I went in for a cut today and was a bit surprised by my experience. My stylist made me wait almost an hour after my scheduled appointment time to even look at my hair (was dealing with another client) and, when she finally did start working on my hair, she used dirty brushes and combs. The comb had just been used on the client who was in the chair before me (visibly had not been disinfected - the disinfection tank was also empty); the brush had a ton of other people's hair on it. I can take a lot, but using brushes and combs that have not been disinfected on a client is a dealbreaker for me. The cut came out nicely, but because of the brush and timing issue, I will not be back. read more

I'd like to thank Carol and the rest of the staff for an awesome salon experience. I'm new to the area and needed to get my crazy hair under control. I was greeted at the desk by Christine who was extremely pleasant. Damara took me to the wash station and shampooed my hair and scalp which is a completely different experience than I've ever had. Review for Eyebrow Service at this location I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE Jules and Julie, the two estheticians at this location. They are super down to earth, make you feel super comfortable, and of course do an AMAZING job on your eyebrows. I was referred to the location by Julie as I noticed that she had great eyebrows and she told me about Jules, who does hers, but that she provides the service as well. I know that for us women, eyebrows can be a big deal and finding the right place to get them done is super hard sometimes, but the results I got at this location made me an official keeper. I've gotten them done by both women, and I'm glad to see that we're always on the same page. They also keep it super real with you with suggestions or if, for example, you want thicker/thinner eyebrows, but they don't feel that it would look good for your face shape etc, they tell you and try working with you. I've been going to Kathy for years and she is truly the best hair colorist/stylist that I've ever had. It's not the most convenient location for me so I occasionally will go to another salon that is closer, and I always end up going back to Kathy. She just always knows exactly what needs to be done and doesn't let me leave until my hair looks exactly the way I want it. It's worth the inconvenience- I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

Sadly, friendly businesses that have that personal touch are a dying breed these days. However, Philip Ciampa Salon exceeded my expectations in many ways. There were lots of smiling faces when I walked in the door and although it was busy, there was a nice flow between stylists and technicians. I was given a tour of the salon and spa and was very impressed. It was apparent that the client's experience was #1 priority when creating this full service salon and spa. The salon area was upbeat, vibrant, very clean, and cheery. The Spa area which is located in the back was exactly what I would want when I needed to escape. It was sound-proofed so there is no disturbance from the salon and the rooms were incredibly clean and organized. I admired the fountain in the waiting area and was told it was hand made. As I looked around I could tell there were a lot of these personal touches throughout. It is a family owned business and I got the feeling that their philosophy is to provide their client's with exactly what they need. I had worked in Spa's for many years and cannot help but be hyper vigilant when it comes to cleanliness, customer service, and efficiency. This place certainly met those expectations. I got my haircut by Anthony and IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED! It is chic, precise, flattering, and most importantly not overpriced. He was charismatic, listened to what I wanted, and fast. My hair is thick, voluminous, very wavy, black, and very long. When I take good care of it I get nothing but compliments. I don't need to wash and blow dry it except for once every 2 to 3 days and it will still look good but... As beautiful as my hair can be, it is extremely difficult to manage. I have a very resistant silver-gray hair that hates to hold onto color. It's heavy and will frizz instantly. And forget about trying to get some highlights. If it's not done properly, any lightening procedure will look as orange as president Trump's face. I gave up on partial or full foil long ago. I've opted to stick with just one level above my natural but I still love having some dimension to my color. It takes me at least 30 to 45 minutes just to blow-dry from being freshly washed. There's just so much of it that I dread having to take care of it. And talk about getting haircuts. It's been nearly impossible over the years to find a stylist that could cut it so the waves would would be bouncy without looking choppy, keeping the length while still managing to lessen the bulk, and still having it look sexy, playful, and perfectly coiffed. It's a very tall order to full. I've found great colorists. I've found great stylists. I've found great salons with reasonable prices and nice ambience. I've found stylists with great personalities. Never, though, all in one place. I've been driving by Philip Ciampa's, which is right next door to Dolce's, nearly daily for the past 1 1/2 years and never noticed it due to the trees. I'm kicking myself for it. Everything clicked yesterday. I was searching for nearby salons and stumbled upon them, read the reviews and called. I was very fortunate that they have an appointment that afternoon for a color and cut. Antonio, personality-wise, was charming, accommodating and made me feel very comfortable in trusting him with my hair. Not only was he a pleasure working with to come up with the perfect shade, he made time to expertly paint in the highlights that I really wanted. The thing that really impressed me though was the cut. He didn't rush but it felt like the time flew by. Antonio asked at all the right times what I wanted... and he got it with very little input from me. It was as if he could see the picture I had in my mind of what I wanted even though it was my first appointment with him. He got rid of the bulk and cut the layers in all the right ways. All the way through to the finishing touches Antonio's technique was perfect. He cut my styling time down to 15 minutes and it's beautiful! I won't be going anywhere else. Antonio, you're the man. I've been going to Anthony for two years now for color and cut, and he's simply the best. He gets it right every time, and is very confident. Whenever I've just had my hair done, I get nonstop compliments from my co-workers, family and friends. Not only is Anthony friendly and fun, the entire staff is as well. It's a welcoming, "everyone here is family" vibe that I've never experienced before at a salon. The prices are reasonable, and they sell really great products at good prices. I could go on and on! I went to Phillip Ciampa for a haircut and was very displeased. First, when I walked in nobody even paid any attention to me. I sat down for a few minutes while a guy just sat at the front desk. Eventually, I went up to the desk to tell them I was there, and he reaaly couldn't have been bothered with me. I felt really out of place. The haircut was just ok, although the girl was nice. All in all, the whole salon just seemed very disorganized and the customer service was non-existant. It was very disappointing and I won't go back. read more
