When we first bought our house we realized very quickly that the scorpions loved our neighborhood as much as us. I've lived in the valley over 15 years and had never seen one. Within a few months we had 4 in the house and quite a few we were finding at night hanging out in our brick wall. The last straw was finding one that somehow managed to find it's way into my toilet. We have recently noticed some termite activity and called Precision, who has done our termite inspection and service for two properties. We let our service plan lapse and lo and behold... We called and made an appointment with Wayne, who has always helped us over the years. He came out exactly on schedule, and as always Wayne was efficient and professional. He evaluated our termite situation on the property and has a written proposal for a treatment plan and continuing care. He showed me exactly what would be done, explained how it would be done, and his emailed proposal showed the property outline and the treatment proposal so that I may print and review. The company offers two- and five-year plans at a very reasonable price for you to choose from. He was very kind, and honest and fair. Some folks on Reddit recommended Precision Pest, so I decided to give them a call. I left a message to request termite inspection/treatment and received a return phone call later in the day. They were able to get me on their schedule that same week. Both the staff and technician were friendly. The technician was able to provide treatment the same day; I only had a studio casita treated - not sure if that is typical. I was so moved, I had to take the time to give them props, and my deepest gratitude. This company is family owned and operated, and is a rare delight to work with. No faceless corporate BS... a husband, wife, and daughter run the business, along with Cleve (who has nearly 20 years experience/ the owner has 30 years). She was very knowledgeable and friendly and was able to get me on the schedule in just 2 days. The service technician, Cleve, was arrived at my home literally on-time to the minute and called to let me know here was here. Cleve was very dressed very professionally, friendly with my pets, asked me questions about the bugs I recently saw, and then explained what the process was going to be. He did a great job inside spraying all the rooms, closets, and garage. He also did the entire exterior of the home and perimeter of the yard. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Whenever I see a raving review for a company, the first thing that comes to my mind is no company can be that great. With that said, I'm writing one of those reviews that claim the company walks on water, or very close to it. In Arizona the question of termites is not if, but when will your turn come to have them reside at your home. Getting companies to inspect is both free and frustrating. You will find that prices go from "you got to be kidding" to low-balling with extras if you read the fine print. What you want is a 5-year guarantee that covers everything with no additional cost to you. If you are given a very low price, read everything. I learned quickly that the big con is to offer a low cost then charge a yearly fee starting with year 2. What you should be asking yourself is if the chemical they use claims to work for up to 10 years with a guarantee of 5 years, why should you have to pay more starting with year 2? If you are like me, you will be calling at least 10 companies. It takes time, but doing your homework is what will make your out-of-pocket cost come down. Precision Pest Control wasn't the first company I called, nor was it the last. What I liked about Precision Pest Control was their willingness to beat anyone's price, and the man they sent to do the free inspection. The man who inspected my home, turned out in fact is the same person who did the actual treatment. Cleve, isn't slick like the salesmen other companies sent to my home, Cleve is just a nice older guy who takes the time to explain things. Then when doing the actual work, if you want, Cleve will even explain what to expect from what he is doing. It turns out that Precision Pest Control will beat any other offer, making them always the best price in town. But there is one other thing. After agreeing to hire Precision Pest Control, Cleve who during conversation learned that I have a disability, offered to help me move things out of the way; something the other companies just listed that I would have to do before they would start the work. He didn't ask for more money, he just wanted to make sure I didn't hurt myself. That tells you a lot about the company and their employees. I moved the majority of the things blocking the work together with my wife, and when Cleve came, he gave me hell for not waiting for him to do it. I appreciated what he was saying, and I appreciated the great job he did. What I did when I hired Precision Pest Control was to get a great pest control company, who gave me the best price, and service that no one else even offered.
