Dr. Leong made me feel comfortable right away and explained everything very clearly so I could understand my options. I've been to many different dentists here on the island, but I can honestly say he's the best dentist I've seen. A lot of dentists make you feel like they only care about the money, but Dr. Leong truly listened to my concerns and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable throughout the treatment. She was also gentle when flossing my teeth. The office is small, quiet, clean. The front desk person has always been fantastic: friendly, engaged, and helpful. Both hygienists I have seen were good at what they do, not peachy about my lack of consistent flossing, and made for a good visit. Yes, yes, I know flossing is important. Dr. Takenishi is super personable. He's efficient while also providing entertaining conversation. I leave feeling good about the care I've received and my plan for keeping my teeth. I was welcomed by very sweet assistant Aurora who explained the crown procedure every step of the way and was very efficient. This office is great in keeping up with digital dentistry - my crown was perfect and ready in 2 hours. No temporary or 2nd appointment to come back. Also my teenager is almost done with his clear aligner treatment and my toddler loves coming to his routine check up. The office staff is all very friendly and caring. We took the flight anyway and upon landing I randomly called a dentist, who himself recommended Dr. Kashiwada. He took us in immediately though he was otherwise booked. His care, compassion, obvious skill, and amazing follow-up, was unique in all my nearly seven decades. He is a clinician. He is an expert, on licensing boards, and it is a delight to be in his caring company. He allows you to enjoy a dental visit! We had never met him but immediately felt as though he had been our dentist for decades. He called us several times to be sure we could enjoy our time in Hawaii without concern for the tooth that he skillfully repaired and was our Guardian Angel.
