We were referred to South Central and the nice ladies at the desk picked up, they told us to bring him in ASAP and made us feel hopeful again that our boy will survive. My husband and I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Walla and Dr. Sodek when we got there. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and definitely impressed us. Dr. Sodek suggested different options and was kind, compassionate and not at all pushy. We chose surgery and when he gave me the price for the treatments including hospitalization - and it was so affordable! Long story short, Dr. Sodek and his wonderful team is the reason my boy is still alive and recovering. Not to mention the daily calls I get to update on his condition. He is now back at home happily recovering.

Vet was able to get a tennis- ball sized wad out of her stomach. We were lucky it had not passed yet into her bowels where surgery would be required. Still a $600 vet bill. Called to find out what happened and was promised the owner would call us. Still waiting. My dog was not provided good care and staff we spoke to didn't seem to care or take us seriously. I heard about the VHR Ranch and decided to give them a call, Vicki's very sweet and knowledgeable of animals. Our dogs were very comfortable after meeting Vicki and so were we. Their kennels are very clean and they took special notes on feeding, exercise and medication. We received updates and pictures while we were gone which put our mind at ease, our boy was played with and exercised every day and Grace went on short walks. We got the full package and had them groomed before coming home, they were beautiful and smelled great!

We spoke to him about his journey as a 1st responder firefighter paramedic now making leather goods from Florida to Texas and back. Definitely worth the hour drive from Houston to get some leather goods . We accidentally discovered this shop that has been around since 1999.They are home to an in-house barbershop and candle making shop with wonderful scents as you enter the building. While the wife shopped, I had a nice conversation with the owner and her son. I was struck by the unusual (to me) combination of "pet store" and "decor store." I was pleased to hear how the dream came to be reality, especially since we're dog-lovers and enjoy finding distinctive home decor items. The pet food and treat selection, as well as the collars, leashes, and other accessories is out-of-this-world. The clothing and home decor items are interesting and varied. Their space is a restored building and that just adds character to the entire mix. We brought home a beautiful blue-and-white chinoiserie vase and a few other assorted items that caught our interest.
