I love this place! I honestly would say it's comparable to Thai Ginger but more cozy. The atmosphere reminds of a Thai restaurant I used to go to a lot back home in West Seattle. Although, the spice ranges differently than Thai Ginger. So if you normally get a 3 at Thai Ginger for how spicy you want your food to be, bump it down to a 2. I normally get a 2 whenever I do go to Thai Ginger and when I came here and got a 2, it was super spicy. But it's not bad or anything, I still love this place! read more

This is the ONLY Thai place the Palouse has to offer. The food is wonderful! The missus and I are big fans of the pineapple and avocado curry. Their quality is always consistent. Also the peanut sauce is an absolute delight, I could seriously just put the peanut sauce on only white rice and just eat it and nothing else. *The only complaint I have is that the wait can be fairly long at times. To accommodate this me and my wife will order our food before we get there so our food is ready when we arrive. read more

My rating would be 4-star on the food, 2-star on the service. I really enjoy their curry dishes...the best in Pullman. I have eaten in once or twice and ordered take-out 8-10 times. The worst service of my entire life! The table was not clean, our server ignored us. The only time she came to our table was to toss menus at us on her way to talk to her friends at another table. It took 30 minutes for us to get our order taken and get waters, but that was only after I walked up to the counter to ask them to take our order. A different employe took our order, brought our waters, and brought out our food. We arrived at 7:00 pm, it was not busy, we did not get our food until after 8:00 pm. After we finished eating it took 20 minutes for them to bring us the check. We did not leave the restaurant until almost 9:00 pm. The only good thing was the food. Nom nom nom nom. I love Phikun's its consistant and amazing especially for Pullman. Pad se ew and avocado curry with tofu are definitely my favorites. I get everything at 3.5 star spice level and its very spicy and very good. My only complaint with this place is that on busier nights the food can take close to 45 minutes to come out... thats just unacceptable service and something they really need to look into fixing because from 3 years ago when I moved to pullman and now people are starting to realize that small hole in the wall Thai place is a lot more like the Thai we are used to on the westside and that awful palace sized excuse for a Thai restaurant is garbage. read more

A surprisingly good Thai restaurant. Fresh spring salad rolls were large, filled with lots of fresh veggies and shrimp and had a nice peanut sauce. The Tom Ka veggie soup was served in a fire lit soup serving bowl and had loads of fresh veggies cooked to perfection. The pad kee mao noodles were fresh and soft, vegetables still crunchy and chicken sliced nice and thin and was tender. Really good food. Portions are pretty huge. My friend and I ordered one pad thai together and we had leftovers for BOTH of us to take home separately. (However, we are two girls and we both don't eat a lot so... do keep that in mind.) However, seeing how others ordered, it does seem it's quite normal for two people to share one dish since the portions are so big. I tried the pad thai, duck curry, pad see ew, and crab fried rice. All of them were terrific (although I personally don't care much for fried rice in general). The duck curry was really something. The duck skin was kind of crunchy, which I loved. (However, they do run out of duck sometimes). Anyway, I stayed in pullman for a little over a week and I came here FIVE freakin times. Kept craving it. Visited during lunch hour around 12 but only a handful of people in there.We got the Lunch combo with red curry,which was awesome .The tom yum noodle soup was just okay.Would have preferred a little less noodle and more soup.Also for a medium spice level,it was blazing hot.The 3 star is for the slow service,a 15 minute wait to get the order and another 35 minute wait for the food.They seemed to have a lot of take aways going on. read more

Got there Mon eve about 6pm. Did not expect them to be that busy. The chef couldn't keep up with the orders so I had a good amount of waiting time. Was it worth it? Damn right. Place is a bit dirty looking/feeling. Heavy dust on the lights that hang above the table. Almost enough for chunks to fall off. Bench seating in the booth is very low and hard. For a tall big person it made it a bit uncomfortable waiting to eat. Was it worth it? Damn right! I was a little worried when the fresh rolls finally got there. They are huge. Easily twice the size of the biggest I have ever seen. Turns out they were very good. Maybe a bit more lettuce than I'd like, but they were very good. I had #69 BBQ chicken green curry. Outstanding! Perfectly prepared, except I'd like a few more veggies, and a large serving. And oh my, as good of curry as anywhere. Chicken in it was grilled and had a nice char that went with the curry perfectly. 5 stars for food, 3 for general ambiance and comfort. 4 stars seems right on. First time visiting and we were the only customers in the restaurant when we walked in around 1:30pm. Good menu. Clean facility. Friendly server. Fried prawn/cream cheese appetizer was not good and overcooked. I had the swimming something. (Beef with peanut sauce) It was cold. The peanut sauce was good and there was plenty of it. I got the yellow curry and it was delicious. I only got 2 Star spicy and could have done the three star spicy but for most people 2 Star spicy would have been intense. The service was a little slow but they apologized and it was not really that slow. The food is being prepared fresh so I can understand having to wait for delicious food. This is the BEST Thai food I've ever had. The flavors are incredible, the food is fresh. I ordered the Lamb Curry and the lamb was tender and delicious. I've had several other dishes here, as well, but this was my favorite so far. I will second another reviewer... they are not your typical Thai food place when it comes to spice. Ordered the avocado curry with extra avocado and a Thai beer. The avocado curry was delicious, but not as spicy as I expected. I wasn't asked about a spice level. The food was great, but the bottle of beer was way too expensive ($4) and it was an extra $2 just for a small bit more avocado. The portions could have been larger, but overall good experience. She told me to sign the receipt and write the tip using a very rude language. The food is good; however, the wait is agonizingly slow. We recently went to Phikun's for dinner and ordered within a few minutes of arrival. It took nearly 60-minutes for us to get our food and the place was not that busy. When our food did arrive it came at different times. My wife got her food first and was nearly done eating by the time my dinner arrived. I'm not sure the view (good food) is worth the climb (long wait / staggered food arrival). read more
