Phil is the only technician in the Valley who works on electro mechanical pinball machines. Fortunately, he is a great guy, who also knows what he is doing. My Wizard pinball machine (built in the late 70s) was need of maintenance. None of the lights were working, and I couldn't trust the scores. Phil came over to take a look. Phil's Old Pinball Repair and Jukebox We received a Seeburg SPS160 Olympian Jukebox that my father in law had for many years, the Jukebox has not been used for over 10 years after his passing. We moved the Jukebox last week to our house and cleaned out what we could, but could not get the Jukebox to run pass selecting any record number. That is where Phil came into place, I did a search on Yelp and contacted Phil, he quickly responded to me. Phil came over got the jukebox to run, clutch was frozen and cartridge was replaced. It was working and then30 minutes after he left sound stopped. I contacted Phil again and he came back for a 2nd time and that is when he replaced the cartridge, we tested it again and success it was working. A couple days later jukebox was playing terrible, I called Phil and he suggested to replace the 2 needles, I did and at first it was playing rough. Phil contacted me to follow-up, I told him what I was experiencing, he made a few suggestions and said if I couldn't get it working he would come back. I switched the needlesin different combinations and finally got it to work as best as it is going to. I had the pleasure yesterday of having Phil come to my house and fix a broken score reel on my very old "Kings and Queens" Gottlieb EM Wedgehead pinball machine. A difficult repair that Phil accomplished in a little over an hour. "Since he was already here", he asked if there was anything else that needed fixing, or tuning up. He then proceeded to fix a sticky flipper, burnish 3 or 4 rollover contacts that were misbehaving, improve the game's turn on method, all while he sprinkled maintenance tips, other pinball resource names, and generally provided interesting and humorous conversations with me as his repairs continued. This professional and likable experience, he topped off by asking about another old Wedgehead that I owned, named "Aquarius". It had an intermittent, very frustrating reset issue, also involving a score reel that he carefully troubleshot and fixed. All of this at a reasonable price, while exuding a cheerful attitude and bonhomie. A nice guy with a tremendous amount of old pinball machine knowledge, and skills to match. I have a 1959 William's Pinch-Hitter, an electromechanical machine (EM), that was no longer pitching and had other minor issues (lighting). There are not any EM service people in my area. I found Phil online and we communicated about the issues with my machine and he told me about his background and extensive experience with EM machines. I took my machine to Phil and he was able to troubleshoot the problems rapidly, made numerous other repairs, spent time showing me how to troubleshoot issues myself with the schematic of my machine, and had it repaired in short order. All of this was done for a very good cost. There are not many EM service experts still around and he is a valuable resource. The strongest recommendation that I can give is that I drove 450 miles to drop the machine off with Phil (and 450 miles to pick it up) and I would not hesitate to do it again if necessary because my experience was so good. I have a 1957 Seeburg KD 200 that I have owned for 25 years, and my fluorescent lights quit working after replacing them all. I contacted Phil a few days ago to see if he could help get my Seeburg HF100G working again. The motor and record mechanism were dead. He came to my home within a couple days to assess the situation. After some inspection, he was able to correct some of the motor wiring and re-installed it, at which point the record mechanism successfully scanned left and right. While the box is still in need of cleaning and adjustments, at least now with a moving mechanism, I may be able to perform some simple repair tasks. I'm hoping Phil will be able return soon to continue with any needed repairs. My experience with Phil was very positive, and I would gladly recommend him to others in need of his services. read more

Thanks to Phil my 1953G Seeburg jukebox is now working. The mechanism was not working. He took it with to his shop to fix and returned within one week. One day after returning the mechanism a gear in the mechanism broke. He returned to take it back to the shop to fix again. There was no extra charge and about one week later it was working better than I ever thought it would. Highly recommend this company.
