When we went to pick up, I was greeted right away, promptly checked out, and we were a little early, so the food wasn't quite ready. Several waitresses came by to check in with me while I waited and that was great to know they were on top of our order. Got home and opened all of our goods and were surprised at the generous portion sizes!! The chicken fried steak on the sandwich was pretty big, and my husband enjoyed it a lot. He said the only thing missing was a side of gravy. Noted for next time, order a side of gravy. The boneless wings were great. The hot sauce has a nice kick, but also a sweet undertone (apple or pineapple, perhaps?) that I really enjoyed. I could only eat half of the wings because the portion size was so big. I'm saving them for a midnight snack. The large Cajun tater tots were also generously portioned. We could only eat half of them, so they are also being saved for later. The Cajun seasoning is great. Not overdone and not too spicy (we were a little worried because my husband doesn't eat anything spicy) but he devoured them and said they were awesome. All in all, we'll definitely be back. On this trip I stopped into Washington Street Liquors in Corvallis. Oregon is a control state, so selections can sometimes be predictable, but this shop had a few bottles that definitely caught my eye. Prices were right around market, maybe slightly into secondary territory on a couple bottles, but nothing outrageous for something harder to find. What stood out most was the staff. Friendly, easy to talk with, and happy to share a little insight into the local bourbon scene. That kind of conversation is always appreciated when you are visiting from out of town and trying to figure out where the good hunting spots might be. The hunt paid off. I ended up walking out with a bottle of Frey Ranch Straight Bourbon, a solid pickup and one I had been hoping to find for a while.
