Beautiful location located in the Mill District, FRGMNT Coffee is located in the bookstore and features high industrial walls, a chill atmosphere, free wifi and studious vibes. Going in on Saturday morning, you'll find that there's a decent amount of seating and 3 stories of various rooms, halls, and the bookstore to explore and relax. I would stick with their espresso of the day with tonic and grab a bite and go sit in one of the chairs to study if you got the time. Parking is extremely limited but since I live nearby that is not an issue. There's lots of street parking within a block that isn't hard to find as well. Overall lovely atmosphere and definitely a staple in the area!

The good- Great atmosphere for work. Super cool book store connected to the cafe. Has parking lot. The bad- I only had one drink so I can't speak to everything, but this matcha was very mediocre and more milk heavy. I think what's disappointing is I asked the barista if I should pick the matcha or the hojicha, and they recommended the matcha. (Not their fault just my experience!)

I really loved this space. Lots of natural light coming and and lots of places to sit and read or study. This location is also connected to a book store and the Minnesota center for book arts. I tried one of the limited time flavors, "chimp in orbit" - with dulce de leche, banana, and pandan flavors. I wasn't a huge fan of the banana flavor but wanted to try something new. The espresso itself was really good though so I can't complain about the coffee! Overall a super cute place I would go to again if I'm in the area!

Cute coffee shop at the entrance to a bookstore/book center/stationary esq shop. Music was nice and not too loud. Lots of work spaces with plenty of outlets around. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered a hot 10oz latte and really enjoyed it. They had some other more interesting drink selections that I may like to try next time. They also had a wide selection of pastries. I got the morning bun, which was basically like a croissant-like cinnamon bun with generously sprinkled sugar rather than frosting. I really liked it and would order again. Logistically, parking is on the street and I have no idea how it is later in the day, but 9:30 am on a Saturday was wide open.

One word - cute! I work around the corner from the Open Book FRGMNT location and had no idea it had opened! So don't miss it like me hahaha. It's a picture perfect place to work from, with plenty of tables and a calming, book store vibe! I was in the mood for a vanilla oat milk matcha latte, and it didn't disappoint! I would ask for two pumps of vanilla next time - I like it sweet! It was roughly $7, so by no means cheap, but... Support small! I have to comment on the lemon curd donut I had... The best ever. EVER. Soft, sweet, fresh, mmm. Shoutout to Cardigan donuts who supplies them! I stopped in to the shop around noon, and there were still plenty of donuts and pastries to go around! I didn't have time to check out the book store or gift shop, but if you're a book person - this is probably heaven! All in all worth stopping in.

They had a few cute items for sale, like momo merch, stickers and more. I got the black sesame latte which was strong but good. We also ordered potato and chive momos and they were decent. I think it could have used a bit more flavor, a bit starchy tasting. But the soy sauce helps a tiny bit. Would for sure come back to check out more. I was a bit shocked that they had to put signs on some of the lower tables for people to not put their feet on them. In a cafe/food establishment that should be common sense but I definitely get it. As it was busy it was a bit loud but I really like the vibes and aesthetic of this cafe!

DRINKS I got a hot chai, and it was good! Only downside is I ordered for here and they served in compostable cup - I prefer when ceramic / reusable mugs are given for in-store drinkers. FOOD I didn't order food, but saw several people getting lunch here and looked good. AMENITIES There's a bathroom attached within the building, and a water station. I was super pumped to try their Vietnamese coffee but was pretty disappointed in it. I should've asked what they put in it because it didn't taste like it had condensed milk in it. They also added a nutmeg/cinnamon sprinkle on top that is not what a Vietnamese coffee is. My sister tried their mango smoothie and it was just okay. I can't remember what the smoothie was called and I can't find any updated menus on their site anywhere. North loop is only metered street parking so it can be a b**ch trying to find parking. There seemed to be a decent amount of people inside working on their computers. Overall this seems like a cute place to relax in and get something small.

