She is so pleasant. The hygienists feel like my besties. They know I have sensitive teeth and give me special local numbing medicine that makes my cleanings more comfortable. They always seem excited to see me and I can tell they remember who I am each time. The dentist, Joe, is always personable and has a great sense of humor. I can tell he is great at what he does. I have total confidence in the folks at Acorn Dental!

I would exercise extreme caution with this dental office. They do not confirm allergies or do a…read moretrue informed consent before fillings. I was told by my oral surgeon that I should ask for a crown exchange due to the crown being too small to fill the gap between teeth, but the provider here said that she wouldn't recommend that due to it 'being expensive' and that I should go the cheaper route of filling a perfectly healthy tooth to fill the gap between my crown and the tooth next door. The provider also told me a lot about what she would do if she was the patient, which isn't informed consent. They did not confirm my allergies or tell me what was being injected for numbing. I don't know what anesthetic was used, but I was numb from my eyelid down to my collarbone for hours after the procedure. They also did not go over thoroughly the benefits, risks, alternatives, and what would happen if I deferred treatment before a filling on a natural and unaffected tooth. Had I known how much enamel the provider was going to drill off, I would've never consented to the treatment. They also didn't say that I should expect sensitivity for weeks to months afterwards prior to the procedure but told me afterwards. I also felt like the provider was distracted during the procedure. I consider not checking allergies and not having informed consent or assigned consent form a major breach of safety and ethical practice. I have already spoken to the manager about this, but I will be getting a second opinion and taking my care elsewhere because I don't believe I'll be getting ethical care here.

He takes time to go over what is happening with my teeth and gums. In years past, in Seattle, I went to several dentists. It was always an anxiety producing time. Not so with Dr. Gaskill. One of my greatest fears is needles. I don't even know when he starts with the injection. He takes the time to complete all procedures. Now I have no fear or discomfort from the shot. They made useful suggestions for pain control overnight. I was seen promptly that next morning and given options for treatment. Definitive treatment seemed the most appropriate and, although emergency dental work is never comfortable, the professional staff and ancillary staff did their utmost for my comfort. A particular shout out to Dr. Connor, his dental assistant, and also particularly Debbie at the front desk. After the procedure, I was relying on the shuttle from the Marina to come and pick me up to return back to my boat. I was hoping to break a large bill so that I could tip the driver. There wasn't much cash in the office among the staff, but Debbie volunteered up five dollars for me to use and simply said "please pay it forward". The work was performed for a reasonable price, promptly and with minimal discomfort. I would highly recommend Laconner dental for not only local LaConner folks, but for anyone passing through the region who might suffer a dental emergency.

The hygienists were wonderful and Dr. Atkinson is gentle, professional and doesn't waste time or make you wait around. The office is beautifully styled, comfortable and absolutely clean. It's a very nice place to be, and I actually enjoyed my visits. Highly recommended if you're in the La Conner area. If you're a new patient, just be aware that it can take several weeks to get in for your first visit, but it's worth it.

I put off having it pulled due to embarrassment and shame over not having "perfect" teeth and only saw him because I couldn't take the pain anymore. However the doctor and his staff were kind, understanding, professional and treated me with dignity and respect. In fact, that initial visit has changed my life forever. Dr. Wyman was not able to initially pull my tooth due to my blood pressure. I was referred to another doctor about my HBP and was diagnosed right away and put on medication to stabilize and control my blood pressure. I was also placed on a diet (keto diet) that I can stick to and as of this review I have lost 35 lbs! The next time I visited Dr. Wynman he successfully pulled my tooth with no pain or complications. He has a very gentle and steady hand with that needle. I felt so comfortable with him and his staff that I came back for more work and dental cleaning. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
