Although the close time of this salon is posted on their website as 6pm (and 7pm on Google), I arrived at 5:05pm and was turned away. There were 3 workers inside, and the store sign in the window flashed as "open". The woman who reluctantly opened the door for me told me that when there are no customers, they close early. I explained I was there for a manicure, but she said no and quickly closed the door. I thought, "hmm, I'm a customer, but you're still closing the door upon a customer's arrival?" I understand closing early if business is slow, but closing the doors as a customer arrives during your posted, normal business hours? I'm really surprised a business would do this, and it's a great way to turn off a new customer. Gina did my nails, and it was a terrible job. I felt like she did my nails horribly on purpose. I felt extremely disrespected and shocked by her actions. She kept talking to her colleagues about me in her native language thinking I don't understand. Then mid service, she made her colleague take my payment while the service was still happening. When I tipped, her colleague was shocked and asked why I would tip? It's extremely weird behavior by GINA and her colleagues. I would never recommend her to anyone. I went to get a simple gel polish removal and left with bleeding fingers, dents and scrapes in my nails, and pieces of gel polish still remaining. - Gina filed into my SKIN with the drill the whole time and wasn't more careful even when I winced in pain?? Four of my fingers have red welts on my cuticle area, and two are bleeding. Incredibly unsightly. - Half my nails still have gel on them. On all of them, you can see the scrapes from filing, she was rough and barely spent any time buffing my nails out. - One nail has a huge divot from her inconsistent filing, it was burning while she was using the drill. It's a shame because the first time I got my nails done here, it was a different lady who did a great job but it seems like she no longer works there. This was my second chance with the owner but I'll never be coming back. It was so bad it almost felt vengeful lol. read more

However, Sensation Nail Spa was so great and I was so pleased with the whole experience. First of all, I made an appointment but arrived about 30 minutes early, but they still greeted me and started on my nails right away. I had a pretty good experience at this nail salon! I really enjoyed my nail tech; she was very kind and genuine and I really got the vibe that she enjoys her job which I love!! I was very happy with my full set of acrylics and the customer service, and was thrilled to hear that they have a 10 day warranty, so if a nail breaks or chips they will fix it for free within those first 10 days. RUN... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Avoid this place at all costs!!! I've been trying to find a new nail tech since I moved here last year. I came across this salon based on yelp reviews. I decided to try Gina because of some pics I saw she did. I thought ok maybe since she does designs, what I want shouldn't be too hard. I wanted a French manicure with a modern flare that's more curved on the edges. How hard can it be right? Well first off - my experience was horrible, she was the most unfriendly, and aggressive nail tech I ever came across. She looked like she hated her job so much. She was so rough with my nails like using extreme high speed with the drill and aggressively filing with a nail file to where she was cutting me around me cuticles with how sharp the edges of the file were. I was afraid, and flinching the WHOLE time. She seemed like she was in a hurry. Some parts of the acrylic are so chunky and thick it just looks ridiculous, and anytime I pointed out a flaw, she would say.. "I'm not done yet".... Now on to the French part, some nails look ok, and some others are just horrendous. I asked her to make it more curved like the picture I showed her, and it just came out thick and super uneven. I literally just gave up and wanted it to be over so I can get out of there as fast as I could. I will never ever, ever come back here again. This is the worst $60 I've spent for nails ever!!! Ugh.. so disappointed. I came in asked for a full set, the girl who helped me said gel x is better than acrylic & better for the nails blah blah. I asked her, how much more is it? She said it's the same price as regular acrylics. The little hanging prices on the cart said $42 for regular acrylic full set so I went with her recommendation since "they're the same price". I showed her what I wanted & they look horrrrrible! I wanted color tips & the lines aren't even straight & there is so much glue left under the nail. Then this older lady keeps hovering me while im getting my nails done to pay.. I finally have my hands free & she tells me $65... WTF! They look ridiculous & they lied about the price. I paid $97 for this horrible full set & a pedicure (the only decent service i received). & the older women kept asking me to tip. why pester someone??
