After many moons and failed attempts, we finally got to try their cheesesteaks! Came on a Thursday, late afternoon. Once you walk in, it's quite small; where they cook takes up 75% of the restaurant, but you can watch them cook! (A lot like a five guys) We ordered two 12 inch cheesesteaks: one fully loaded with onions, peppers, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. and extra meat and one with just meat and cheese. Both were prepared in less than 5 minutes and were VERY delicious and hot off the grill! Thinly sliced meat, sautéed onions, sliced shrooms; cooked just like a cheesesteak in philly! (Used to live a couple hours outside philly) I got onion rings for a side which were beer battered and delicious, the wife got fries but the fries were kind of disappointing. The manager or owner (not sure which) was very friendly and so were all the other employees making food! Good atmosphere and great food! Best cheesesteak I have ever tasted. I ordered a 12 inch cheesesteak with sautéed onions and hot peppers. It was sublime and I was stuffed after six inches. I also love that they have Zapp's potato chips and tastycakes. The location on Creighton is small with only five tables inside and one table outside but definitely a place to not to miss while in pcola. Order at the counter and then they call your name once your food is ready, just that simple. We were long-time customers but will not be back! After the last several attempts being horrible; getting home to realize our sandwich was made without the extra toppings we ordered (and paid extra for), almost breaking my tooth on unidentifiable hard bits the cheesesteak meat, etc., tonight was the last straw. I placed my order over the phone and was told to be there in 10min. I was there in 10 min and paid (even left a 25% tip!). The guy didn't even LOOK to see if my order was ready & waiting for me, he just handed me my cup and went about his business. I assumed it was still being made and went to fill my drink cup. I sat down on the bench next to the kitchen and PATIENTLY WAITED for an additional 25 min while everyone else, even those who came in and placed orders at the counter after I was there and paid, GOT THEIR FOOD before me. During the entire time I had been waiting, I kept periodically looking at everyone in the kitchen, making eye contact, so I know they knew I was there and waiting. Not once did anyone ask me my name or check on my order! After seeing someone who had come in well after me and placed a counter order, to get their food, I finally got up and asked about my food. The guy proceeded to look under the front counter, find my food, and hand it to me. HALF AN HOUR OLD, COLD (formerly hot), SOGGY SANDWICH! Even though I had been sitting there the entire time so I knew the answer, I asked him if the sandwich had been sitting there for half an hour and all he said to me was "do you want a refund?" Wtf? No apologies, no offer to remake it, no offer for a refund and take the soggy food that I've already waited for, NO OFFER TO MAKE IT RIGHT, NOTHING! At that point, because his attitude was so flippant & I was so pissed and hangry that I just said "I guess so, I don't want to have to wait another half an hour for another one to be made." The woman there asked if I wanted a new sandwich made and this guy tells her "No, she doesn't want to wait, leave it alone, I'll handle it." Oh, he handled it alright. He had zero interest in helping to make it right! He handled this long-time loyal customer right out the door, never to return. Now, after waiting an hour from when I called in my order, to leaving there with no dinner, I have to figure out something else to eat tonight, not to mention pay for another meal (while I wait for a bank refund) I'm beyond hangry, I'm pissed off and will most likely not go back after this experience. I understand shit happens, but when it does, be a decent human about it and admit your mistake then offer to make it right. That's the right thing to do. Man this place is awesome but they get orders wrong a lot. I always order the Cheesesteak Hoagie which is the one with lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar and spices. The majority of the time they just make me a regular cheesesteak. Even thought I call it just what it says on the menu. CHEESESTEAK HOAGIE. Last time I also ordered an Italian sub with the oil and vinegar on the side because by the time you get it home it will be soaking wet. As I'm waiting for my food I look over and the lady is spraying my Italian with oil and vinegar. When I tell them I ordered it on the side they just wrapped it up and handed it to me. On our way out west we made a quick stop for some grub. Six hours on the road makes you a little hungry. We were looking for something quick with a drive-thru. This place popped up on the list along with the regular fast food establishments. Personally, I like looking for local food rather than the run of the mill when traveling. So we came to this place which is nestled right in between a small convenience store and a Pizza Hut. It's a no frills little philly shop. The walls are