My Families home in Az was totally destroyed by fire, smoke, and water. Michael of Heritage Clocks was recommended as the only skilled craftsman to repair and restore our families clocks. Michael came to our home, he was familiar with all of our clocks. The Grandfather clock had been standing in six inches of water for over a week. Another was laying under wet blown insulation in the water, Michael's repairs on all our clocks was incredible. I point these two because the repairs were extensive. As was all of them, these are also my favorite two clocks. The inner workings and gears were all taken apart, cleaned, then reassembled. The inner workings looked brand new and gleamed shiny Golden Brass. The smaller clock my mothers favorite clock looked better then before the fire. Michael took great care in transporting, evaluating the damage and the repairs needed, we were shown our clocks at Michaels also very incredible shop, to learn what was needed for repair and restoration. I wanted to see if all the clocks could be salvaged. Salvaged was not the right word except for one clock that was damaged beyond saving. You have to understand a house fire. There was very little to salvage... to save. Michaels skills saved these other clocks that look Absolutely Great!!! Beyond My Hopes. Michael was able to make repairs to the grandfather clocks feet where it had been sitting in water swelled and split. You would never know the wood was damaged. There wasn't a detail missed by Michael. I actully could write more on the skilled craftman ship that's gone into My Families Treasure's. After living in Arizona for almost 3 years now, I knew I had to find a good clock shop that actually knew what they were doing and I could trust with my 107 year old Antique Ansonia Crystal Regulator clock. The clock has run well since purchasing it in Wisconsin in 2018 but recently was stopping at times and I'd lost the gong strike all together. Time to find a good doctor... After my initial contact with Michael I was very impressed with our conversation and the fact that I could bring my clock to him the next day. I was lucky enough to actually observe him in his shop and watch someone with well over 40 years experience bring this beautiful clock back to life.... After years of silence, I finally called Heritage Clocks to determine if our grandfather clock could be rescued. Heritage clocks not only cleaned and restored its functions, but they also gave us a crash course on how to maintain it. Who knew the dang things needed to be cleaned and oiled every three to five years? By someone who knows what they're doing. Mike also showed us how to use the mechanical systems to turn off the chimes when needed, and how to adjust the time and choice of chimes without messing up the clockworks. None of the parts needed replacing, just careful cleaning, lubricating, and reassembly. Some things need a true, old-world craftsman. I highly recommend! read more

What else can I say. I moved to the valley from the San Francisco area about 2 years ago. My antique mechanical clocks were damaged by Wheaton Vans. After visiting a dozen or so local clock shops with fair to poor results, I found Heritage Clocks here in Glendale and they came out and evaluated the clocks taking six clocks back to his shop. It did take a while, he is very busy, but they were returned in excellent condition. He had to fabricate a pendulum hanger which the moving company lost and had to machine other parts of various clocks. He has a machine shop in his garage and the skills to make whatever he needs. I highly recommend him for the most difficult repairs. read more

I definitely recommend Heritage Clocks for antique clock fixing! We have a 100 year old clock that hasn't worked for years. We couldn't wind one of the gears. I made an appt and took it to Michael thinking it would take hundreds of dollars and lots of time to fix. He diagnosed the problem right away and fixed in 10min for a very reasonable price. Michael was very professional and friendly. He showed me some issues that could be a concern down and gave some tips how to mount the clock on the wall to keep it level. Clock Repair? Mikes the man. Took my Grandfather clock over for him to repair expecting to leave it and pick it up in a week or so. Mike, invited me in, said have a seat, and performs his Clock Magic. He even had to make a part that was not available anymore.
