I did it yall. I tried it again. This time I got the OG, which is a souped up Italian & listen up... I stand on my last review... best sandwiches in Baltimore, end of discussion. Ownership is dope too... always makes it his business to thank his patrons. The wait was about ten mins or so but there was seating inside the shop so it didn't feel that long. I always been meaning to try this place, because I love a good italian cold cut. I am always over on the Pigtown side of town, and I decided to grab a sandwich for dinner. These sandwiches are huge and good. I can never finish, always save the other half for later. I just keep it simple with the italian. Next time I am going to try the OG, everyone says it is really good. And they definitely do not skimp on the meat. The owner is really nice and quick. Wow oh wow, the sandwiches here are big and amazing. We got the OG with LT light mayo, onion, Italian pepper, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, oregano (basically the works) and it was probably the best deli sandwich I've ever had. Super cool spot, it takes time to make you an awesome sandwich but the owner was super nice, got it put together quickly. Very neat spot, would highly recommend. Such lovely people & fantastic food. While I was waiting for my meatball sub one of the gentlemen brought out a sandwich that he said he was trying out for the menu & it was a sort of cold cut with prosciutto & pesto and it was phenomenal. The ingredients tasted so fresh and high quality, and the meatball sub was bomb too. The man & woman working were so kind I will definitely be bringing my family back! read more

This place is authentic as a hoagie can get. Being from philly it's hard to find a hoagie place but I'm so happy it's here in town in Baltimore. The bread was so fresh. The meat was so tasty. True authentic Philly style hoagies. I got the turkey hoagie and it was the best sandwich I have had in a long time. The sliced turkey was tasty and plentiful. Perfectly seasoned with crisp toppings. Check it out... Finally!!!!! Now I don't have to travel an hour and a half to Philly to get my Hoagie fix. This is my 4th time here and I always get the OG. Today I got the Turkey and OG... FiRE!!!!! If you're from Philly or just hoagie-curious, do yourself a favor and get to this place ASAP. As someone who literally would travel to Philly just for legit Philadelphia hoagies, I've been chasing that perfect roll-meat-cheese ratio here in Baltimore for a very long time. And THiS iS iT. The rolls? Soft with the perfect chew, just like an Amoroso roll. The meats are sliced fresh and thin, piled high, and layered with care--none of that limp, pre-sliced stuff you find at chain delis or wannabe "Philly Style Sub" carry outs. I always get the OG hoagie with everything, and it transported me straight back to Gooey Looies in South Philly. The oil and vinegar dressing was spot on, and did I mention that they didn't skimp on the meat. Bonus points for the excellent service and the kind of vibe that makes you want to come back weekly. Baltimore's food scene just got a major upgrade with this Philly flavor -- and we're all better for it. read more

Came here Sunday evening cause I had a taste for Philly but didn't know a good place in Baltimore, that served them. Found this place on Google, ate half while I was there of my Philly cheesesteak and ordered two chicken cheesesteaks, they were delicious and the owner, Danny, is a solid guy. They've been there for about 18 months. They're gonna be there for quite some time. The hoagies at this shop are the best that I've ever had. I was planning on a 1 1/2 drive to Philly to visit my favorite shop there when I found this location and I actually like it better! The street parking is pretty decent. I usually get a spot close to the shop. I have loved every item that I've tried, but my favorite hoagie is the Italian. I finally made it to this neighborhood hoagie spot, and I only wish that I had tried it earlier. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious! The meat was tender and tasty and the toppings made the whole thing true to its namesake. I called in my order and the staff member was friendly, patient, and professional. I also ordered a sub and a club sandwich for my daughters, and they both were very happy with them. Well priced and yummy food from a clean and friendly place. I will be back soon. read more

Good people, good food - I'll be back!! A few rough edges since they just opened but high quality ingredients and made fresh. I got the mushroom cheese steak, my friend got the Italian. Both above average but both had too much mayo, an easy fix for next time. I'm a sucker for a good hot dog and they have an impressive foot long menu that I definitely have to try. 4 stars for customer service, 3 for sandwich. I wanted to rate it higher. I appreciate that each hoagie is made to order, although special requests may or may not be honored by Luigi and his momentary temperment. Place advertises Liscio rolls via the packaging in the front window, but I am not sure these are actually Liscio. Way too spongey. too soft. No bite. Its like a squishy Wawa. Maybe I'm mis-remembering or reminiscing about a Conshohocken or Amoroso roll from my childhood. Overall, good for baltimore, but the rolls ain't right. Fix it, and you've got a winner. read more

Me and my fiancee walk by this cool little sub shop almost every day. We are pretty new residents to this quiet corner in the Pigtown community and we're usually on foot so, not a huge selection when it comes to places to eat. When we saw Luigi's, which had re-opened from a near-by location, we knew we had to try it out! Probably the GREATEST decision ever lol. Very delicious, REAL Italian style deli. Each sub is almost 2 meals. Very generous portions, and very generous people!! ....With so much more to try, we'll definitely be back. And soon! read more

I ordered a very good turkey hoagie for a fair price. All the meat and cheese is cut to order and the sandwich is packed full of meat and toppings. They have a very big menu that has all of the classics that you'd expect from a sandwich shop, along with a large assortment of hotdogs, sandwiches and other items. Very good and quick service, I was in and out of the store in about five minutes. The owner was also very friendly and welcoming; I definitely will be returning to the restaurant. Overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anybody who wants to grab a quick bite for lunch/dinner. read more

We had the following entrees after being served salad: penne vodka (super good, our table requested a second plate because we devoured it), Eggplant parm (also really really good), Chicken Marsala (this was good and cooked well), Lasagna without meat (our table didn't get a serving of this sadly so I'm not sure how it tasted). For dessert, we were served Tiramisu and Cannolis which everyone loved. For a big group, this was an amazing place to go and the staff adapted well to make it a good experience. I got the order of calamari fra diavoli with a side of italian wedding soup (so needed on a very brisk autumn night). The pasta was really yummy. It hit the right level of spicy and it was an ample portion of calamari on it. My bf and his dad both got the eggplant parm and both commented on how it was a really well done eggplant parm where the breading was not too greasy and there was a nice crunch when cutting into the eggplant. We definitely do think we will come back again. Food saved it from being a 3 star in my opinion, because the service was a little meh.