painted in complimentary bright green and red with various memorabilia and pictures of their customers on the walls. There are only a hand full of tables in the building and one outside. They have music playing but you can't help but be engrossed in the banter back and forth from the employees in the open kitchen area. I'm not a local to the area, but it was nice to hear the back and forth repartee between the staff and (what I assumed to be) the regulars. They have your standard fountain drink selection of coke products with tea and some juices available. There are several Sandwich options both cold and hot with a variety of meat selections such as: steak, chicken, prosciutto, salami, meatballs, capicola, etc. I chose the Philly Bomb which was a regular philly cheesesteak with Genoa salami added in. You can add sautéed veggies or raw veggies to your sandwich. I added in some mushrooms and onions. You can get the sandwich by itself for make it a combo with a drink and a choice of side (fries, onion rings or chips). I tried the onion rings and fries. Both options were pretty mediocre. The fries were thick cut, the onion rings dipped in a simple batter and both cooked to order fresh. I've had better elsewhere, but let's be honest - I wasn't there for the sides. On to the sandwich! The philly was packed with meat and the bread soaked by the juices. That was a good sign so far. I took a bite and knew that it needed a bit of seasoning. The cheese provided a bit of saltiness, but not enough. After I added a little dash of salt and pepper I took another bite. The steak was good and the cheese made the bite creamy. However, I couldn't really taste the salami or additional toppings. The bread was soft and pliable. I like my bread with a little bit of a crisper bite. That's just my personal preference. It was a good sandwich, but not a great sandwich. If I lived in the area I would stop by again to try some of their other options. read more

I have eaten here for 15 years. Lately it has gone downhill at the Creighton location. I always ask for no cheese due to an allergy. On July 17, 2020 the employees had the music so loud you had to holler to order. The order was wrong again and the woman said we ordered a cheese steak.(I ordered a plain steak). The accuracy rate is around 70% since the owner left that store. The music is always blasting and the employees seem bothered by your presence. Called in, waited 20 minutes to go in, then waited another 40 minutes watching other angry customers leave for different reasons. They still did not have my food ready (order was wrong and half of it "missing" after they made it. Asked for my money back as I was ready to just leave, but they did not have the ability to provide a refund. Ended up leaving anyway, no food and no money either. They can keep my $21. I was just happy to leave and go to McDonalds where I already have low expectations. Truly sad, as I love the food. This is the best sandwich in town (cheesesteak), if you eat it on the premises while it is hot. Thirty minutes later when the sandwich cools, not so much. If you like these, pay extra for the sharp provolone...you won't regret it. I eat mine with just meat and cheese, but there are quite a few options...peppers, onions, mushrooms, and who knows what else. Getting extra meat is relatively cheap (+$1.50, I think) and makes a large (12") into a challenge to finish. I've also had the Italian sub, which is really good. Again, if you get extra meat, you might have to stand on the sammitch to squoosh it thin enough to fit in your mouth...it's that big. One of the best places to eat in NE Pcola, if not a bit out of the way and hidden, if you haven't been there before. If you've had cheesesteaks in Philly, stop by and compare. Ross gets his bread from Philly, so I can't imagine what else could be different. Small interior with a few tables and the wait can be lengthy if you don't call ahead. Don't get in a hurry and think that you're going to get a cheesesteak in the time that it takes to roll like a boss through McDonald's drive-thru...that ain't going to happen. Stumbled upon this place via Yelp. I've had friends who are from Philly, they would describe how great a real cheese steak was. All those found in other restaurants didn't seem to match the description. Well, I think I've found the real deal. Thin slices of meat, peppers, onions, and for .30 cents more mushrooms and hot peppers. Grilled up and then the cheese placed on top before it's all scooped into the roll. The bread is imported from Philly, and it's a very important part of these sandwiches. Man this thing is a delight, hot, gooey, full of flavor. Here's a fun thing, all the sandwiches are the same price, $8.89 for a 12" and $5.49 for a 6". After this first trip, I went back and had the Old World Italian hoagie, filled with three or four kinds of meat, and cheese, veggies of your choice. Forget Subway, this is a real sandwich. I called this in, and for a little Lagniappe they threw in some onion rings. I couldn't stay away, so had the Italian Pork, which is basically a cheese steak with pork and Italian spices.