Unfortunately, the coffee has been consistently disappointing for me. For such a great space, the drinks just don't match the atmosphere. Service has also been a letdown. It feels rushed and transactional, and the staff does not come across as very friendly or welcoming, which takes away from the experience. They do have a nice selection of baked goods, including Cardigan Donuts, which is a plus. Parking is typical for the North Loop. It can be a bit difficult to find right nearby, but there are plenty of options if you're willing to walk a few blocks. Overall, it's a gorgeous space and a great place to meet up or sit for a bit, but the coffee quality and service are what hold this location back for me which is sad because I love other FRGMT locations.

I think Caffetto kind of corners a market that no one else has by being open so late--most coffee shops are barely open past noon, and they're open until midnight! I've personally spent many a late night there finishing up work--it's a really cozy atmosphere, and the selection of pinball machines in the basement are the perfect study break activity. The staff are all great and even when there's a line, they get through it quick and are still able to offer great recommendations--while I usually prefer an iced green tea with no ice, I've tried the lattes, cold press, Thai coffee, and hot chocolate and have genuinely never had a bad drink here. The only thing is to make sure you watch your step if you're walking in the basement--even though it has seating and pinball and the bathroom, it's more of an unfinished space with uneven flooring and I personally rolled my ankle and fell there last year haha.

I love the coziness and the unique artwork in Caffetto. I look forward to coming back at an earlier hour to feed my addiction. But it's great to know I have a go to coffee shop for those afternoon cravings where the decaf tastes just as delightful! Today, I got the Black Sesame Latte with Oat Foam, served hot since it was quite a chilly day and an Almond croissant, which was sooo good, the perfect balance of a flaky exterior with a rich, nutty interior. Heavenly! I also got the opportunity to meet Angie Lee, the founder of Moona Moono! I told her how much I LOVED her shop and how much Minneapolis needed a shop like this. Angie appreciated my feedback and she told me the backstory to the name of the store! The name "Moona Moono" is a rough translation of two Korean words meaning "culture octopus," representing the various "tentacles" or facets of the Asian American experience. How COOL is that? Thank you again, Angie, for bringing this lovely shop to Minneapolis, and I hope it stays a hit for the years to come! LOVE!

**Pros:** * The coffee itself is legitimate: strong, hot,…read moreand fresh. * Reliable Wi-Fi. * The price point for a standard drip coffee is excellent (under $4). **Cons:** * The interior design feels sterile, leaning into a "clinical" aesthetic that lacks warmth. **Review:** I stopped in for a simple "coffee of the day" during a time when the shop was only moderately busy. The staff was initially friendly, emphasizing that I should let them know if I needed anything and that refills were complimentary. However, when I went to pour my coffee, the carafe was empty. What followed was a frustrating 10-minute wait for a simple cup of drip coffee. Despite there being no line, the staff behind the counter were preoccupied with conversation rather than maintaining the station--the most basic expectation for a coffee shop. Furthermore, the process was handled inefficiently. Rather than prioritizing the waiting customer by pouring a cup from the new brew as soon as it was ready, I was left waiting for the entire vessel to finish filling. In a fast-paced environment, drip coffee should be an immediate transaction. Simple service recovery--such as offering an Americano while the pot brewed or acknowledging the wait--would have gone a long way, but unfortunately, there was a lack of situational awareness. The environment also felt dismissive. As I reached my 7th minute waiting for this cup, I remarked that the process was taking longer than a pour-over. A bystander felt compelled to interject, stating, "They're doing their best." I responded, "No, they're not," with the employees standing right there, still failing to perform the basic requirements of their job. If a shop runs out of its primary product and makes a customer wait nearly 10 minutes for a fresh brew, they are not doing their best. That is a failure of service, not a reflection of the customer's patience. tl;dr: Great coffee, but the service experience needs a serious recalibration.
