I've worked with Phillip twice now, and can't say enough positive things about him. In my experience, moving to a new place in Austin is drastically different than moving elsewhere. Austin is constantly building and the atmosphere is dynamic. I'll go out on a limb and say Phillip is the embodiment of everything Austin. He's soaked up the culture and history of the city so well that you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not giving him a call before looking elsewhere. His knowledge of the city is matched only by his friendly, caring demeanor. Tell him what you want, and he's got 5 places lined up for you instantly. He's prompt, attentive, flexible, and responsive. He starts with an overview of the city and points out key differences between each area - this part is extremely helpful. He also seems to have friends in nearly every management group around town, meaning he gets appointments instantly and is always informed of every single promotion/deal around town. He can take your budget and find a place you'd never imagine could have fit within it... He'll also tell you if he feels you're getting ripped off, then show you better options within that range to help you decide. Something to keep in mind here is the time sensitivity of the situation. In between Christmas and New Years, I was given a job offer that would include relocation from Orlando, Fl, to Austin, Tx. A move halfway across the country is never a quick and easy process... although, it is! My company sent Philip's contact info to me and said I would be in great care! I sure was! He was very quick to respond (even though he was on vacay in out of the country!) and took out his own time to genuinely give to me! I did not do much searching for apartments. He asked me all the question he needed to narrow the search and came back with great prospects. He was very truthful and honest in what he thought about some other findings, whether it was if the location was friendly or not, traffic and proximity to essential places, and of course, if what I was paying would be worth the product I am getting. He found me a brand New Complex! Under a year old, very fair, reasonable, and friendly priced, a super nice location, all the amenities, and a great started deal for signing the lease! I ended up getting the first month and a half free, on top of how much I was saving if I had chose to live anywhere else half as nice! I ended up getting moved in at the end of January! I relocated from Florida to Austin two days ago. Upon accepting a new job about a month ago, I had a week to find a place and get everything done so I could sell my house and pack out. I had made a huge spreadsheet of apartments to check out but didn't know the area. I planned three days in Austin to tour apartments and was super stressed about all the pieces coming together. On a whim I checked Yelp and saw Philip's service. Checked out the sterling reviews and shot him a text. I was arriving on a Friday and it was the day before that I texted. He responded immediately and got me into his schedule. He was unbelievable! Short conversation, told him what I wanted, emailed him my list. He very tactfully and kindly suggested he had some other suggestions. The short and sweet is he showed me two locations not on my list. I rented the second but either was perfect! So what could have been an anxiety ridden trip was, seriously, about four hours of a cake walk. I was able to spend the next two days touring the city and he was spot on when I saw the location of the apartments on the list I had made. Philip Hitt was seriously the cat's pajamas (the cream of the crop, you get it). From the moment I reached out to him via email to the day I came to Austin to visit to check out places (I was moving from Philadelphia), he was nothing short of awesome! He even picked my sister and myself up since we didn't rent a car or anything. From the first place he showed me to the last, he was very helpful, accommodating and insightful. He had a strong sense of what I was looking for and he nailed it. I have now been here for 3 wks and I really owe a lot to Phil for finding this place, because I truly feel at home here. This review is long overdue, but I think that only speaks to how easily and efficiently Philip was able to match my boyfriend and I to an apartment that allowed us to transition quickly into our new lives in Austin from central NY. Although we weren't entirely sure what we wanted, we knew what we didn't like, so Philip drove us all over the city looking at various complexes that all fell into the "must haves" category for us. Philip showed us places that I had never heard of or seen online before, so we appreciated the knowledge and expertise he exuded. We were also thankful for Philip's patient and kind demeanor because we were still pretty wishy-washy with the selection presented. I relocated from Seattle and traveled to Austin for a week to find an apartment. I had only been to Austin once before. I had been looking online but I was a bit concerned that all the places that came up were a bit soulless and corporate-looking. I was looking for a place with character and close to bars and restaurants. With the help of Philip, I found the perfect apartment for me in a single day. It was actually the first place he showed me but, nonetheless, Philip still showed me several other interesting properties. In most places we visited, Philip would have personal contacts, which often translated in special perks for me.
