This is the worst Pho restaurant we've ever been to. The portions were incredibly small; our 10-year-old daughter, who usually leaves food uneaten even with a children's meal, didn't feel full after an adult portion. The prices were also higher than other restaurants. And it tasted like it had a lot of MSG in the dishes. They forcibly charged a 20% service fee without any prior notice, and then shamelessly claimed that three people constituted a "large group." I've attached our receipt. This is the cost for two adults and one child! We paid in cash, and the menu even stated that paying with a credit card would incur an additional 3% fee! Absolutely a rip-off! Stopped in for dinner before movie last night with my friend. We were seated immediately, place is extremely clean and well lit. Family owned. They were warm and welcoming, acknowledging my friend who they know from her previous experiences. My friend got a bowl of pho, Il got the beef stew and two spring rolls. They were served our drinks immediately, and our food came out in under five minutes. The chef came out and explained how to add the sauces and extras, (bamboo shoots, basil, jalapeños) for the best taste. I thought that was a nice touch for those who weren't familiar with eating pho or various Vietnamese dishes. Food was absolutely delicious. Portion size was incredible. This place is absolutely delicious. This was my first time trying pho. I went here two weeks ago and I'm still thinking about how delicious it was! Portions are large, and an even distribution of broth v noodles. The Meatballs were delicious and so yummy. Very quick fast service. Happy to have a Vietnamese restaurant in York and so close to my home! The pho tasted like the pho I've had in Maryland (though one of my Vietnamese friends thought it was so-so). Got it for takeout and the meat was uncooked which was authentic and perfect - it cooked beautifully in the hot broth. Broth did spill in the takeout bag though. I also had the vermicelli lemongrass pork bowl with egg roll and it was delicious! I have always wanted to try Pho but I finally got around to it. First I want to say the staff were very welcoming and clean. Being that it was my first time the chef explained the condiments and how it is typically eaten. I got the brisket and beef tendon. It was tender and flavorful. The egg rolls were nice and have a good crunch. The Thai tea had the perfect amount of sweetness and was refreshing. At first I couldn't decide between the Thai tea and the Coffee. I'm from Hawaii and this food rivals the restaurants we have in Hawaii. I was so happy to find this place to take my friend and my Mom. The food is delicious, service is top notch. It is quiet and I like that because I go out to eat to enjoy conversations with my friends and family. This place is also handicapped accessible going into the restaurant. Pho Ben was the second stop in my York County pho expedition. A wonderful spot that offers an enjoyable dining experience. Pho Ben is conveniently located within the Queensgate Towne Center, so there is ample parking. I arrived around lunchtime, and despite a bustling dining area, I was quickly greeted and seated by staff. The dining area was well decorated and appeared clean. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive during the dining experience. My wife ordered a strawberry smoothie which she said was just ok. It tasted like melted strawberry ice cream. I think I enjoyed it more than she did! To eat I got a large bowl of steak and tendon pho. The pho came out quickly, accompanied by the standard accoutrement, and one packet of sriracha. This is the only Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to that didn't have some sort of tuong ot at the table. I found that and the bottled water to be a little odd. The broth was pretty good. It was clear, flavorful, and seemed fresh. The meat and tendon was cooked well. The portion size was on par with other York county pho spots, but still slightly smaller than others I've been to around the country. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. I really enjoyed a positive afternoon bright and cheerful atmosphere. Service was kind helpful and so fast. I had the shrimp pork spring rolls delicious beautifully displayed. Pho brisket I never had a true pho soup before. Glad I did they bring cilantro basil lime jalapeño slices and bean sprouts to flavor and enhance the soup. I just loved this soup. I took my elderly Mom and friend to Pho Ben. It was on a Sunday and thankfully they were open for a late lunch. What can I say, the food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meals. The owner came to talk with us, he is so nice! We had a wonderful young server, I believe she is the owner's daughter. She was so personable and friendly. I loved the food so much we came back with another friend. We will continue to frequent this restaurant , it's quiet and clean. The food and service are excellent. Stopped in and ordered Bún Thịt Nướng Chả giò (Bun Vermicelli with grilled pork and an egg roll) the price online was $15 but I was charged $19 and change so unless taxes REALLY went up I was overcharged. The food was decent in terms of good quality ingredients however there were nearly no peanut's, literally like 5, and the cilantro was a big sprig on top and not chopped throughout...I like cilantro but don't want to eat it whole and I don't want to chop it up and toss it in myself. read more
