Egg Coffee on the menu, I knew I'd have to have that. It was so good. Split a cream filled long john as well and enjoyed taking it slow in a corner with some comfy chairs. Definitely worth sopping in if you're walking around lowertown!

When ordering, it looks like they only offer cold drinks and only one size. I couldn't find the hot version of the egg coffee. The egg coffee is a Vietnamese condensed milk base versus a black coffee. The matcha was bitter, watery, and overpowers the pandan coconut flavoring. Pandan coconut has a nice flavor but it gets lost when mixing in the matcha, and becomes more of an aftertaste/hint. It would have definitely been a better ratio if the matcha wasn't watery. Parking is not the greatest situation, especially if the farmer markets or games are happening the same time you come. There's plenty of seat options inside.

Love the salty cheesy coffee! Came here for the egg donuts but looks like they stopped serving them, was pretty bummed but everything I've had here so far has been delicious. Plus really cool vibes

Been wanting to try this place out for a while and the coffee was good. Very strong and sweet. The parking here gives me anxiety though. The day I went there were so many roads blocked off so I circled around a few times trying to find parking. No parking spots marked clearly for phe coffee so I wasn't sure where to park. I did see some paid parking but wasn't sure if that was for customers. My sister and I drove separately and met up there so thankfully she was able to find a spot close by and I parked far away and waited for her to bring me my order. Glad we were able to try it though. It's nice to stop in if you are there for the farmers market or saints game but not sure if I would drive around that area just to stop there due to the parking. I will stop by next time I'm in the area for something and try their other items.

Decent matcha- there were too many crunchies on top but that's me being picky. Overall it was better than a lot of spots but probably wouldn't need to go back. Good banana flavor but matcha flavor wasn't as strong as I would've liked.

Stumbled across this gem while walking around the St. Paul Art Crawl after spotting their little sign outside--and wow, what a find! Lots of great drink options and tasty treats! The vibe is cozy, relaxing, and effortlessly cool: industrial meets plant-mom energy, exactly the kind of coffee shop you want to linger in. I ordered a strawberry croffle and my husband got the egg coffee with cheese foam which he said is the best coffee he has ever had! While the strawberries were disappointingly small and it leaned a bit heavy on the whipped cream, the croffle itself was wonderfully flaky and delicious. I'd absolutely come back again--next time with my laptop :)

Finally got to try this place . I think this a very cute shop and has a lot of character . The menu is very pleasing and easy to read. I know we came near close so I can't say much about service. I think everyone was very concentrated on cleaning up that new customers coming in can be ignored . I should come when it's not near close so that is our fault. We ordered through a tablet and the drinks tasted pretty good.

This was our first visit and our first time trying Vietnamese coffee. The staff were very helpful and friendly and could tell we were rookies. :) The majority of the coffees are iced but a number of them can also be made hot if you prefer. We tried the banana latte and the strong hammer. Both were delicious!! This place is charming. A variety of places to sit, tables, comfy chairs and bench seats. They have a fun shelf of games and a small menu of eats (muffins, pastries). The locale is great, right near CHS field and the St Paul Farmers Market. We'll be back!!

Phe is my new favorite coffee shop! We came here before the St Paul farmer's market. It was such a lovely spot! Cozy, warm, inviting furniture. Plenty of space to study, read, chat, or just hang for a bit while you drink your cup of joe. Staff were patient and kind. I'm a creature of habit so I got the ice vanilla latte but it was unique enough that it stood out compared to other iced coffees I've had. We even met the owners on our way out and I will say they are truly wonderful! I will be back to Phe again very soon. Add this to your coffee shop list asap!

Whew so this place is SOOO good. I honestly love the super unique flavors and combos. I personally had the banana latte and my partner got the pan dan whole milk matcha with banana cold foam. Extremely unique and delicious syrups paired with tastyyyyy flavors. They are also super nice and accommodating to any changes to the drink, they absolutely work with you to make sure you have a drink that you like! We loved this spot so much that we came back 3 times in a week because it was a hit. I also got the Bischoff waffle pastry and it was good but just a tad too much of that frosting stuff. Otherwise it went well with the coffee! Parking is meh, if you go during the weekend market it's especially MEH since every street spot is taken. Ambience is soooo cute and cozy. It's the perfect spot for versatility, you can study, meet a friend, or just enjoy yourself. There are multiple seating options from couch to large table to two comfy seats. The only downside is the bathroom which is really the Bullvino bathroom next door, kind of a maze but can't blame them for lowertown architecture!!!! Overall 100/10 I love this place and can't get enough.

What a fun new addition to the area. I don't get to Saint Paul much but Phe might be a good reason for me to venture to this side of town more! My son and I were staying overnight for a concert at Grand Casino and Phê popped up as a possible spot to try when I was looking for a good breakfast spot. Was able to find premium parking around 9:30 on a Monday. Easy to order, can do so on iPad or with the person at register. My son got an iced matcha and I got an egg coffee. Convinced him to get something to eat (selfishly so I could taste) and he got a biscoff croffle. I can say, I love the egg coffee! You get the strong viet coffee flavor paired with the sweet, eggy taste of the cold foam, perfect combo. I've had many an egg coffee and I thought this one was perfect. If you have never had an croffle, it's a must try. Crispy outside and inside is still flaky and soft croissant, love it. It was difficult to cut into at first, if you are brave enough pick it up and take a bite! The toppings are plentiful so I did not as I knew it would be all over me and the table. It was so good we ordered a Nutella and Oreo croffles Togo for my other sons. As for ambiance, there's a quieter vibe on a weekday morning. Definitely a good spot to get some work done. Everyone was quiet, not a lot of loud talking/chatter when we were there but again it was a Monday and might just be a quieter day. Comfy leather chairs, very modern and industrial flair to the place. Plenty of games if you bring kids or game loving friends to spend some quality time with. Definitely will be back when I'm in the area!

Visited Sunday morning since I wouldn't have to pay for street parking. I had no problem ordering on the kiosk, although you can also order in person. I ordered the purple lava specialty Vietnamese coffee, which was a delicious twist on a classic favorite. I also had the Banh Mi Ni, which was decent and very filling. I visited early morning and I didn't have to wait for long for my order and there was space for me to chill and enjoy my food while getting some work done. The WiFi was readily accessible and the space was very clean.

THIS PLACE IS SO WONDERFUL!!! I mean from the aesthetic, to the fabulous service and of course the coffee!! This place is an absolute gem in St Paul! Parking can be a bit tricky. We were lucky enough to grab some paid street parking that was fairly close. This place is RIGHT next to the St. Paul farmers market and would be an awesome place to stop by in the summer! The vibes here are so lovely! Cozy, sweet and clean! There are so many different seating options as well! My boyfriend got a regular latte and I got the ubelious with oatmilk! Holy cow! Such a good drink!! I will definitely be back!! If you are coming to study, the chairs/ tables next to the walls do have some outlets :) There is also some limited food options that did look good! Give this place a try!

The service... i asked for my coffee iced and to have oat milk. Neither of those requests were fulfilled. Now, I do like hot coffee, so I didn't complain and I will say the coffee was delicious. The temp was perfect for drinking right away. I am lactose intolerant, so I didn't realize I didn't get my oat milk until after I left if you catch my drift haha. The person taking my order seemed frazzled and wasn't very friendly. I had also ordered another baked goods but I guess she didn't hear because upon checking my receipt, it wasn't listed. It wasn't overly busy, but may be she was new? Not sure, but it did leave a bit of a bad taste for this place. The scone was very tasty and I would recommend getting it warmed up. I would give this place a try again, but it's not a place I plan to visit again soon.
