This year I found sewing classes at A Needle and Thread in Old Town Spring. Working with Erica and Lee Ann has been a pleasure and I am lucky to be able to count on their expertise. We worked on preparing, cutting and, squaring the fabric, sewing a consistent quarter inch seam, piecing the blocks, quilt top, and backing. This is my first finished quilt top. I was also able to find a coordinating fabric for the backing of the quilt right there in the store. Coming up will be lessons on the long arm sewing machine to quilt a design and then wrap things up by doing the binding. I am looking forward to the finished product and onto the next quilt.

I drove all the way from Conroe, and I am telling you that this business is(in my extremely limited experience) an absolute must for any clothing you need for important occasions. I am getting married in 5 days. I brought my suit to them, which i ordered online and did not fit me well at all, two weeks ago and they made it the best fitting suit I've ever had in less than two weeks. They take their time while making measurements with you in the piece, but it is worth it. Seriously. If you could have seen how small this suit jacket was on me and compared it to what it looks like now you would think i got a new one. Cannot recommend them enough. I instantly liked her & the bride she was helping raved about her work, so to me there was no point in looking any further! I'm a BIG fan of bling, but I didn't want to be trashy & I wanted to incorporate my favorite colors purple & sliver, well Michelle did just that. She totally understood my vision even before I did, my dress was already beautiful, but when she added all her special touches my dress was BEYOND PERFECT!!! She adjusted the pleats on the top part of my gown to fit my bust better, she did my bustle & added bead work. Everyone thought the dress was beautiful & it was totally me. My Mom loved the perfect touches she added. She texted me through-out the process to let me know how the dress progress was going, she texted me pictures of all the bead work she was going to add. She was super flexible with times for fittings, I was still in school with a full time job & planning; so things got hectic from time to time. I even forgot one of my fittings because I was studying for an exam & she was more than understanding.
