I decided to give Pia Hair Salon in Torrance a try and booked an appointment with Nozomi -- and I'm so glad I did! I showed her a photo of the style I wanted, and she absolutely delivered. Nozomi really listened, took her time, and made me feel comfortable the whole time. The salon itself was clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. My appointment started right on time and everything was done efficiently without feeling rushed.

Thank you Nikki and Joe for working on me for 5-6 hours to get this done. Honestly, I almost feel bad because Nikki would explain to me the process in detail and I would be clueless and just nodding my head since this was my first time and I got no clue about being blonde along with the technical terms included in the process of doing it. She knew this and changed her way of explaining so that I could understand it better. Haha. Things I learned was 1 close my eyes when they're rinsing off the bleach, 2 also close my eyes when I'm on the dryer with the bleach and 3 take all the stretch breaks that's offered. There's always a first time for everyone. The results were amazing!! I was nervous, scared and excited because it was a big change but also I didn't know if the color was gonna match me. She assured me that it would look great and it takes a lot to say something like that because that just meant that she knew what she was doing and it was true. Experience was great! She also fixed my chunky haircut and made it more streamlined which ultimately shaped it up to look amazing. We also did a trial run of curls to see how long it would hold if I decided to get it done a day before my nurse graduation this month. I've been to a head spa before when I was a teen. That one was a bit more high end but not as good at this place. I have very thick curly hair which always scares people. (The LA one literally handed me a brush and told me to brush my hair myself) this place she really cleaned my scalp, gently brushed my hair out and even asked how much I want my hair to be dry (which I appreciate so it didn't fuzz up like crazy afterwards). My face feels to soft and clean. My eyes are not puffy anymore. I wasn't expecting for them to even do that much on my chest and shoulders and it felt so nice. The color application was very quick and not as detailed as other services. It was pretty even and timing for since was good. Didn't see the wash basin and chair being cleaned in between clients. Gloves were not changed as often as they should of been. My Shirt collar was soaked during hair rinse and shirt was stained with hair dye. Hair dye was not fully rinsed and some was left on scalp. Salon seems short staffed and staff is always in a rush. They do the best they can with their time constraints. Staff is very nice and do the best they can.
