There was a large, peaceful waiting room, and we were able to see our cat and say goodbye until he went into the furnace. The staff were very gentle and professional. We were truly fortunate to find this place by chance. We ordered some memorial items as well. The paw and nose prints are so cute, and the fur keepsake in the jar is lovely. Blue Pearl came to my house and were so sweet and loving to her and came up with NOT a hospice plan but a long-term plan to balance meds/quality of life/ improvement where possible journey. They were also phenomenal in walking me through the plan and answering any questions. The vet had pointed out some concerns with her pain level and knee and asked me to get it xray-ed asap. Turns out it was bone cancer and it had spread everywhere. I contacted my primary vet at Blue Pearl and they gave me options for her and listened to my concerns...not to mention they were incredibly sympathetic to my dilemma of coming to terms of what was best for my girl in helping her not suffer. I had to let her go shortly after and they came and spent time with her and me and gave her treats and made sure she was happy and relieved. They called and checked in on me after and would chat about what an impression she made even if they short time they knew her. I can't recommend Blue Pearl enough - I would do this 1000x over because they were caring, thorough, available, and gave Leeloo the best care in the short time ahead had left. Sorry for the long sappy post but it was money well spent.

I called and spoke to her and immediately started sobbing and told her our situation , I could not fathom taking my Lizzie out and bringing her little body home in a blanket. She wanted to know about Lizzie , she took so much time on the phone .. she didn't know me and she didn't know Lizzie . The comfort level that I felt was immediate ! Through my tears I asked " how will we know " The thought of scheduling her last day paralyzed me . My other two cats died of old age not a sick day in their lives , one was 20 , the other 19 . Her answer " she will tell you " Two days passed and Dr Birdwell was so right . She said she would help us , I was so grateful considering the current situation . A week ago Saturday past , my doorbell rang and I thought I would throw up ! She came in and using all precautions of the covid situation , she sat and we talked and calmed me down to the point that I knew it was going to be allright . After an emotional morning, and lots of tears with the vet and her tech, I took my baby's remains for cremation. They were very kind and told me that it may be a couple of days before I could come pick up her cremains, but 24 hours later I received an email to come pick her up. I chose to have her cremains kept in a beautiful blue bag rather than an urn. I chose not to get a paw print or hair clipping, though both were offered. She will be placed in my pet cemetery in my backyard. The professionalism and kindness of the employees by Fond Memories staff was so helpful in a difficult time.
