I was in town for business. This sandwich shop was right next to my hotel. Decided to give it a try for lunch. It was absolutely worth. I took a cold turkey sandwich. The ingredients were fresh. Overall the sandwich tasted really good. Service was fantastic. I dined in. They stopped by to ask how it was, rather unusual for a lunch eatery, but that was very nice. Drive by here on the way to a different restaurant and decided to turn around and give it a try. When I walked in I was immediately greeted with a smile. I ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich combo meal. I picked a table after getting my drink and when my lunch was ready it was delivered to me at the table, again with a smile. The vegetables were crisp with good flavor and the grilled onions hit the spot. This place would be considered similar to a subway or firehouse subs, but the biggest difference is the ownership here working in the store. During this pandemic, I clearly expected the store to be spotless. Instead, the available tables, with half being unavailable for social distancing mandates, were all dirty except for 1. When I finally witnessed an employee clean the tables, she used the same dirty sopping wet rag from a bucket to clean some of the tables. None of the actual seats had been cleaned or sanitized. The table we had to choose, because it was the only clean one, had 6 chairs, 4 of which were dirty. My husband and I were there over 30 minutes and the pictures attached are the same dirty tables/seats at the end of our visit and were not cleaned during the entirety of our time there. Stopped in to get a sandwich to go for my granddaughter. It was real quick and easy to order and the staff was very friendly and efficient. My granddaughter wanted to make sure we got her an Elsa drink (frozen--so cute). Ordered the kids meal turkey sandwich with lots of pickles, the frozen lemonade and it came with a cookie too. Always our go to place for lunch on evening shift. Excellent quality meats and bread is always fresh. Our latest visit was on Thursday February 4th around 6:30 PM. It was somewhat busy inside and numerous phone orders were being called in. They were apparently short handed that night. The 2 employees, Maddie and Jalia did not stop. Lenny's is my go-to quick service sandwich place, and I've never had a bad experience here. They'll get busy at lunch during the work week which is expected since it's so close to Hurlburt Field, however you don't have to worry about getting back in time due to their fast handiwork. I almost always get a 5" American Club combo which is perfect for those that don't want to eat a whole lot for lunch. If you want a more "normal" sized portion then go for the 7.5" any sandwich combo. But if you've been working outside all day or you just went hard at the gym, then get that 15" monster sandwich. The bacon is not the thick slices that you'd find at a fancy sandwich shop, but they are always crunchy. They tend to run out of the multi-grain bread as the day goes on, however you'll still have wheat as an option if you're not a fan of white. If you get any grilled sandwich then rest easy knowing they cook it to order so you'll be getting it hot off the flat top. The staff is friendly, polite, and helpful. Have you ever felt rushed to say your ingredients at other sandwich shops? Well, you don't have to worry about that here. They've got quite a bit of patience. read more

I've been out of town for almost a year. I returned over the weekend and couldn't wait to get to Lenny's to get my Philly cheese sub. As usual I ordered it with everything and but it came as a disappointment. There was only half the usual cheese onions and beef and very little of their famous sauce. I had to go back and ask for lettuce and tomatoes and face an older man at the register who could only roll his eyes and claim I did not order it with all the works. Stingy with their food and rude to customers. I'll remember the old Lennys with fondness as I move on & find a new place to get Philly cheesesteaks. I recommend you also go elsewhere read more

For the past 6 years I have called in my order at least twice a month, some times more, I tried to call an order in today and was told they no longer take call in orders, I asked why and was told, "because people will call in orders and not pick them up and we have to pay for it". Dined in today (2 people), arrived approx 2 PM, no customers and the man & woman who were working there were sitting a booth off to side of register talking. They both got up and woman, who was very friendly, greeted us. The main reason for my 2 star review is because of the number of dirty, un-bussed tables. We chose to sit at least dirty of the 3 tables facing Mary Esther and had to do a good wipe down of bread crumbs & lettuce. Middle table had crumbs & dirty napkins on it and remaining table had baskets/trash on it. There were also dirty tables in the middle section. After our food was delivered, the man remained in the back and the woman sat back down in booth beside register. Still no interest in cleaning the dining room. This is 3rd time in a row the chips weren't stocked up. I like Salt & Vinegar and hubby likes Doritos - neither were stocked and it's the 3rd time over last 3 months there haven't been salt/vinegar. I typically get cheesesteak sandwich - I guess the cheese goes on bread under the meat because I can never taste cheese. For now, I'll skip eating at Lenny's - maybe I'll try again one day. read more
