We were referred to South Central and they are the best hands down! My English bulldog was literally dying and no one in the Houston area would even do an X-Ray on him! We were referred to South Central and the nice ladies at the desk picked up, they told us to bring him in ASAP and made us feel hopeful again that our boy will survive. My husband and I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Walla and Dr. Sodek when we got there. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and definitely impressed us. Dr. Sodek suggested different options and was kind, compassionate and not at all pushy. We chose surgery and when he gave me the price for the treatments including hospitalization - and it was so affordable! Long story short, Dr. Sodek and his wonderful team is the reason my boy is still alive and recovering. Not to mention the daily calls I get to update on his condition. The vets are good but the customer service is awful. Reception makes it feel like such an inconvenience to do anything. I have been on hold multiple times and hung up on.The most recent incident, After calling back I was hung up on again and they took another call (because the line was busy) after hanging up. I called back 11 times! I finally got someone and explained I will no longer be using their services. Unprofessional and unwelcoming. I don't know what to say. Th is is a review of the office staff. We purchased Centraguard wormer for our cats. I drove from Bryan to pick it up. They would not wait on me, so they left it in the mailbox. They shorted me two doses and all they did give me was expired! I have paid for this in full! Two months later, they had yet to get back with me. When I called, the lady said "we just got that in, when would you like to pick it up?" They have had Centraguard the entire time. They just refuse to deliver what I purchased. And now, I cannot get the vet to call me back either. I wonder if that message has even been delivered. read more

i am texas 4 paws mastiffs , i have been a professional large dog breeder for 52 yrs. i have been using this wonderful vet service for over 12 yrs. there staff is wonderful and always helpful at all times. and you can't bet dr. walla, he is the greatest, if it is in c-sections on a big dog or a tiny one, he takes time to explain everything to you and help you in anyway. i can't say how much he has done for my dogs and any dog problems that come up. try them, there prices are reasonable for the working man and great vet service. the best. jimmie harris with bull mastiffs and big old english mastiffs. he does all my dogs and pups. thank you so much dr. walla read more
